This is the one I was going to get. The tv I have now is good but the HDR aid kind of weak so I wanted something that’ll do the new system more justice.

TCL makes great budget sets. TCL 55" 6-Series 4K UHD Dolby Vision HDR QLED Roku Smart TV - 55R635 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0885F5GMP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KGAGFbRQ3SPNV This one is too big for you but it's specs are awesome for the price. Wait for prime day or black Friday and get something similar.

Hey, I am no TV expert, but I recommend checking out rtings.com and searching whatever TVs you are looking at. You can see the input lag and more details. Having HDR10 is good, however what I have learned is that most cheaper TVs do not get bright enough to achieve true HDR.
I am someone who doesn't like to spend a ton on my TVs as well, but if you can at all swing it, the new 2020 6 series from Amazon is actually pretty damn good for the price. This one here: https://www.amazon.com/TCL-Dolby-Vision-QLED-Smart/dp/B0885F5GMP/ref=sxin_9_ac_d_pm?ac_md=3-0-VW5kZXIgJDgwMA%3D%3D-ac_d_pm&cv_ct_cx=tcl+6+series&dchild=1&keywords=tcl+6+series&pd_rd_i=B0885F5GMP&pd_rd_r=0ed6a11d-5f93-420f-9588-968cf9a7beca&pd_rd_w=HQUE7&pd_rd_wg=l6wjI&pf_rd_p=7be0d365-42b5-4a96-a2d8-6c85cad85d35&pf_rd_r=FCFWSAY6RH7RE94W9ZDM&psc=1&qid=1601573693&sr=1-1-22d05c05-1231-4126-b7c4-3e7a9c0027d0

A cheaper option without the 120hz/fps would be a TCL 6 series. I own the 2019 model and love it. https://www.amazon.com/TCL-Dolby-Vision-QLED-Smart/dp/B0885F5GMP/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2SUJM7D6PKJD4&dchild=1&keywords=tcl%2B6%2Bseries&qid=1605220108&sprefix=tcl%2B%2Caps%2C215&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExSkk0WFQwT0hCUldKJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjQyODc5MjBaSjFCSk1CNUxLSCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzk3MjUwU1I2VFM5Rks5Tk1OJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1

So get this TV. TCL 6 series. 55 inch is the size you want to go for, smaller sizes kind of suck.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0885F5GMP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_0-jIFbSNPZKWF
And plug the TV into the speaker via optical. You can leave your record player attached and switch between vinyl, TV and Bluetooth.

You’re not going to get good picture from a 65” for $600. You could spend $50 more and get a solid 55” though.

The TCL 55" 6-series from 2019 is supposed to get an update "later this year" to enable eARC (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-55-class-6-series-led-4k-uhd-smart-roku-tv/6367716.p?skuId=6367716). Who knows if that will happen until it does, so if you wanted a safer bet, albeit slightly over your upper range, the 2020 version of the same TV has eARC out of the box (https://www.amazon.com/TCL-Dolby-Vision-QLED-Smart/dp/B0885F5GMP)

Sony X900H vs TCL 6-series in terms of picture quality and brightness?
I'm looking at either the Sony X900H or the TCL 6-series for my next TV.
The TCL is attractive because of this QLED stuff but I'm not really sure how that translates to picture quality. The QLED stuff seems cool but does it make that big of a difference? The Sony X900H does not have the same QLED technology, correct? Though it seems to be a higher end TV. Which would you buy?
I'll mainly be using this TV for PC gaming at 1440p (until I upgrade my PC).
Also, which do you prefer, Android TV or Roku TV in terms of TV OS's?
Edit: Hmm, I'm also eyeing the Samsung Q70T now. This seems to be a great TV for gaming also

A new TCL at 55 inches could probably be had for that.

The new TCL 6 Series or this Hisense H9G. Unfortunately both hard to find in the 65", I had a 55" for 6 years and will wait a little longer for the 65" to either drop in price or become more available. My limit is around $800.

Any idea how it compares to my https://www.amazon.com/TCL-Dolby-Vision-QLED-Smart/dp/B0885F5GMP?
I'm sure yours is better...but I wonder by how much? Not trying to get into a pissing contest, just wondering if the investment is worth it.
e.g. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-cx-vs-tcl-6-series-r635-2020/10619/15791
9.1 for you vs. 8.3 for me with regards to video games. eh...might be worth the upgrade.
How many hertz is your lg cx? Mine is only 60hz.

Amazon now has the 55" in stock if you're interested in that size!

The cheapest TV that can take advantage of 100% of what the PS5 offers is the Samsung Q80 50". It's a little over $1000. Do not get the 49", which doesn't have HDMI 2.1.
Sub-$1000, your best bet for overall quality for a TV that is also good for gaming is going to be The TCL 635 55". This has a 120hz refresh, good local dimming, nice color and brightness, and short latency. It does NOT have hdmi 2.1, but no TV in this price range does.
If your budget allows, the LG BX 55" or the 55" LG CX, which is only $100 more are the best TVs under $2,000 out there.
