It’s not the worst, but it’s not the best. There are certainly ways to improve it, but for the price it looks to be decent. Just remember, you’ll need to pick up some fans because it doesn’t look like the case comes with any. Something like this 3-pack would be good. Keep in mind that this technically raises the price of the case to $63. Overall, as long as you got some fans for it, it looks perfectly fine.

Ok well for 30 bucks you can't get much but there are these. They probably won't be that good but they will work fine https://www.amazon.com/uphere-3-Pack-Computer-120mm-Cooling/dp/B072LDYKQ6

For cooling, you can get a decent, affordable 3 pack of fans here there are more colors, and there is also a 3 pack with rgb and a controller, but thats $25.
I haven’t had any experience with that case, but im reading that is has below average airflow, and that its missing some things that it definitely shouldnt, especially at that price point. Other than that, it seems like it has a lot of room to work with, looks nice, good for cable management, etc.

Honestly not sure what static fans are. Here are the same I got.

Bro, you can get fans for a few bucks apiece. Here's 3 for 12 dollars.

Would you recommend installing the two as intake in the front, or one front intake and one exhaust at the top? Are these good for this build?
1 points • SeymourBud
It depends on how hot your bucket get, if you only feel a slight warmth that cfm would be overkill.
I used little computer fans to have a constant airflow. I put one on the bottom facing in to draw in fresh air and one placed higher facing out to stuck out air. They're cheap and quiet, the only thing is you have to wire them yourself but it's super easy, just use and old phone charger.
Something like this works great

I use these. I'm actually only using one at the moment as an exhaust. they are good quality especially for the price. only downside is you have to wire them yourself and supply your own ac adapter but that's not too hard and most people have ac adapters lying around.

I've had success with cheap computer fans. 3 fans kept my 20 gal around 58-65°F and my 29 gal 64-68°F. If you live somewhere particularly hot though expect to have to use frozen water bottles in the summer.

PART EXPLANATION
RYZEN 5 1600 (12NM) $99 i know it says 14nm but they don’t even make those anymore but i found the price on ebay from a trusted seller who sells like thousands of these.
ASRock B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard: really good budget motherboard and definitely upgradable
G. Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory: Ryzen absolutely loves fast memory and this should get some wxtra performance for this budget build.
PNY 120GB SSD: this is for windows so your computer can boot up super quick and some game launchers. i recommend an upgrade along the line
2TB HDD 7200rpm: hard drives are so cheap so i threw in 2tb you wont have to upgrade this anytime soon
MSI RADEON RX 580: this card has a lot of power for its price it will definitely let you play s lot of the titles you said you were going to play.
AEROCOOL CYLON ATX MID TOWER CASE: i have built in this case so many times for friends its such a sleek design with some rgb without breaking your wallet
EVGA BR 500w 80+ BRONZE CERTIFIED ATX POWER SUPPLY: this will last you awhile even if you plan to upgrade this psu can definitely handle most things you throw at it

You don't have to spend too much. Even something like this would probably work great. Like I said you can check with 1 fan and see what your temperatures are like. CPU and GPU. But usually 1 intake and 1 out is the base recommended and what my case came with.

You are right! Oopsies!
Add these case fans for some extra case cooling!

$12.99
Or if you’re willing to use a crappier case, go with this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-TYRFING-Computer-supports-pre-installed/dp/B01BITI11G $49.99
It’s got 3 fans pre-installed, but this case is a pain in the butt to build in for first-timer builders from first hand experience.

If they're going in the front, 3 tends to have a better aesthetic (if they're fans with lighting) then only having 2. Typically you want as many fans blowing air into the case as blowing air out.
If I'm reading the right info on your case it only has a rear fan.
So ideally what you want to do is add either 3 fans or 5 fans.
If you go with 3, you'd want 2 in the front and 1 on the top. Giving you the front 2 blowing air in and top/back blowing out.
If you go with 5, you'd put the 3 in front, and 2 on top. Giving you the front 3 blowing in and the top/back blowing out.
Your rear fan should be blowing air out already and you'd want the top fans blow out as well.
Since you said you're on a budget, I suggest 3 non-rgb fans. Install 2 in the front to blow air in and use the extra fan to put on top to blow air out. This giving you a 2 in and 2 out configuration with your existing fan.

Something like that would be good.

If you're willing to spend a little more, there's a 5pack.

If you've got money to spare, the $20 Noctua Fans are the best fans for airflow and silence you can buy.

For $14 you can go for these other Noctua Fans that are still great quality.

If you really wanna save money you can go for these $4.33 each ($13 pack) Fan Pack, but remember you get what you pay for.

