If you want all that, they are pretty pricey - the 55-inch Sony X900H is $1k USD on Amazon. You can get a nice Samsung 4k UHD TV for half that price.

This is widely considered the best if you don't want to pony up for a OLED display. https://www.amazon.com/Sony-X900H-55-Inch-Compatibility/dp/B084KPSM5C/ref=sr_1_3?crid=25PN5LCVI21A1&dchild=1&keywords=sony+900h+55&qid=1605219998&sprefix=sony+900%2Caps%2C208&sr=8-3

You need HDMI 2.1 if you want 4K 120fps. There aren't a lot of TVs that offer this. This 55" Sony does for $999.99

Your best bet is probably the X900H series from Sony. Currently $998 for the 55" version.

>Expect to part with at least £1,500 at the moment for a tv that will take advantage of all the features available for your shiny new Xbox

People keep saying this and it is not true. Rtings has multiple options well below that.

Sony x900h

  • 4k

  • Dolby Vision HDR

  • HDMI 2.1

  • 120hz screen

Also, with all the mentions of the Samsung Qleds, it is worth noting that none of them support Dolby Vision. Samsung went with HDR10+

I will never understand why people downvote objective, factual information.

I might be wrong and it may have been on there for ages. But Amazon.com says it'll arrive Winter 2020 (on the 55inch product page).

Hey man!

2160P is the resolution. It means it's 4K. 1440P resolution is 2K, so half the amount of pixels than 4K.

What you really need to look for is a TV with a good refresh rate. This TV only supports 60hz, which is not too good. I'd recommend this tv to my grandparents, I wouldn't recommend it for gaming.

Look for a TV with 120hz and hdmi 2.1.

I'm not sure your budget, but I know the Sony X900H series is a great fit. I actually just purchased this guy. It will take full advantage of the PS5. Amazon

Sony X900H vs TCL 6-series in terms of picture quality and brightness?

I'm looking at either the Sony X900H or the TCL 6-series for my next TV.

The TCL is attractive because of this QLED stuff but I'm not really sure how that translates to picture quality. The QLED stuff seems cool but does it make that big of a difference? The Sony X900H does not have the same QLED technology, correct? Though it seems to be a higher end TV. Which would you buy?

I'll mainly be using this TV for PC gaming at 1440p (until I upgrade my PC).

Also, which do you prefer, Android TV or Roku TV in terms of TV OS's?

Edit: Hmm, I'm also eyeing the Samsung Q70T now. This seems to be a great TV for gaming also

Sony and Samsung are both great. If you're budget-conscious, Samsung's Crystal UHD's are a great option. You can go up to the Q series with a better processor for a better picture, but you obviously pay for it. If you want real top-of-the-line shit or if you're gaming on it (I don't game, but have heard it makes a difference), you want something with a 120 HZ refresh rate like this Sony or this one with a better processor.

I personally don't do much on my TV but watch sports and occasionally Netflix. I probably spend 5-10 hours a week watching my TV, and half of those I'm more listening to a game on my TV while I'm cooking or whatnot, only looking occasionally, so I am not going to drop a bunch of money on a TV. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment so I'm never hosting watch parties or anything here. I have basically the equivalent of the base model Samsung with the Crystal processor, except from 5 years ago. Works perfect for me.

I'd say the Sony X900H then. Still 4K, 120hz, HDMI 2.1 w/ VRR, the works. Also 1/3 the cost of the CX: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084KPSM5C

Thanks for that reply. You guys are giving me a ton of info and most of it is way over my head. I'm really trying to wrap my head around what ya'll are teaching me.

That's a really nice setup you built for me. Thank you for that. The 1000$ was just for the sound system as the Vizio system was 500$ and I figured I could push a little more. I would really like to stay in the 500$ range though.

As far as the TV goes. I'm looking at these two models but may wait til next year when 2.1 HDMI is more available. (55" maybe 65")

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084RGZ3P7?tag=rtings-tv-r-20&ie=UTF8&th=1

Here are my questions now.

Is it going to be a problem that the rear speakers are going to be flush with my couch? At best I can push the couch forward a bit.

This setup WILL be able to hook up to the PC and TV?

Is this a 5.1 surround sound setup? (I get lost with all the different numbers)

If I REALLY wanted too could I upgrade to the speakers that Erzfeind_2015 showed me above?

https://www.fluance.com/sx6-high-definition-two-way-bookshelf-loudspeakers-natural-walnut (Front)

https://www.amazon.com/Fluance-SXBP2W-Theater-Surround-Speakers/dp/B00067OLOS/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Fluance%2BSXBP2W&qid=1597421488&sr=8-2&th=1 (Rear)

Last question, this setup SHOULD sound better than the pretend Vizio atmos setup I posted at the top?

(Obviously i'm guessing it's going to produce way more sound but i'm wondering if the differences in the ATMOS sound to / surround makes a noticeable impact even though it's a weak ATMOS system) So which will be BETTER for immersion is what i'm asking.

Thanks for your reply ! No rush on replying back. I put a lot in here.
