Looks like both of those linked lights are blurples (old led tech). I would stick to 301b diodes.
light link (couldn’t find Canadian link)
I prefer 301h diodes from kingbrite on alibaba. I have ordered from her many times always amazing.

I guess the most important question is what size is your grow space?
If you have a 2x4 tent, the SP3000 is one of the best lights you can get until you go way up in cost to boutique quality. IMO the TS series is pretty bottom of the barrel. Less efficient off brand drivers, less efficient LEDs, and no real heatsink so it runs hot and shortens the lifespan. If you need something as cheap as possible, the TSL2000 will do alright for a few years, but if you want to just get one light that will perfectly cover a 2x4 for flowering and last for likely a decade or more, the SP3000 is a better bet.
Both draw a little under 300 watts, but the TSL2000 has a third-party tested actual usable overall efficiency of 1.83µmol/w vs 2.12 for the SP3000, and a total output of 523.6µmol vs. 630.3
The SP's serious heatsink means less direct heat on the plants and a longer durability, while the better driver and LEDs provide more light for the same power draw/heat.
The only reason I would suggest the TSL2000 is if your grow space is shorter than 4 feet, but at that point I would suggest a different style of light like the SpiderFarmer SF-2000 or another brand of that same type of 200-240W double board fixture. That kind would be perfect for a 2x3.
If your space is a 3x3 or similar, the new Mars FC3000 multiple-bar-style light may be the ideal option, however I don't have any personal experience with it nor have I seen any reliable third party testing yet because of its newness. It should be nearly identical to the top tier efficiency and wattage of the SP3000, except in a different shape/layout.

I started with 2 mars hydro leds that I’ve had for years, but one burnt out on me during veg, so I replaced them with a spider farmer 2000. It’s great!

It’s a great alternative if you don’t want to order a Chinese quantum board off of Alibaba for whatever reason.

The Spider Farmer light is a great light that can be purchased on amazon. A lot of people love the kingbrite QB’s off of alibaba but those have a long wait time for shipping and such.

For that size tent, a Spider Farmer SF-2000 should be just right. Unlike most other small-tent QB lights on the market, it's UL-listed, which has major implications for home insurance. As far as I know, the only non-SF QBs that are UL-listed are the HLG 550s.

I just upgraded a blurple to a 200w qb in my 3x3x7 tent about a month ago. I have it paired with a blurple that claims to be 1200w (just under 200 actual). It is more than the lights you posted, but it is the size of your tent and would be a great starter. I used blurples for 2 1/2 years before upgrading though. People shit on blurples but they are a cheap way to get into the hobby.

The tent and the fans are good. The light and the grow kit are garbage. This is a properly sized light for that tent. You need a 4" blower/carbon filter.

I have mars hydro, HLG and spider farmer, basically the HLG and spider farmer are identical, the mars hydro uses cheaper LED’s but still produces great results

For those interested - here's some info about the system:
The lights we used are SpiderFarmer SF-2000's. We got a good deal on them - under $300 a piece at the time. We are running 1.5" netcups staggered spaced 6" apart center to center. The main channels are standard 3" PVC that run 10' in length down to a 1.5" diameter manifold with a ball valve at each channel. There's maybe a 1" drop between the high point and the low point of the system so keep water relatively even in the cups.
The whole thing runs back down to another single manifold that leads down to the reservoir by running the length of the tables underneath thru a 1.5" drain line. There's also a 90* bend right before it reaches the reservoir to slow down the flow of water slightly to make sure it stays in the channel deep enough for every site to have water at the bottom of every cup.
An old fish tank pump keeps the whole system running + the lights are run to outlets that have been wired directly over the setup. They're all on 18 on / 6 off timers.

We're supporting 120 plant sites, the whole system [tables, lights, timers, PVC / fittings, etc] ran around $2,000 and takes up about 50 sqft of space by my estimate.
Hope this is helpful!

I really appreciate your help dude, I can’t wait to see what else you have cooking up too over the next few months 😁 I hope you enjoy the gold!
I have my eye on this Spider Farmer SF-2000 with LM301B Diodes which is currently on a juicy sale for almost half off. It might be a bit strong for the early veg state but I could always adjust the height right? The tricky part would be figuring out how to mount it directly to the ceiling without worrying about the weight (about 9.5 pounds) bringing it down onto the little ones

You can flower 4 moderate sized plants really well with the Spider Farmer SF-2000. I don't have one yet but I know a few people locally that are having a lot of success with them. Newer HLG boards are getting hard to find a a good price these last few months. Usually it's older models for sale. Two people I know have tried the really cheap knockoff quantum boards. One worked great, the other came with a faulty driver that literally burned the metal casing. I avoid them for that reason.
1 points • Unterseeb00t
FYI you can go much cheaper than HLG. Spider farmer for example has qb prebuilds with the same spectrum as rspec for a lot cheaper.

