I like these quite a bit.

They have a few tiers to chose from, I chose the mid tier which had better sweat proofing (mid tier was the on recommended for workouts). The ones I have are not, just a snug fit and solid volume to block out other noises. But I think their $60/$70 model advertises noise canceling bc it’s more meant for conferencing I guess.

The ones I have though really shines through though when I first took them for a spin. Went for a bike ride and tried to do a little Calm meditation session in the park, had a family with four small children come up and start playing, probably only had to turn it to 60% to block out the noise. Really impressed especially for the price point. My AirPods were awful in airplanes, but I could see these being wonderful once I start flying again.

I've purchased these twice now (lost the charging case). They appear regularly on slick deals for about $25-30. Definitely on the cheap side. Audio quality is sufficient for me but I'm by no means an audiophile.

These are cheap and really good to me. They sound fine, have good battery life, and fit in my ear very well.

The best thing about them is that you can pair the left and right separately. Since I use only one earbud while hiking, I use up the battery on the right then put it in to charge, then use up the battery on the left, then put it in to charge etc etc. It says 3.5 hours per charge but I'm getting like 5 honestly. I took them on a 3 day hike where I forgot my charger and they made it until the last 3 hours of the trip on a charge. And I listen to audio books like an addict. Like I start em up at 7 AM with my coffee and all through morning camp chores. Then I hike all day. Then listen while setting up camp and making dinner and falling asleep. I love my books. lol

I got these for my wife a few months ago, and she likes them for running.

These are great: Sennheiser PMX 686.

• They are semi-open, so you can stay aware of things around you like cars etc.
• They are not in-ears. In-ears are a very personal thing. For some of us they fit great and aren’t uncomfortable. Others struggle to get a good fit or get claustrophobic from the sound insulation. This is very dependent on brand, whether they do sound pass-through etc.
• They will stay on your head even through a nearby nuclear strike

Only minus I can think of is that they are wired, so you risk getting snagged.

I bought a set for my wife almost 10 years ago. They are still ticking, and she swears by them.

I went in-ear myself, and got the Anker Soundcore Liberty. These have great sound, are water and sweat resistant, wireless and WAY cheaper than Apple AirPods (currently $30 on Amazon). I suspect that Harman/Kardon are selling a re-labeled version.

Both options have really good sound. Obviously the half-open ones make some compromises to let in external sound, but it makes them safer for biking.

When I say “really good sound”... I like both very much, and my usual headphone rig at work is a $3000 Woo Audio + exotic Japanese headphones setup. :)

I spent a long time scrolling through amazon and could only find these, they have the most similarities. Oddly enough a lot of the brands have almost the exact same logo which is very frustrating
