SANSI 36W Daylight LED Plant Light Bulb Full Spectrum Ceramic LED Grow Light Blub, E26 Plant Bulb Sunlight White Grow Light for Indoor Garden Farming Greenhouse Grow Walls, UV IR E26
Below are the top discussions from Reddit that mention this Amazon listing.
Patio, Lawn & Garden Gardening & Lawn Care Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics Growing Light Bulbs
- No lampshades needed--- Compared with other grow lights with wider beam divergence which need lampshades, SANSI LED Grow lights produce a directional light that is aimed at the plants to avoid light loss.
- Easy to Install --- Operates like a light bulb with a standard E26 socket with no special lamp-base necessary. Recommended coverage area up to about 4.20 sq. ft. mounted 18”-24” above the plants with varying lighting schedules dependent on the plant(s) being grown.
- Full Spectrum --- Each SANSI LED chip has an evenly distributed spectrum between 400-780nm. Instead of having multiple LED chips with individual colors (white, blue, red, far red), each LED chip has a mix of each color giving off a whitish glow.
- Ceramic LEDs vs. Aluminum LEDs--- Compared with other grow lights (all competitors use aluminum LEDs), ceramic dissipates heat more efficiently than aluminum because it is non-conducive. This allows our LED chips to be mounted directly to ceramic; making each chip free of fans, housing, adhesive, and PC boards. Ceramic modules have fewer parts than conventional LEDs, and therefore conduct less heat and generate more savings.
- What You Get --- 5-year unlimited warranty; 30 days no question asked return policy; 24/7 friendly customer support

Get an architect lamp with a super high lumen. This one has my succulents looking better than they did in full sun.

This is the one I bought: SANSI 36W Daylight LED Plant Light Bulb Full Spectrum Ceramic LED Grow Light Blub, E26 Plant Bulb Sunlight White Grow Light for Indoor Garden Farming Greenhouse Grow Walls, UV IR E26 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BRKG7X1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_YI6TFbD3CCHZR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

For just few plants you can use this https://www.amazon.com/SANSI-Daylight-Spectrum-Sunlight-Greenhouse/dp/B07BRKG7X1
That 36 W will enough for drosera if you put around 12 inch above plants. Closer is better for plants. There are 15 W version, but it'll not enough. Use it with cheap plug in timer, set the light up for 12-16 hours.
Just for information, those are focused type growlight bulb, different with growlight panel. It strong enough just directly below the lights, thus it effective area is just around 1 x 1 ft, while strongest light at center, lesser at edge. It's also have weak canopy penetrations (doesn't matter for drosera though)
I personally don't use it anymore since my plants are mostly large & vining plants with several layers of leaves like mature nepenthes, thus that types grow light are not quite fit.

Oh yeah you'll be fine! They are pretty forgiving once they get established. A little heater to make sure it's over 50F at night in the winter and you're golden. I do fine with a much less awesome setup here in Utah.
They actually don't need a HUGE amount of artificial light. Remember these are tropical rain forest trees and they have to be able to survive pretty well in the understory for a while before they reach maturity, so they're tolerant of lower light levels.
I have 2x E26 bright white LED grow lamps on them, the cycle is about 12/12, and they grow like gangbusters.
These are the lights I use.

I'm using this light from amazon. I have another over a Monstera, and it absolutely lives it! It's never been so full and luscious before. Sometimes windows dont cut it.

I don't think you are going to get the sunlight feel out of tape light..at least not in combination with WIFI RGB capabilities
That being said...SANSI full spectrum LED grow light bulbs are amazing for Seasonal Affect Disorder. I use full spectrum LED's all over my house for my houseplants...and in the winter they really help combat SAD.
My suggestion is go with the tape light that best suits your needs...and get one of these bulbs for that sweet sweet sunlight feel. I keep one of the bulbs in an old cheap floor uplight lamp...and just point it at the ceiling so it feels like the room is full of filtered sunlight

I have two, both from Amazon. This single giant bulb is great if you have a light fixture that you can position overhead:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BRKG7X1/
And this is the one I clamp onto my table, with three stalks each of which is pretty bright:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VN337LF/
The giant bulb is very bright, and delivers much more light than all three of the stalks from the other lamp put together. I used it to keep herbs alive and happy through the winter outside in Seattle, but it's too bright for me to use indoors.

Awesome. Thank you so much for the response. I’m very excited. Thoughts on this with a timer? :

I bought this grow light but I'm not sure what kind of fixture it needs to be in? I got one from Target with an adjustable stand (just a generic stand up lamp), but it recommended against self ballasted LED lights over 15w. Any ideas? I'd like this light to cover a small table I plan on getting... but maybe that's too much for a single light. I know nothing.

I don't know about cheapest, but I've had good success with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07BRKG7X1?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I think they gave lower wattage ones that are cheaper

You're going to love this! Instead of getting one of those $30 "grow lights" lights everyone buys from Amazon, which are nearly worthless, you can pick up a simple shop light or fluorescent fixture from a home improvement store.
Note: this is not sufficient for ALL plants. A simple fluorescent or T5 shop light fixture emits the ideal spectrum for growing leafy greens and green herbs.
If you're only growing a single pot, so that a true bulb is better for your set up, try this. You'll need to keep it close to the plants. But as soon as the herb-growing bug bites you, you're going to want more than one pot. So you may as well have a nice little row of them, and the fixture would allow you to do that.
It's easy to make A DIY tabletop or floor hanger for a grow light. If you need help with that let me know. I grow quite a bit of herbs indoors, without natural light, so glad to help you any time.

