Samsung 870 QVO up to 8TB incoming
Couldn't find anything online about them, but by chance I saw them listed for pre-order on Amazon. Let's hope we'll get 8TB EVOs too!
8TB for August 24: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MZ-77Q8T0B-AM-Internal-Version/dp/B089C3TZL9/
1TB for June 30: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MZ-77Q1T0B-AM-Internal-Version/dp/B089C73T72/

Cheers: one of the only reviews to note the updated MJX controller & the NAND layer count. And, your choice to show benchmarks of only 1 TB drives is a sight for sore eyes. It's fair, clean, and easy to parse.
Likewise, the image restoration benchmark is a great pick. It's still stunning to see: a HDD soundly beating the pants off a premium-priced SSD. Of course, it's just one relatively niche benchmark, but it's rare to see even one SSD, who are usually pure superlatives of HDDs, falter.
It really puts the 80 MB/s write speed into real-world data.
Why Samsung sells a 1 TB version is beyond me. It doesn't seem too different than their TV naming scheme: "Let's change one letter that makes our low-end product eerily similar to a high-end product." EVO -> QVO | OLED -> QLED.
QLC seems like a niche, nearly DOA advancement that's cannibalized by nearly a decade of TLC optimization (from the OG 840 SSD). Samsung's EVO line-up already severely undercuts this drive, as prices have dropped:
Hopefully the 870 PRO / EVO (perhaps with 128L + MKX 'Metis') will be more interesting.

With the 980 Pro coming out at $230, I think there is no choice but for regular sata ssd to drop in price.
The Samsung 870 QVO is $110 with some brands going even cheaper. To be honest, I think we are about there on price. 1TB for sub $100 is pretty digestible.

I also have a crucial mx500 but it’s not relevant since it’s slightly more expensive than Samsung’s more reputable brand.

I suppose something like this could do the trick and even retain the high storage capacity: https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-870-QVO-SATA-MZ-77Q1T0B/dp/B089C73T72/ You could go for lower size if you are on a budget, but don't go under 240 GB. There are many other brands, too. Be advised that you will have to reinstall Windows and apps, so plan in advance and backup accordingly.
The thing with RAM addition is, it won't improve the performance as much as a SSD. It would allow for more open chrome tabs, but 8GB is more the usable as it is.

You can install games on the C drive, bit of a waste if you only install Windows on the 512GB already installed NVMe drive.
Anyway, your laptop only has one m.2 slot, and one 2.5" drive bay,
1x M.2 SSD Combo slot (NVMe PCIe Gen3 / SATA)
1x 2.5" SATA HDD
So get something like a 1TB 2.5" SSD, something like this:

I put this 1 TB SSD into this USB enclosure, but any SSD/enclosure should be good. What's nice is I can move it between my PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5 depending on what room my wife or I want to play in.

I saw this setup on YouTube. https://www.amazon.com/AGPTEK-Enclosure-Docking-Station-Readers/dp/B087F3JFYQ And then you can install a ssd drive in it. Not the cheapest setup, but it gives you a lot of usb, card readers and other stuff. https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-870-QVO-SATA-MZ-77Q1T0B/dp/B089C73T72

If you know what motherboard it is, we can look it up and give better recommendations. Besides that, any SSD that plugs into the SATA slot on the motherboard will be good enough. example: https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Internal-Version-MZ-77Q1T0B-AM/dp/B089C73T72

I got the Samsung SSD 870 QVO 1TB from Amazon for 109.99. And I used their free data migration software to clone my old HDD. After I cloned it, replaced the old drive with it, and rebooted my system, it took about a minute or two for BIOS to recognize the SSD. Not gonna lie though, I panicked a little, because at first my laptop wouldn't even start. So I plugged in the AC adapter and about 30 secs later I got a black screen that said something to the effect of something or other not being recognized and to hit the ENTER key to reboot. I hit ENTER and it rebooted without issue. That first boot took a while, but each subsequent reboot is like 10 times faster now than it was with the original HDD! I also got an external case for my old drive so I can still use it for backups and extra storage as needed. I'm not a tech guy, so it also took me awhile to figure out how to make my laptop make my old drive activate through the USB so that I could format it. A simple click here and there in Microsoft's Disk Management utility and boom! Access to the old drive was granted and available to be formatted! I'm still pretty stoked about it. lol
Links below for everything I got from Amazon:

Sure:
NUC 8: $495m: Intel Core i5 8th Gen i5-8365U 1.60 GHz DDR4 SDRAM - Intel UHD Graphics - IEEE 802.11ac https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DVFP7PG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A29CFOW4UM3L3L&psc=1
32gb DDR4 SDRAM: $115 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134EW44S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
I chose NUC 8 based on superphiz video recommending NUC 8 or newer. NUC 9 and 10 were going for a lot more and since this is gonna be dedicated to staking only I dont want to get any more than necessary.
Samsung 1TB SSD drive: $107 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089C73T72/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Er I would actually disagree with the first redditor's guide, but then again I'm no expert
I think it would be best to upgrade your GPU and RAM first, that will make the largest difference to your gaming experience. GPU will allow you to run games at higher fidelity, and RAM will allow it to run smoothly (and helps with Chrome). 16GB should be enough. A Ryzen 5 3600 gives better performance for sure, but compared to your current CPU, it won't seem as that much of an upgrade. It boils down to how much you are willing to spend.
An SSD will do wonders, like this, once you migrate your OS over. It helps with fast startups and opening files in general.
Answering your previous questions,
R5 3600 is a CPU, here. You may find better deals elsewhere
B450 is a motherboard that the R5 3600 goes on. Like this.
Let us know what is bothering you the most right now, and ur budget haha