This is a 5-pack for $28 (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LmCFf7/arctic-p12-pwm-pst5-pack-563-cfm-120-mm-fans-acfan00137a ). Individually, it’s $7, so $35 for six. I have them; they’re quiet and flow decently, plus they’re PWM and they can be daisy chained, which is useful if you have a limited number of fan headers.
I’ve seen multi-packs of fans on amazon for pretty cheap, but can’t attest to their quality. https://www.amazon.com/upHere-Intelligent-Addressable-Motherboard-Adjustable/dp/B07HK7YRCD/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=case+fan+6+pack&qid=1581036184&sprefix=case+fans+6+&sr=8-5

I highly suggest that you try and buy a gpu from stuff like offerup/facebook marketplace. In my area, i can find multiple offerings of 1660 supers below 200$. Buying new from retailers is just not worth it, the 1650 that you found is about 80$ more expensive than msrp!
I built my pc a few weeks ago and thats what I did. I bought a R5 3600 for 150$ while stuff like amazon and newegg had them listed for 200 and bought a 2060 for 300$.
This is what I suggest : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6YQp3Z
I put a 10100 because its a generation higher than 9100, so it's faster and cheaper for some reason, though the cost does cancel out from the higher cost motherboard.
For the ram, speed isn't the only thing that matters. Timings (CL#, the lower the better) affect performance too. a 3200 CL16 performs about as well as 3600 CL18, and it's cheaper.
I put an NVME, its faster for just a few more bucks.
I put a better power supply with black cables.
I put a better case because it has a mesh front panel.
I left your monitor because it looks like you found the one you wanted.
I can't find any info on if the case comes with fans, but you could buy a 3 pack non rgb for like 10-15$ like these:https://www.amazon.com/uphere-3-Pack-Computer-120mm-Cooling/dp/B072LDYKQ6/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=3+pack+fan&qid=1606755092&s=electronics&sr=1-3
If you buy ones with rgb (for like 20$) make sure they either have a controller (like this: https://www.amazon.com/upHere-Wireless-Airflow-Adjustable-RGB123-3/dp/B07HCZ8D7X/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=rgb+fans&qid=1606754482&s=electronics&sr=1-6)
or a 4 pin 12 volt connection (https://www.amazon.com/Antec-120mm-RGB-Performance-F12/dp/B07V31D5PF/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=12v+rgb+fan&qid=1606754583&s=electronics&sr=1-5)

What you've compiled vs what I suggest, also I found this deal for the keyboard, mouse, headset, and mousepad.
You don't really need the steel legend, the b450 tomahawk max (max is ready for ryzen 3000 out of the box). Saves you quite a bit while getting quite a bit of the bells and whistles. You don't get a 4.0 pcie express lane, but you aren't going to need that unless you increase your budget and needs quite a bit. I'm assuming you're purely gaming, maybe a bit of streaming.
Which leads into why I changed you from a 3800x (great processor) into a 3600x (still a great processor) due to budget reasons. Why build with a 3800x if you're going to limit it? Just grab a 3600x and raise the ceiling for it.
Put the same looking ram that runs at the sweet spot of 3600mhz, as suggested by computer jesus.
Storage was just my prefrences, you have an m.2, might as well get a budget os drive and a sata game drive, supported by our beloved sdd guru, Newmaxx.
From the point earlier, no point in limiting your cpu by the other components, always best to make a well rounded unless you have a specific need! I upgraded you from a 5500 xt to a 5700 because I am an fps trainer. Gotta catch them all! Seriously though, this is the biggest flaw of your prior build due to budget constraints. The 3600x + 5700 vs 3800x + 5500xt will always lose in a gaming scenario.
I cannot stand viewsonic, absolute shit to rma for and questionable build quality in my experiences. I cannot vouch for msi monitors, but the msi optix is a similar ips monitor (viewing angles are much better).
Fuck a non modular psu, and being bronze? Bro, the evga model
I didn't like the look of the corsair 275r, not really much of a corsair case fan (built in the rgb omega spec, 680x, and 570x mirror black). Case should give similar thermals should you pick up an additional 120mm fan for the front. I would suggest these, probably not the best individual fans, but you would be able to lower your rpm due to having more fans (Concept source)
That bundle is a great value for what you get, the k55 is a membrane if I recall correctly, not much of a fan of the harpoon, but the mouse is better than that logitech bundle. The headset microphone should prove sufficient when compared to the mic you selected for the price range. Audio quality may be worse, but you gain a headset allowing for quieter gaming experiences for those around you. That comes in handy when you have a significant other in your living space.
If you need anymore help, feel free to reply.

Something like this would work, comes to about the same price as the prebuilt, but with peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse). If budget is a concern, I would recommend trading down the CPU to a Ryzen R5 1600-F, and potentially the GPU to a 5700xt (although thats not really a step down) for the GPU, as it has similar performance as the 2060 S, and some of the partner cards can get quite low when on sale. You could also consider buying some parts second-hand, and you could save probably at least $100 on the build. /r/HardwareSwap would be the place to find some good deals, eBay has some good deals too. There is also possible to go for an intel build by changing the Ryzen 3200g and the A320 motherboard with a intel i3 10100 and a H410M motherboard. This is about 25£ more depending on local pricing

I went a little overbudget, but there is room for upgrades down the line, and since you have access to a Microcenter parts will be better priced there.
Also, these fans are not on pcpartpicker, so I added an amazon link.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hey there! The Ryzen 3 3100 doesn't have integrated graphics, so you would have to get a GPU for the build to work. Instead, I put a Ryzen 5 3400G. This will be great for your schoolwork. I even squeezed that nice NZXT case in there.
In short, the only thing you'll need to purchase in the future when you're ready to game will be a GPU, another 8GB stick of ram, and a $15 3-pack of fans.
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.
