Do you think this would be a good alternative? From what I understand from the other comments the V20 port is just like any other USB c port and you can just hook it up with a regular USB c hub (like for a MacBook).

Here you go, won’t put pressure on your usb c port like the hyperdrive, cheaper and only a fraction of the price.

Those are all good but I suggest you go with one which connects via one port. Although you have 4 total USB C ports and I have 2 on my MBA, I would still suggest keeping that port open. You could go for this VAVA adapter instead or go for an Anker model which may have less ports.

I don't have those specific devices OP, but I bought this VAVA USB-C 7 in 1 hub for my Tab S6 & it works great for that as well as my Galaxy S10+. No issues at all with charging & it supports up to 100W PD for the charging port.

For ports it has: 3 USB-A, 1 HDMI, 1 PD charging, 1 SD card, & 1 microSD port. And there's a $2 coupon for it, so instead of $25 its $23 atm :)

Yeah I mean I don’t feel you need anything too crazy, definitely not a $300 dock. This is the one I have and it does the job really well. I transfer off a QXD reader to my desktop screen then transfer the edits to an external drive while hooked up to an external monitor.

If you mean a dock with USB-C output w/ DisplayPort passthrough, I haven't seen one except for Thunderbolt docks. What I meant was use a hub with a DisplayPort.