Thanks man! This particular light is the Spider Farmer SF-2000
I heard about Spider Farmer through this kickass analysis video and decided to take the plunge. I couldn’t be happier with the investment so far, as it’s blown every other light I’ve ever used right out of the water!!

Depending on how much money you’re willing to drop, first option i would probably get 2 of them to fill the space, by no means are these good LED lights but they’re better than what you showed above and will work way better. Next step up which will cost a pretty penny would be a spider farmer 2k they’re roughly ~$300 off Amazon i run 6 of those in my room and have had great results. If possible I would reconsider the 100$ light budget. There is nothing very efficient or high quality available at that price point. For 300$ you could get a 260w Quantum Board kit or this 200w Fully Assembled Quantum Board. These will flower out a 2x4 canopy very nicely. It is x3 ur budget, but it will save you tons on electricity, and it will last for many years. Whereas a 100$ blurple LED will cost more in electricity, and will fail in a year or two. A 315w CMH light would also work well, and they are fairly cheap, but less efficient and also they give off a lot more heat compared to LEDs.
1 points • SeeArrTees
From what I understand, the blurple lights were hip a few years ago but don't provide quite the spectrum that plants need. Today there are more efficient white LEDs so there's no point buying new blurple.
I was looking at the Spider Farmer boards, but ended up buying this DIY kit with slightly more assembly required but much better value.

I use this light for vegging and i am very satisfied with it. It has 3000k and 470 nm blue diodes. It uses up to 135 watts
I don't currently own this light but it will probably be my next purchase. It uses a combination of 3000k, 5000k, 660nm red and 760 nm deep red diodes. It's good for all stages of growth and could easily flower a 2 x 4 space using only 200 watts.
You could probably get something cheaper on Alibaba but i personally prefer the quality assurance that comes with Western companies.

Sure! I'm new myself; this will be my first year doing it too.
I love cucumbers, and looked into ways I could grown them inside. If you want to go hydroponics, there's always the Kratky method, though I decided against that because I want to see how long I can keep the plants growing, rather than limiting them to the nutrients you start with.
I bought a quantum board from Spider Farmer and set it up in my basement with a smart plug for a timer, and set out a number of grow bags underneath it in a tote (though raised up a bit to let them drain properly). I'm planting some Sweet Success in them this weekend. I also have a trellis that I can set up on the wall once they start climbing, so they have additional vertical room.

Great thanks for the advice! I read about the light I posted in the micro grow sub so I thought it was okay but what you're saying makes sense. This is the only light I can find like you're saying for a 2x4' tent space using a quantum board and a fat heat sink. If you have another you'd recommend can you please link it? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TVD1Y3K/

Whoa, thank you for that link.
It appears this item from Alibaba is exactly the same as this Spider Farmer from amazon.
I can buy two from Alibaba for less than one from Amazon. I've never ordered from Alibaba before. Is there a catch? I notice that shipping says "To be Negotiated". How does that work? I need lights from next winter, so I have zero issue ordering this month and waiting several weeks for the product to arrive. Lastly, how does warranty and DOA claims work on Alibaba? One great part about Amazon is that if it doesn't work, it's three clicks to get a replacement sent that day, and get a shipping label to send mine back. There's a lot of peace of mind there. But I'm not sure the peace of mind is worth 3 times the cost (110 dollars versus 300 dollars)

6" exhaust blower with carbon filter (prob overkill and could've gone 4" but :) )
The rest is just some 5 Gal fabric smart pots, plant risers and saucers to catch water run off.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I finally switched my flowering closets to LED quantum boards from HPS, and I would go that way for sure. I've got 2x4 rooms, so I bought the Mars Hydro 2000 (https://www.amazon.com/MARS-HYDRO-Spectrum-Updated-Growing/dp/B07PLZLKVM?th=1). The other Amazon option is the Spider Farm version, https://www.amazon.com/Spider-Farmer-Commercial-Greenhouse-Hydroponic/dp/B07TVD1Y3K/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=spyder+farm+led&qid=1589203202&sr=8-2. If you want something less expensive, you can buy direct on Alibaba, and the brand I hear discussed is King Bright. But I don't know much about those. Again, the two options I mentioned are made for a 2x4 space, so it kind of depends on the size of your grow room. And I went the Amazon direction because Alibaba takes a long time to ship, and I wanted to switch over right away, as I was in between grows.
