Love this kit.

It seems to be trying to directly compete with Patriot Viper Steel 4400, which is b-die, and usually $129. It is on sale at Amazon right now for $117 when you clip the coupon.
And I've used that kit for some crazy stuff.

$135 on Amazon right now.

Since this is out of stock, here’s a an alternative: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KXLFDL6/ $125 right now, but it has been on sale for $110 or a little less recently. Still cheaper and Samsung B die.

What is the consensus on this ram? Buildzoid seems to love them. Cost significantly less, but no RGB.

Are you in the states? I consider this kit a superior value proposition and guaranteed b die.

It's cheaper on Amazon: $129.99 - 10% = $116.99, free Prime Shipping.

Is it this one? https://www.amazon.com/Viper-Steel-4400MHz-Performance-Memory/dp/B07KXLFDL6
Then CL15-15-15-36 is for base clock at 2133MHz. At 4400MHz OC with XMP 2.0, it’s 19-19-19-39. (See feature and details in link)

RAM speed does have an effect on FPS, usually a small amount but in some games it can make a large difference. Go for the Patriot Viper Steel 4400 16 Gb kit if the motherboard you plan on getting supports it.

This one is top notch variation of the Patriot Viper ones for a very good price. More speed and better timings. I think it’s important to get good ram with this gen and for $20 more it’s very good B-die.
1 points • thrownawayzss
Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's a B-die kit. I was checking around shit and I also found the 4400 mhz kit on amazon was at 129$, which isn't a deal, but I do have a 10% off coupon, which would put me 116, which is something. But I'll probably skip because I REALLY don't need a 4400 mhz kit, lol.
1 points • Fireflair_kTreva
If you're willing to get into the clocking aspect, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KXLFDL6/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_bAEJEbQPH9JND
An 2x8GB DDR4-4400 CAS 19 kit. It can be tightened up considerably, especially at lower frequencies. It should easily hit 3800c14-14-14-18-42-254-1T, which is about as good as you're likely to do with a 3700x. You might get slightly tighter sub-timings.
3 points • kcballer816
I dont know about that specific ram kit but this kit is very goo and compatible with ryzen, its also samsung b-die.

cheap 3600 > expensive 3200.
Whoever says 3200 is "enough" is not actually taking your question to heart and likely justifying their own purchasing decision.
sub 3600 you're effectively crippling your CPUs IPC -- you want to run the infinity fabric at 1800(3600) 1:1. Since you can get cheap 3600 (like g.skill neo C16-18-18) there's little reason to go slower (if you need to save $10 that badly, skip a meal).
Best of the best right now is 3600C14 (b-die kits like these ones 1 2 3 can do that with a voltage bump). There are many independent comparisons on Youtube showing noticeable gains with higher speed and tighter timings (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH3qq_mSxTM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3LSnCLpXAA)
tl;dr get the cheapest 3600c16 you can find and forget about it.

I need Ram upgrade or replacement advice
Upgrading to 32 GB ram from 16 GB, will there be a noticeable upgrade to buying 4 of these patriot sticks 4400 mhz or should I stick to my corsair vengeance lpx 3000 mhz C15 and just buy 2 more of those.
Upgrading to 32 GB ram from 16 GB, will there be a noticeable upgrade
Possible Upgrade: Patriot Viper Steel Series DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4400MHz Performance Memory Kit - PVS416G440C9K https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KXLFDL6/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_oIMJEbZPREY0N
Current Sticks I'd get more of for additional ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Desktop Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_YJMJEbXT0D40W

I'm just going to say that you're just throwing money away for a tiny increase in performance, but if you want the best...
for Intel: https://www.amazon.com/Viper-Steel-4400MHz-Performance-Memory/dp/B07KXLFDL6
For AMD: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083TSFB5C

Crucial Ballistix - 16gb 3600 cl16 is about $80, a bit more if you want rainbow puke rgb, and they will clock up to silly speeds.
Other good option is Patriot Viper Steele 4400 cl19 - this stuff is samsung b-die

It's default settings you can change it in bios. My KF CPU settings were on auto. For RAM I would rather go with this https://www.amazon.com/Viper-Steel-4400MHz-Performance-Memory/dp/B07KXLFDL6/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2RVJ83KGBYM42&dchild=1&keywords=patriot+viper+4400&qid=1599770057&sprefix=patriot+viper+44%2Caps%2C240&sr=8-2
It's Samsung B-die, its cheaper and overclocks really nicely.

