Definitely. It's essentially this viewsonic monitor without the official G-Sync module.

Amazon price gouging due to low supply of monitors.

I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this, but here goes. Viewsonic list this XG270QG for 675.99, and of course it’s sold out. However, amazon is expecting a shipment on April 26th, but is charging 783.00 for it. Now I could understand if that were the price of a third party seller, we all know that they pull shenanigans like that all the time. But amazon is listed as the seller. I don’t expect anything to happen with this, I just wanted folks to be informed.

The Viewsonic XG270QG is said to be the same panel as the LG. The difference is it has a G-Sync module so it costs $600 but there are some on Amazon right now https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VP9GS1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_vnIeEbK04NYYP

I asked this exact question in january and couldn’t find any good recommendations immediately, but after some research, this was by far the cheapest one I could find: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VP9GS1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_r0DmFbBR562EA

I have been using it for months and I love it.

I grabbed this a few weeks ago when it was $344+ tax and I have it side by side with my ViewSonic ELITE XG270QG which cost $599+ tax and I honestly like the LG better.

They are so similar but for the money/value side of it I would recommend jumping on the LG deal... I believe the two monitors share the same Panel

WOW still available 3 hours after post. Just bought. I recently purchased the ViewSonic XG270QG. What are the main differences between these two monitors? G-Sync compatible vs G-Sync Enabled?

Do you mean this one? https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-XG270QG-Enhancements-Advanced-Ergonomics/dp/B07VP9GS1Q (It's the one with the LG nano IPS panel and a built-in G-Sync module).

I'm actually leaning towards it, but it doesn't have stellar contrast, and has some other issues as reviews point out.

Hey, I actually almost bought the Asus XG27UQ, but I bought this one instead:

I'm loving it so far. I like that it doesn't look like it was designed by a twelve year old.

With that budget you aren’t getting a screen worth it’s weight. Until you spend like 1000€+ for 4K or a higher end ultra wide they’re all garbage.

At 1440P it’s still going to be like 500€+ for a decent screen. Here’s a half decent one:

I don’t care about TN vs IPS panel, but you might.

Keychron K1 Low Profile keyboard

This keyboard uses low profile keys, which are smaller. They are more like laptop keys (so sort of a compromise between heavy desktop keys and the smaller laptop keys)

I recommend cherry red mechanical switches. These switches do not make loud clicking noises or provide any force feedback so they are quicker presses and silent, which many gamers enjoy. At the same time they still have the mechanical switch mechanism which improves accuracy and respond well to fast gameplay.

Ahh, it's not much to look at though. It comes with keycaps for both Mac and Windows though so you can easily convert it to work with either computer you own.

ViewSonic Elite XG270QG

This is a 27'' 1440p monitor with all the bells and whistles. It has 164hz refresh and Nvidia G-Sync. There's a curved variant of that interests you though personally I use a flat panel display.

I use a 1440p display myself and have used this resolution for many years going back to when I got my Thunderbolt Display for my Mac back in 2011. I find it has adequate workspace for non gaming things (I can comfortably have four windows open and see everything though I usually use two windows side by side with additional stuff on my laptop) and for games it looks quite good.

1440p does require a better GPU than 1080p so depending on what video card you are using, your money might be better spent on a 1080p monitor.

Unfortunately I’m still picking out my monitor. I’m currently using a 4K Sony display (can’t remember the model number) that tops out at 60Hz and has a 1ms response time. I was looking at either this view sonic or this LG. I’m also fine staying at 1080p and going up in refresh rate so I was looking at the Alienware monitors when they were on sale but wouldn’t get one at full price. If possible try to avoid buying from Newegg though. They apparently have a really bad monitor policy that makes it a pain to return defective panels.

Looking for a monitor with:

  • IPS
  • 1440p
  • G-Sync compatible
  • At least 144hz

Any length is fine. I'll be using it mostly for gaming, primarily multiplayer. My price limit is $500-$550. New or used is fine. Here are a few I'm already considering:

Monitor Selection

I've been looking at some decently priced monitors for my new PC which I built. I've chosen the three best (in my opinion) monitors for the $600 price range. Here are my selections:

  1. Aorus AD27QD (Don't need those gimmicky features though) - https://www.amazon.com/FreeSync-Monitor-Exclusive-2560x1440-Display/dp/B07MVX3PKS/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3KCEZDAOUS8N&keywords=ad27qd&qid=1578106473&s=electronics&sprefix=ad27%2Celectronics%2C185&sr=1-2
  2. ViewSonic XG270QG - https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-XG270QG-Enhancements-Advanced-Ergonomics/dp/B07VP9GS1Q/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1ZMD5YIIM0RDY&keywords=viewsonic+xg270qg&qid=1578106438&s=electronics&sprefix=viewsonic+xg270%2Celectronics%2C174&sr=1-1
  3. ASUS ROG Swift PG279QZ - https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-PG279QZ-Ergonomic-G-Sync-Monitor/dp/B07HZSBW7V

Out of these selections, which would you choose? (Also feel free to suggest other monitors at the same price point)

Thanks!

Hahahaha. Best Buy has the same name brands as anyone else, but OK, go ahead and be a misinformed snob. They obviously don't have as many options as other online retailers, but they do still have options.

The Best Buy by me in North Austin has...a 27" HP IPS QHD Freesync Omen at $500, 32" curved Dell Freesync QHD HDR for $450, a 27" Dell QHD G-Sync for $600...all in stock, today, for your buying pleasure. MicroCenter carries the same monitors. They also have several smaller IPS FreeSync options from Asus, Samsung, Acer, etc. All in stock.

Regarding shipping times...there are plenty of options on Amazon with quick shipping. Here's one, get it Saturday for free with Prime:

Here's another, get it Tuesday:

Best 1440p monitor?

Any size other than ultrawide is fine. I'm planning on getting dual monitors. One for gaming and one for productivity. Should I use the same monitor for both or switch to a different monitor? I'd like good color on both monitors if possible.

I went on a monitor guide and it suggested these for gaming. Are these the best there is or is there something better?

Budget: I Don't want to spend more than $700

Prospective Resolution (3840x2160, etc.): 1440 or more

Size (27 inches, etc.): 24-27

Aspect Ratio (16:9, etc.): doesn't matter

Adaptive Sync (GSync, FreeSync, or None): Gsync

Other Features (list other relevant features here):

Usage Type (gaming, art, etc.): Gaming

I'm currently looking at 3 different monitors
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WQ4FXY9/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A2KTA1SDADMGAB&psc=1

This next one worries me, it says that 1440p, but when you scroll all the way down to the bottom and look at the Product Information -> Technical Details, it says Max Resolution 1980x1080. So I'm hesitant about the ViewSonic

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VP9GS1Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1P0G9HM7361L3&th=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZXZ3QBD/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Besides the above notes, they all seem very similar. Can't decide which one though.
