Good luck.

Also, make sure your hygrometers are calibrated: If you put 1-2 tbsp. of table salt in a small bowl, then add a couple drops of water (enough to moisten part of the pile, but not really make it damp), and seal that in an air-tight container, the air inside should settle at 75% RH in about 8 hours. If you put hygrometers in there, then some say 72%, 76%, 78%, 74%, put +3, -1, -2, +1 labels on them, then you're good to go. The cheap ones tend to be off by a couple percent, but consistently so.

Best thing I found was putting these into my jars with the bud, to keep an eye on everything.

That’s okay, here’s the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNMKYCZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MA4LFb4EMBBVR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

They’re fairly cheap so probably not the most precise, but they work well for my tanks and seem to be pretty accurate.

The link is fixed now and what type of dimmers would you suggest? The type of thermometers I use are: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNMKYCZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I use these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07GNMKYCZ/ref=sspa_mw_detail_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They do show humidity as well as temp. They are both currently 44% humidity and 75F. I’m going to turn the heater up and try to get them around 78.

I generally will use them to rehydrate the plants to a good point, then take them out of the jars. I don't keep them in with them long term. Then you can reintroduced then throughout time if you see them get low. I personally have a Small hygrometer in each jar so I can check without cracking it open.

You can get them on amazon here: Check it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNMKYCZ/

EDIT: came back a couple of hours after the initial photo and it’s at 99%.

> But then, you wouldn't be able to properly measure the humidity in each container.

Amazon has these hygrometers in a 4-pack for $15, and they appear to be panel mount:

Might be I could mount one in each container with adjustable venting like you say. I think that could work.

It's this pack on amazon. I use postertack/blue stuff to stick it to the side of the tank but dear Loup knocks them down all the time so i recommend silicone haha.

You can just lay it on the substrate and it measures everything pretty accurately

I literally start using them (brovada 58%) in jars as soon as I’ve finished the trim and am ready to cure. No clue why folks would suggest not to. I’d be interested in reading their perspective on what negative there is to adding immediately. I’ve only been using these about 5 or 6 harvests, but they’re effective and take a lot of the guess work out.

Dry, manicure, cure immediately with humidity packs.

I also use these go in the bags or jars while doing the standard burping of twice a day for two weeks for roughly ten minutes a piece (exchanging air). After that I’ll burp on 5 minutes once a day for a week. After that they’re on their own for a while

I like these

Very cheap, simple, and never had any issues. Probably overkill if you only need one though.

They are Boveda 62% humidity control packs. Also, whenever I first jar up a harvest I also put one of these in some of the jars: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNMKYCZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TA.qEbQKMEGQS

It's a miniature digital humidity gauge. This way I can keep an eye on the exact humidity level inside the jars. I might need to burp the jars more often.

I’ve found that the ones labeled “for reptiles” are pretty crappy and overpriced. I would reccomend getting something like this Veanic 4-Pack Mini Digital Electronic Temperature Humidity Meters Gauge Indoor Thermometer Hygrometer LCD Display Fahrenheit (℉) for Humidors, Greenhouse, Garden, Cellar, Fridge, Closet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNMKYCZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_cph4EbP32GBSV It doesn’t have to be these specifically but something like this is good. I haven’t personally used them before but they seem better than the non electronic ones to me.

Vetericyn makes a reptile-safe disinfectant if you want to just keep that on hand. It comes in a spray bottle, make sure it says it's the one safe for reptiles. If you can, get a digital thermometer / hygrometer like the one below and just stick it somewhere like on top of their hide. I have two of these in my boa's enclosure as well as some analog ones but the analog ones are in a spot he can't get to. There's unfortunately not a lot you can do but care for the wound and make sure it doesn't get infected. Like the others said, remove all substrate and use newspaper or paper towels and mist often if needed to get the humidity up.

The humidity packs are great for storage! Boveda is one of the popular brands. I have some of those and some Integra Boost, and they both work fine. They sell different size packets to match the size of your container, as well as different humidity levels. I've been using 62% packs, but some people like it a little drier at 58%. I use those in conjuction with a cheap hygrometer that shows me the relative humidity inside the jar. Here's a 4-pack for $14. Those aren't lab-quality, but good enough for what I'm doing.

The packs can rehydrate to a certain extent in the jar, but they aren't miracle workers. If your weed is extra dry I'd start by throwing in some moist vegetative matter like an orange peel or a thick piece of lettuce (I use fresh cut cannabis leaves since I'm a grower). Seal it for a day or two to bring the moisture level up, then add the humidity pack for stable storage.

How is the water line connected to the humidifier? It is supposed to just drip. What is the house rh% (Relative Humidity) as tested in different rooms with standalone humidistats. 1. take all fan leaves off, leaving sugar leaves.
  2. Chop.
  3. hang branches for a week at 60% humidity, and around 70 degrees. Longer or shorter based on the temperature and humidity.
  4. trim
  5. fill mason jars 70% with buds AND A SMALL HUMIDISTAT. https://www.amazon.com/Veanic-Electronic-Temperature-Thermometer-Hygrometer/dp/B07GNMKYCZ/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=humidistats&qid=1592490990&sr=8-3-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyRjgyR0Q2QzM4VVUwJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDIyMDU1M0NKNDlCWFc5V1UyUCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTkxMDUxVUhUNzBUUTMwT041JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
  6. Keep in a cool room if you can. When jars go over 65%, open jars and poor out buds for about an hour to air out.
  7. When jars have been closed for an hour and stay between 60 and 65% you are in the cure zone. I feel at this point, the drying process had ended, and the curing process begins. Good things are happening! Burp jars twice a day the first week, and once a day the second week. When you burp, make sure you shake the buds up a little so they do not stick to each other. The buds should roll freely around the jars.
  8. Make sure you stay in the cure zone. Any jar that goes above 65%, you will need to open and let the humidity drop. If humidity goes below 60%, add a bovida humidity pack to the jar to bring up to the cure zone. Then take out the bovida once at the cure zone. (Alternatively, you can use a piece of bread).
  9. After two weeks, leave the jars closed, maybe open them once a week during the third week. After that, do not open as long as the humidity is locked. Shoot for 62%.

Make sure you take a sniff of your jars each time you burp. It's amazing to see how the scent develops. If you start to smell anything that resembles ammonia, you have issues, and should dry more.