Best deal for you: Patriot Viper 4400 Mhz
https://www.amazon.com/Viper-Steel-4400MHz-Performance-Memory/dp/B07KXLFDL6
It can be easily OC to lower bandwidth but extremely tight timing. I bougt 8gb*4 and OC it to 4133 CL 16, which is insane pairing with my 9900KS @ 5 Ghz all cores.
I'm tempted to get 10900K but I don't see much value getting it over my current 9900KS

They don't make 16gb sticks in that high on the model I have - which kind of sucks cause they sell dirt cheap. Was actually on sale the other day for 4000- $95. 4400-$110
I am a gamer[emulation too] though so I care more about speeds/latency then having 32gb though.
Imo, with price tags as good as they are though - I would buy above what you need. Either you need it eventually or don't so you downclock it for better latency. You still sell it when it should still cover most the difference.

Slightly better bin of the Patriot RAM that was linked before but about $35 more expensive. Your call as to whether it's worth it, but Buildzoid (and I) love this RAM.

Well it is here. Just bought for $100 on Newegg 2x8gb Patriot Viper 4400 CL19 B Die kit that will overclock to the moon.
Normal Prices:
Oh, I did forget storage. I picked up a WD SN550 500gb for $60 and you can get Multi-TB Platter for $30-$50.

If you willing to tune, these did 3600 cl14 and 3800 cl16 with Ryzen memory calculator for me. Dont know if the heatsinks are low profile enough for you. works fine on my ASUS x570i

How about these that I just bought? Will be using them with the x570 Tomahawk and the 5950x.

- I'd save $70 by buying one of these instead: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YFFX5MD/ref=twister_B082KVPKQ5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Unless you're aiming for absolute technical performance for the sake of absolute technical performance only, and at a higher budget, the difference in read-write speeds will be essentially imperceptible.

- I'd future-proof the build somewhat more by going for a Ryzen 5 3600 and AM4-socket motherboard instead, which will save you considerable money in that area, allowing you to step up a tier with your GPU, or simply for the purpose of lowering the total.

- You could opt for a somewhat cheaper board quite easily, but if you're insistent on this one, invest a little more in faster RAM, like this:
1 points • Dr-Mokum
Try disabling screen space reflections, seems that has a large impact for a lot of people, as well as anti aliasing.
I have a ryzen 1700 and a rtx 2070 super, game runs 60fps at 4k.
If you have the money I'd upgrade to a ryzen cpu+motherboard and ddr4 memory, even with my fairly old 1700 i can run damn near every game at 4k.

If you did upgrade i'd suggest "future proofing" so you won't need to do it again for quite awhile.
Total is little over 600, not a terrible investment IMO if you use your pc a lot.. memory is slow shipping though, can look around but ryzen likes speed so if you did upgrade to it i'd try to get as high as possible memory.
like I said, not really necessary, but it will last far longer than a smaller upgrade

I have one more questions regarding ram, seems like timing is important topic in ram sales for this sub. I've recently purchased this ram here and I can still cancel the order and get its higher mhz counter-part for $20ish more (with the 10% off coupon). I'm currently building a new pc, I plan on using this motherboard paired with an i7-9700k. I was wondering if the timing alone was worth it since I know the motherboard will run the ram at lower speeds.

Would really appreciate some help getting my RAM timing better (ROG Strix X470-F gaming, 3800X, Patriot Viper Steel 16GB DDR4 4400 (PC4 35200) PVS416G440C9K)
The XMP profiles on this board only have 2 setups for around 4200 and 4300 with weird timings... I somehow got it to this speed a few months back and forget how...

I am a noob when it comes to this stuff lol, I just want to get the most out of my memory. I believe that my memory can hit tighter timings at 3600 from what I read but I am so totally clueless how. I tried to go into manual mode for the timings and was way over my head in numbers so many numbers to change. Long shot in the dark, hoping someone can help if they are familiar with this. Been on google to hell and back trying to figure this out.

- b450 pro carbon is good. If you just want to plug things together and get going, it is the board you should buy. If you on the other hand if you are they type of person who wants to sit and tinker with the system itself, overclock, stress test and squeeze every tiny bit of performance out, then buy the x470 taichi. It is worth the 5k extra.
- if you want RGB but want the plug and play experience: buy the Cheapest RGB 3600mhz ram. 2x8gb
If on the other hand want to squeeze every bit of performance and are willing to pay extra for it (no rgb) https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/g-skill-trident-z-series-8gb-2x8gb-3600-mhz-ddr4-memory-f4-3600c16d-16gtz/
great ram, with rgb
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KXLFDL6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
that is the best ram you can buy right now for the price if you know someone who will travel to india from the US after the lockdown. These are not worth the price to performance. it for getting into overclocking.
