My roommate had a problem with me hitting snooze on my alarm, I was like "I'm literally unconscious when it happens, there is no decision being made, I don't know what you expect from me."
I now have one of these, I find it helps. The roommate actually complains more, but I care less.

I think you might want to look into an alarm clock for deaf people. They make ones that will shake your bed. https://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Alert-SBB500SS-Extra-Loud-Flashing/dp/B000OOWZUK#:~:text=Wake%20With%20A%20Shake,pillow%20to%20be%20shaken%20awake.

Try your landlord first before directly contacting your neighbor. A tenant is causing a disruption to another tenant. I'm not a parent and don't know if or how your neighbors can control a young child at that hour, so do so at your own risk. It may not get you the results you're hoping for and/or piss off your neighbors. I think they're jerks, btw.
Have you looked into "earthquake" alarms? I haven't used this brand, but this is one that you can find on Amazon. My brother had something similar when he moved into my house. It was effective for him (and everyone else in the house). I would think that you'd still be able to wake up if you used something like this while wearing ear plugs.
If you exhaust those options and you can't get a decent night's rest, that's when you would think seriously about relocating.
ETA judgment: NTA - you would not be the asshole for contacting someone about the issue. Just tread lightly because you're completely unaware of the local laws and do not speak their language.

You have got to be the most considerate neighbor ever.

That was a pretty good alarm. Wasn't perfect as I'd unplug it in my sleep without remembering it, but that's my fault. When I did remember it, the vibration was extremely strong. Worth a try if you need a silent alarm. It

This would help, I have the exact one with no problems.

I use a Sonic Bomb alarm clock and put the bed shaker under my pillow.
https://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Alert-SBB500SS-Extra-Loud-Flashing/dp/B000OOWZUK
I usually just use the bed shaker since with sound alarms in general, I tend to just silence the alarm and go back to sleep.

On sleeping patterns I can relate. I'm also severely hearing impaired. With this, I have never missed an alarm again. Life changing. Just remember it's going to wake everyone else in the house too, probably.

I second this. I got one that goes under my pillow and shakes me awake. My alarms were driving my husband crazy. There's one called the Sonic Bomb on Amazon for around $30.
Edited to add the link.

Either go to bed earlier (you're obviously not getting enough sleep) or buy a vibrating alarm clock meant for deaf people

Yes! I use the sonic bomb alarm clock, it’s really loud and it comes with a bedshaker that can go under a mattress or your pillow

Maybe get an alarm clock that makes your bed shake. I have one but I had to stop using it Bc my neighbors said they couldn’t sleep in on weekends since I moved in. Smh

Idk if this will help but I bought my husband an alarm clock called the sonic bomb and it’s super loud but there’s also a piece you can put under your mattress that shakes you! It might work

Someone already said do the across the room thing, that's what I have to do. I use this alarm clock and it's loud and has lights and a vibrating thing you can stick under your bed. It works, hitting a snooze is the part I struggle with
1 points • solecito_suavecito
Get him a deaf alarm clock. Shakes your bed vigorously and has an increased decibel level alarm. No excuse. Some even can connect to lamps and flash the lights in the room. Lights flashing, loud as hell, and vigorous shaking should wake him up.

Sonic Boom (different than the sonic bomb, is white and can connect to a lamp)

Here’s a link to the alarm clock on Amazon. If you get it (or one like it) I highly recommend putting the buzzer on a hard surface if you’re a super deep sleeper. I just put tape on the cord near it to keep it relatively in one place. It’s annoying as fuck but way more effective than my past alarm clocks!

Buy her a Sonic Bomb alarm clock, and set it to go off after you leave in the morning. It has a bed shaker and everything.

This is the type of alarm deaf people use. I’ve used it and good god it’s loud. And if you don’t want to wake up your roommate you can use the bed shaker thing. It works pretty well. I got it so I wouldn’t wake up my roommate.

NAH. School is important, and you’re trying to prioritize. You can make her feel appreciated even if you aren’t going to dinner, but she reneged on your agreement by not waking you up. That was vindictive and immature on her part.
With that said, you can’t keep relying on her. I have a family member who sleeps like the dead, but they had some success with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000OOWZUK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2UtCFbH5N224P
Try looking for something along those lines, it might help.

