VideoSecu 2 Heavy Duty PA DJ Club... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VRREPG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I went cheap but actually good quality haha

They're metal with a giant base on bottom with rubber feet so they hold up well and stay in place.

They also have side clamps to squeeze the joysticks in place, I also used 2 sided Velcro on the bottom of hotas to make it extra secure :)

Thanks! They're JBL 308p Mkii's and these are the stands. The stands are a bit funky with monitors these big on carpeted floor, but they work. I routed them up through the cable holes just because I don't have the space on the sides of the desk for them, and don't have the space to pull the desk out from the wall.

Using a Scartlett 2i2 to interface the speakers with my PC.

I used these for rears. They’re fine.

These are the stands I'm using. So far these are fine. They're just heavy enough to hold / balance these speakers. I do wish the bottoms were heavier but they're well enough for 20 bucks apiece.

Well satellite speakers are usually tiny sealed jokes that start rolling off at like 200Hz. I would pick even a cheap pair of bookshelf speakers instead. Even $80 Micca MB42X are good enough for surround duty.

Those work fine for pretty much any bookshelf speaker.

I was in a similar boat. This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but I ordered this set (comes as a pair) and use them to hold my stick and throttle. I just push them aside when its time to work.

Stands I had until I moved the speakers to the desk. Worked well.

It's these but I'm not sure I would recommend them. Them seem a little flimsy. I do see a stand upgrade in my future. I shoulda just spent more once 🙄

AMAZING score! I'm sure you already did, but make sure to check for mold behind the speaker grilles and such. Also, does the front right speaker always live on the chair? 'Cause if so, you need these:

Dollar for dollar, I think it's hard to beat these stands. They're only 30 inches high but maybe you could compensate for that with a pad to get a bit more height.

I've used these stands for small surrounds, but they're a bit wobbly for my tastes.

Thanks! Yeah I have some gap so the speakers don't get in the way of rising my desk. I don't adjust the speaker stand, it can be done though. I have it at around 37", these are the stands: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VRREPG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are decent! I think they were made to hold lighter speakers as I feared for my heavy audio engine speakers. I made them more stable by screwing them into two of those round plywood circles you can buy at the Lowes pre-cut wood section. I think they are made for tables. I was able to unscrew the feet and put a wood screw straight though them.

I ended going with these but actually have these coming in this weekend. The side clamp never really felt secure as the speakers are slightly rounder around the edges. The new ones have foundation mounts that screw into the preinstalled mount on the bottom of the speakers.

Securing speakers for a new dad

Been searching around for a bit for an off the shelf solution, and contemplating designing something myself as well since I have access to a 3d printer. Sometimes its just a case of "you don't know what you don't know". My kid is very close to walking and is now looking for anything as leverage to help her get up. I have two fronts are floor standing speakers ( Pioneer SP-FS52-LR ) and my rears are bookshelf ( Pioneer SP-BS22-LR ) on some speaker stands that I'm not married to (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VRREPG). Aside from being vigilant and constantly watching what my kid is going to do which is a given, i'm looking for some good ways to secure these guys to avoid accidents. I'm open to suggestions and can provide pictures of the setup if it helps with visualization.

So if you're itching to mount them on something, I got a speaker stand and added a weight to hold them down. Don't do what I did and try to screw them on. Velcro works just fine.

and just add a weight.