I’ve had this monstera for about 10 months, bought him last year in June! It’s in the original 6” nursery pot, will most likely end up repotting it once we are free from shelter in place. Since then it only grew 3 fenestrated leaves, and then all additional new growth (4 more I think) reverted back to all non-fenestrated leaves. ):
I water it once a week til the water drains out, and just started again with a 9-3-6 liquid fertilizer every other week. It’s been under this SANSI grow light for about 2 weeks, about 2’ away from the center of the light. The most recent leaf is the largest in size but no fenestration. What else can I do to promote better growth? I’ve read things about people cutting off the leaves with no fenestrations to “stress” the plant into growing but I don’t necessarily want to kill it.

I personally am using a Sansi 70 watts panel for my terrarium and I am seeing great results. The company also makes some led light bulbs: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BRKG7X1/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_ZOXMEbJ1R5395
Here's a review with a wattage check and par map: https://youtu.be/Bmeb8zqmG9k
Hope that helps!

I just have it in a hanging lamp I bought off Amazon. I don’t have a shade or cover on it - it’s too big and I see no need for right now.

I have used these LED grow lights for years on my carnivores:
They are full spectrum white light so your plants still look normal.

After a good year of trial and error, here's what I found yields successful props for me:
- Propping indoors only with grow lights. I use a total of 6 lights in a small 3x3 cube in my closet that was once used for those old box TVs. The lights are about 6-7" away from the plants. I use a combination of 3 Feit 75w equivalent LED grow lights (home depot) one Sansi 185W equivalent full spectrum LED, and another Sansi 75W equivalent full spectrum LED bulb and one CFL 6500K (blue light) bulb. The Sansi bulbs are expensive, so if you want to try growing indoor with lights, get a mix of CFL bulbs between 5000k - 6500k (green and blue for growth) and 4000k (red for flowering) which are super cheap and great for starting out. I use those metal work light clamp thingies to mount the lights.
- Using a peatmoss x sand mix (some people will tell you to only use cactus mix). I've trialed cuttings with cactus mix versus peatmoss x sand mix, and the peatmoss x sand props always grew faster and fatter. However, once the prop gets bigger, I switch back to cactus mix because the peatmoss does retain way too much moisture for succulents.
- Once the callous has formed and roots are growing, I place the roots lightly under the soil, not too deep in but enough for it to begin rooting in the soil mix.
- About 1 month after I start the propping process with the leaf or cutting, I water them once a week (during warmer seasons). A LOT of people will tell you to not water at all for a few months but I found this didn't work for me. I sprayed them early on, then once the prop continues to grow I water them from the bottom (soak them in a tray) once a week. I will not soak them until they are completely dried out. I think this varies a lot based on the plant and the environment. I live in a desert-y area so I think the succulents prefer the moisture here.
That's all I can think of right now, but I hope this helps :)

It’s something cheap I found on Amazon with a full spectrum high intensity LED inside. I’ll see if I can find the listing.
Edit:
You’ll need a cord too, something like this: Wallniture Pendant Lamp Cord Set with On Off Switch 15 Feet White

I am looking to get some grow lights for about 15 3-4 inch succulents (mostly echeverias and haworthias but I do have a couple cactus and sempervivum and I do plan on slowly expanding my collection along with some prop by the time summer starts) on an old shelf that I have but the inner shelf width is 23 & 3/16 inches. I would've liked to get a t5 2ft led tube bulb but it seems that I would have to place it diagonal in order to fit. The problem with that is that I usually see people use 2 lights per row of shelf.
I was wondering if I could use this Sansi 70W LED Light Panel as my light source for these plants? Or I was thinking of getting 2 Sansi 36W Light Bulbs or 2 Sansi 24W Light Bulbs in a aluminum reflector clamp light. The thing about these Sansi lights is that I am not sure what color temp they are (I've seen claims where they are around 5000K) and I've read that 6500K is the recommended color temp.
Which option do yall think is best? I am leaning more towards the Sansi 70W because it is one less cord to worry about compared to using the 2 bulbs but would it be better to get a single 6500K t5 tube led light due to the color temp?

Hi!
I started with these. They are fine for seedlings and I use them now to supplement my other lights. They have a timer that you have to turn in and it will automatically turn off, but if you’re using a power strip with a timer (like I am) you have to turn it on everyday.

I got this when I realized the first one wouldn’t bring my tomatoes to flowering and I need a stronger light. I got my tomatoes and peppers to produce with this light. It’s $100 though.

These are great. I use them for supplemental light as my veggies are at different stages because I plant in succession. It’s much stronger than #1. I have used it for my peppers too and they loved it.

I just got this one yesterday and according to my free light meter app, it’s off the charts with output. I doubt the meter is accurate but it works well for comparison between my lights. I even check the light coming in through the windows to learn more about how lights compare the sun. Surprise, the sun is bright! :) So far I think this is my favorite. It’s inexpensive, had tons of reviews, and I plugged it into this lamp - https://www.target.com/p/cantilever-floor-lamp-brass-project-62-8482/-/A-50598682
... it looks great and covers all of my plants with a super strong output.

Lastly, these are coming in a few days. I bought a bookshelf that I want to hook these up to on the bottom of each shelf. They also have great reviews. Let me know if you want an update on them when I get them.

BTW, I am growing tons of veggies in my house, but flowering veggies require the most light which is why I mentioned them. I have a bunch of houseplants too. Let me know if you have any questions!
I wish you the best of luck!
