[SSD] WD_Black SN750 1TB NVMe Internal Gaming SSD - Gen3 PCIe, M.2 2280, 3D NAND $134.99 (Make sure to select Amazon as the seller)

FWIW, the 1TB listed on BB is listed at $200 while on Amazon listed at $150

The sn750 is still $135 on Amazon.

I see it now for the same price. https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-SN750-500GB-Internal-Gaming/dp/B07M64QXMN?th=1

I currently have two drives. One is a 117GB Drive that has windows on it (not enough room for anything else). I'm guessing that's the M.2?
The other is a 1TB Drive that I assumed was a standard HDD (moving parts?) where I have games installed.
I believe my computer has or two expansion slots for more M2 drives. I'm picturing they look like this physically.
I'm mainly playing World Of Warcaft and though not super demanding, does have slow load times with my current setup.

Congratulations on your first build. I'll just ask some questions you may want to ask yourself when you building PCs.
Just looking at your chosen CPU,
Why the z490-e over the z490-a? Do you plan to get a 2nd 3070 and SLI? Do you need wireless LAN already on the mobo versus get an extension card? There might be some other smaller details that the 'e' has 'a', but the 'a' is $30 cheaper. For a 10600k, I'd also consider getting a ~$200 mobo such as Gigabyte Z490 VISION G, Gigabyte Z490 AORUS ELITE, MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK, Asus TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), or the Asus TUF Gaming without wifi for about $20 cheaper. Also, stay away from ASRock boards. They're not doing so hot right now in quality.
If you stick with the z490-e, then I believe it is quad channel. May want to double check. If not, then get 2x16. If you switch to another board, then check if it is quad channel or dual channel.
Why Corsair MP510 960? Western Digital 1TB WD_Black SN750 is, I believe, more recent, better overall performance and endurance, and about $50 cheaper right now because of deals. Other brands to look at would be ADATA, Crucial, Sabrent and SK hynix.
Why a single red NAS hard drive? These drives are ideal for storage especially Network Attached Storage and when multiple are working together, usually in some RAID configuration. You may me be better suited with A) 1 TB 2.5" SSD, B) 2-4 TB Western Digital Black (these are performance brand if you need to install additional games but not on your NVME) HDD, or a C) 1-6 TB Western Digital Blue (these are basic but sufficient for extra storage) HDD. You may also want to look at Seagate, ADATA, Crucial, Kingston, and Sandisk.
That's just a few thoughts.

you can get the SN750 for only $5 more than the SN550 on [Amazon}(https://www.amazon.com/Black-SN750-NVMe-Internal-Gaming/dp/B07M64QXMN/ref=psdc_1292116011_t2_B07L6GF81L)

1tb WD black is $133 on Amazon right now.
Better deals may pop up but I ordered 512mb one last night.
1 points • CrabCakes7
This is a much better drive choice for the same price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M64QXMN?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

Yh imo. The WD black is the best out of the three you've picked.
It shouldn't get that hot tbh. If you really want you can stick a thermal pad on there. But that's not necessary
It may even come with the screw. But even double sided tape is sufficient. As there are no moving parts. That's what's so great about ssds. I'm sure you know of the tape memes by now lol.

The best deal from New Egg for the sn550 is out of stock, and it's $139 on Amazon.
For $11 more, is it worth going to the SN750 black? Currently only $150.

As mentioned by others there is a 1 TB version for $135 on amazon.
I'm not sure if heat sinks are absolutely necessary but you can get them through the link above for $10 extra on the 500GB drive or $20 extra for the 1TB drive.
1 points • iamgreengang
Similar deal available on Amazon, though without the extra 10% off

thank you! I don't know anything about motherboards but whether it is the B450 or the x570, it seems to be sold out everywhere besides very high marked up prices on amazon. Do you know roughly how long I can expect to be able to find one through best buy or newegg?
I found this SSD that you recommended, can you check if it's the right one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M64QXMN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. There's one with Heat Sink but I assume that's not necessary?
Thanks for the case recommendations. The case suggested in my post was from pcpartpicker's build but I'll switch it for something a bit cheaper and better.
I did hear of the 5700 xt driver. Just gonna take the risk but thanks for looking out for me!
Thank you for your time helping me out:)

This SSD, the WD Black SN750, I have myself and it is definitely a good balance between performance and price.

Is this item a good way to go then? This WD version?

Same price on Amazon
1 points • Caribou_Goo2
If you want two nvme drives, you should look at x570 boards. Asus has a good lineup this gen.
You could cover the cost by going with a cheaper ssd like the western digital sn750(select amazon as seller). It competes very well with the evo plus

Amazon now has it for the same price as Newegg and with Prime shipping. It's not in stock until May 20th, but the delivery is sooner than 2 weeks in ebay listing.

Thinking about this one based off reviews and read speed. Basically, Escape From Tarkovs 3 minute load times have forced my hand to by an SSD. lol
1 points • cscqb4
Same price on Amazon available on June 4th. Important to keep in mind that lot's of people who ordered through WD's site haven't gotten their item shipped. Also the 1 TB has been as low as $130-$135 and even lower before. Currently the 500 GB version is selling at $70.

Buy the WD black for about the same price.

1 tb without heatsink is also 134.99 at amazon.

The 500GB version is also $5 off, and the 500GB and 1TB non-heatsink versions are both $10 off from their normal prices!

This is a pretty good one. Granted it’s an extra $30 though

This is the one im looking at for my OS and games. I may get another SATA SSD for additional storage.

Im building my first PC since 2009, and I have a ASRock X570 Pro motherboard, but I confused as to all the newest SSD options there are... My board supports M.2 stuff and I've been looking at them and some of the SSDs say NVMe and I'm a bit lost. I'm looking at this Western Digital 1 TB SSD and want to know if this is a good choice.

Amazon's got a discount on the Black series unit, and it's only five dollars pricier than the WD Blue NVMe - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M64QXMN/ref=twister_B07XQXHPBC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Any opinion on if Gen4 more worth it over Gen3 for this deal? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M64QXMN/ref=twister_B08GFLBM1R?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Same quality as the evo:
https://www.amazon.com/Black-SN750-NVMe-Internal-Gaming/dp/B07M64QXMN/ (on sale)
Slightly worse (still good quality won't make a difference for normal pc use

Hey my guy, that WD Black sale I was mentioning is going on and I'm gonna throw you some links! You can save $35 off your SSD price and get a notably faster and very reliable SSD.

Thank you very much .
MSI lists these specs
1x M.2 SSD slot (SATA)
2x M.2 SSD Combo slot (NVMe PCIe Gen3 / SATA)
Can I use this then?
1 points • xexx01
I see your samsung, and raise you a SN750 1TB for same price!
1 points • TIFUbyResponding
None, just a watermark. But if you ever had a Windows 7 or 8 license, you can get 10 for free. OR, PC World is selling a Windows 10 Pro license for $35 right now.
I would change out your PSU, btw. Not a fan, personally.
How about this?
As for the SSD, try not to get the WD Blue, go with the Black for $15 more.