The Sonic Bomb alarm clock would be a great solution. It’s super loud if you need it to be, but it can also wake you up with flashing light and bed vibration. The clock gives you the options of using all three (sound light and vibration) for narcoleptics like myself, or other silent variations

+1 on the Leight earplugs, they really are the best (and cheap as hell when you buy em in lots of 200).
And if you are worried about getting up with them in, this is the solution. Nobody sleeps through this nightmare including your neighbors, lol.
1 points • ygmatthew13
I got one of those. Worked for a few nights, but eventually my mind got used to it and it doesn’t wake me up.
1 points • xlRadioActivelx
Well for starters this alarm clock is bright and loud af and has a puck to go under your pillow and vibrates to aid in waking you, works pretty well for me.
On the other hand if you really want to make this work, despite the danger and expense, I think the most practical would be to tilt the bed 45 degrees to the side. For a 38” wide twin side bed that means lifting one side 38” which will move it about 11” to the side and that gives us the required stroke, 40”. You gave a force required of 160 lbs, technically it only needs to lift half that to tilt the bed, but with bedding or age that requirement will grow, I’d say 120lbs for the force. This is a fairly strong (aka $$$) piston/linear actuator but on the bright side it doesn’t need to actuate very quickly. A quick look on google shows many 40” linear actuators, and it seems they have force to spare, but they run ~150-200$. And you’ll need a power supply as well. It might be possible to get it done cheaper with pneumatics, but you’ll have to do your own research.
As a final note you mentioned taking melatonin every night, for me personally when I take melatonin I wake up super groggy, you might have an easier time waking up without it, as long as you can fall asleep at a reasonable time.

I had an employee that was struggling to make it to work on the morning due to similar situation. I suggested he find a solution and he found this on Amazon. He never had an issue waking up in the morning. Sonic Boom

This one here. Fair warning though if you have roommates that like to sleep in get ready for them to be pissed off because it's loud.

Kinda YTA but believe me having a natural sleep schedule that doesn't coincide with the rest of the world is more common than adults would like you to think.
I myself tend non-24 hour with a slight preference for nocturnal, and I always have. Used to drive my parents absolutely batshit trying to get me to STAY on a 24 hour diurnal sleep/wake schedule. (I'm in my 30s now and I still can't stay on the same exact sleep/wake schedule even when over the road with my partner, though that's usually closer lol.)
As a suggestion, ask your mother for a Sonic Boom alarm clock (I have this one but there are a few other models). It has both a sound and a vibrate function; the sound function is EXTREMELY loud and piercing, and the vibrate function will jolt you awake (unless you're a heavier sleeper than me, which would sound like medical intervention is needed, because I used to literally sleep through my younger siblings walking on me if I didn't want to get up lol). Also, unless you have a medical reason for why you can't, try taking otc melatonin at around 8:30-9pm so you're (hopefully) getting to sleep at a better hour than midnight.
Hope this helps, and good luck with better sleep and timely waking!

I have a Sonic Boom alarm clock. Looks like they run about 31 bucks here.
It comes with a shaker for your mattress. It will wake you up! It has a red light that will flash. It also has a loud alarm with different settings. There are two different alarm sets...it has the option to switch from alarm 1 to alarm 2 or even both at same time.
I only need the shaker to wake me up.

Here is the loudest alarm clock for sale that I know of. Ive never personally tried this alarm, but I do know that a lot of people who have hearing loss are recommended this alarm.

You can try this. I have this model. It can be set to vibrate only, alarm only, or both. The vibrate also have a few model. Also, it set to go off every 9 min until you manually turn it off.

I find I don't wake up to a lot of the stock alarms these days, because many of them don't even sound like alarms. I'm not gonna wake up to some chimes that sound like a lullaby. Every time I get a new phone the first thing I do is download the cyanalarm.ogg, the default alarm of the old Cyanogenmod. I've also seen it labelled as NuclearLaunch. That alarm will wake the fuck out of you. First time I used it I swear I woke up already on my feet with my heart racing, literally jumped out of bed as an automatic reaction the second it started. If you can sleep through that alarm at full volume, there's something wrong with you.
The other option for extreme cases is something like this
1 points • FightstickRookie
This answer isnt jailbreak related since I dont know of any tweaks that would help without risking blowing out the speakers on the phone but I am a very very heavy sleeper, I sleep through phone alarms even at the highest setting so I actually bought one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Alert-SBB500SS-Extra-Loud-Flashing/dp/B000OOWZUK it makes me hate my life every morning but at least I'm never late lol.
1 points • spitefulk9
I am 110% the same way. For everyone calling it laziness, he may have an undiagnosed sleep disorder and may not be able to help it. I have insomnia and it sucks. I either can't sleep or I can't wake up. My mom has had to send someone to our house before to see if I was okay because my family couldn't get a hold of me and nobody knew where I was. (I was passed out on the couch, late for work.)
After sleeping until I was late for work twice (in a row) I ended up getting this alarm clock. 113db, strobe lights, and a 12 volt "bed shaker" (restaurant table buzzer on steroids). There's no way anyone can sleep through it. Definitely worth trying out!
