of course! However, I'd recommend getting a 1440p 144hz monitor instead, since the 3070 won't be able to handle many AAA titles at 240fps. You could also go with this ultrawide fro scepter. It's 2560x1080 (wide screen) 30 inches and 200hz for just $280. You could use the extra for some rgb's or something.

I love it for the price
I swapped the spectre in for 2 24” TN monitors, so huuuuge color improvement. The 200 hz thing, idk I don’t see it. I run it at 144hz and that seems perfect. I cranked everything to max and the motion looked kinda off on Fallen Order, but it’s fantastic at 144.
Blacks are suuuper deep - kicks the shit out of IPS above it overall.
My complaints would be one, the stand sucks - only tilts up, so it’s either perpendicular to the desk or tilted upwards. My desk / chair means I sit a little lower and I’d like to rake top of monitor closer to me slightly. Nbd but be aware. Complaint two relates to one - the ONLY angle that has any color bleed or weirdness is if you’re below the monitor, ie looking sorta up at it. Then some color / light looks funky.
So I adjusted chair and desk a bit and no prob. This could also be addressed by putting it on a VESA Mount and doing it yourself - includes an adapter, but it’s not super lightweight monitor so keep that in mind if you’re reusing a existing mount / other stand.

We shall see! I'm curious myself since it's half the price I paid for my UW a year ago. Granted mine is LG 34" and an IPS panel, his is the Sceptre 30" 200hz monitor on Amazon

I'm interested to see how much more crisp 2560x1080p is at 30" opposed to 34", and how the VA panel looks compared to my IPS :]

Sceptre 30 Inch Curved Monitor
Here is the link for you! It’s off of amazon. I don’t have much of a point of reference because I’ve only had Apple computers and laptops up until this point but I think it’s amazing so far!

Thanks, It’s fantastic! The acer nitro is a beast of a laptop. With discord/Spotify on my laptop screen, I’ll be running classic WoW on the ultra wide with all maxed settings staying around 120-140 FPS.
I’ll post a link to the monitor below. Just note that it’s currently sold out, the $450 is the sold out/other sellers price. When it’s in stock it’s like $260.
It’s kind of a smaller budget brand but so far the risk has been worth it. Getting a 30 inch ultra wide that goes up to 200hz freesync for 260 bucks was pretty much unheard of before this.

You might be right so I might return it. The reason I got it was because it was a cheap curve, ultra wide. Also the 200 hertz was an extra perk as well.

How would a build like this do on a 1080p Ultrawide? (2560x1080 / 100Mhz+) Like One of These? I trying to find a good, mid-range to replace my laptop, and I mostly run racing sims. So, high and steady frame rates are king.

Did I order the right monitor?
Hey everyone so I just purchase a Spectre 30-inch curved monitor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TXM7K4T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_3CtWFb2F43ZH9) thinking it was 4K because it was “Amazon’s choice for a 4K monitor” but it’s only 1080p. It was a great deal at $280 and initially I was upset because I wanted to hook up my PS5 (whenever I’m able to get one) to a 4K monitor. However after looking at more 4K monitors they all seemed much more than $300 or bad quality with tiny displays. Should I return this and get a 4K or is this a good enough value with 1080p?
Thank you

1080 x 2560
200hz refresh
VA panel
At the upper end of the refresh, you will get smearing but I don't think that will be a concern with your set up. It should be a good match. Edit: formatting issues

I believe this(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TXM7K4T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_x4vyFb46M1Q56) would be a good option. I like sceptre monitors for the great prices and I have had good experiences with their other monitors. They have a couple different ultrawide monitors so it’s worth checking out their other ones

hello. I have this:
I really enjoy gaming on it and I believe for the price it is an excellent value. I play call of duty mostly with a 2070 super. I haven’t noticed ghosting... That said this was part of my first build and it has only been a month. Coming from a PS4 slim on a tv anything is bound to look better. You will need to turn freesync on as it doesn’t come on out of the box. I did see some light bleeding through while watching a old concert videos on youtube but never notice anything during game. Colors look great to me. Hope this helps and good luck!

Sceptre 30-inch gaming monitor
There is the link - $278.
*Not an affiliate link - and I don't have any affiliation with that brand or Amazon.
I saw a good deal that fit that gaming nook I have, took a chance (although it seemed a bit 'cheap' for lack of a better word) and with how it has been the last week or two I would have paid $500 or more knowing that it does what I need it to, and it does it pretty well.
Only drawback - it is not vertically height adjustable on the provided stand. It didn't matter for me because I can control all aspects of my desk and if I wanted to wall mount it - the mounts are there as well. It sits at the right high out of the box for what I currently needed.

I recently got this scepter monitor and it’s pretty darn good, it has 200 hz and since it’s 2560x1080 you can get really high frame rates in every game with budget to mid hardware. I was looking before to get a 1440 display but I got the itch to try ultrawide and I haven’t been disappointed by the performance of the monitor!
Edit: if you want a big ultrawide screen that is above 30 inches I would not recommend 2560x1080 as 30 in seems to be the sweet spot for that resolution.

It’s a Sceptre 30in. I bought it off a whim during a sale. I’ve been pleasantly surprised even though they seemed iffy since being somewhat of a newer company. 10/10 would recommend if you could snag one on sale.

If you want to go for a clean setup i would say get the same 144hz model as a second monitor.
Then again giving that you'd mainly use it for your daily tasks it's not a bad idea to get that 4k for the better picture quality specially for watching videos and movies.
In term if you'll notice a difference between 60hz and 144hz the answer would be yes you will.
Giving that 144hz will refresh its image 144 per second the picture is a lot smoother so as soon as you switch to the 60hz you'd instantly notice it in the cursor movement. Then again i would suggest to try a 60hz monitor before you do any purchase.
Personally I've been thinking of getting this one as a second/replacement monitor. https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-30-inch-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B07TXM7K4T/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=aoc+32+inch+monitor+144hz&qid=1578981352&sprefix=aoc+32&sr=8-6
