Why buy an open box for $1400 when you can get a new one for $1100? Granted this is a base model vs an older Advanced model, but still.

Are you talking about this one?

If so it's been bouncing back and forth between $1099.99 when it comes in stock randomly from amazon directly. I bought it yesterday and it arrives Saturday. I'm here trying to do some research to make sure I got a good deal lol. I'm going to miss USB C Charging though.

That's not a particularly good price for the Razer as the one you've specified is already two years old. This 2019 model would be a much better buy.

I found the Razer Blade 15 (specs: 1660 Ti, 256 gb SSD, 16 go ram, 144 Hz) at 1099$ US on Amazon.com

I know it's not a Canada deal BUT, when you add all the fees (duties, export, taxes,) it ads up to 1800$ CAD (400-500 off) ! What do you guys think of this deal ?

Thinner than your average gaming laptop and made entirely from a metal alloy the razer blade is a great student laptop if you can find a deal on it. The 1660 Ti model is on sale for $1200 which is a very solid price. You can go with something like the Asus TUF which gives you more bang for you buck as it has a 2060 but those are a bit thicker and run hotter when you game.

If it shows up as $1300 just go to other sellers and pick sold by Amazon. Should be $1100.

I’d recommend any Razor stealth laptop, they are all pretty slim, usually have good gaming capabilities, and don’t look like a big bulky gaming laptop. Just depends on what specs you want

Something like this

There's a Razer Blade 15" 1660ti 256gb 16gb RAM on Amazon, fulfilled by Amazon, for $1099 USD. Add $170 import fees + tax, looks like it comes to ~$1700 after conversion.

It has last gen's CPU, but dang $500 off is pretty good for this thing.

That is the 144hz model. If you are in the US, that model is selling for $1099. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B087LW2KFG/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1&th=1

The problem is it often goes out of stock, so there are delays, but it's a solid purchase if you can get it.

I see. If aesthetics is important for him, I think that he should consider the Razer Blade 15. It has a decent amount of performance and has a very clean aesthetic. It also features an RGB keyboard, which he might like.

Help me with my final decision: ASUS Zenbook 15 (i7-10510U/GTX 1650 Max-Q) Vs. Razer Blade 15 (i7-9750H/GTX 1660 Ti) for work and light gaming (VRChat and video game emualtion)

BUDGET: ~$1,300 USD. (Willing to pay a bit more if it’s worth it).

THE LAPTOPS, SPECS AND PRICES:

  • ASUS ZenBook 15 Laptop, 15.6” UHD 4K NanoEdge Display, Intel Core i7-10510U, GeForce GTX 1650, 16GB, 512GB PCIe SSD, ScreenPad 2.0, Amazon Alexa Compatible, Windows 10, Icicle Silver, UX534FTC-AS77

-Price: $1,199

  • Razer Blade 15 Gaming Laptop: Intel Core i7-9750H 6 Core, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 15.6" FHD 144Hz, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, CNC Aluminum, Chroma RGB Lighting, Thunderbolt 3

-Price: $1,099

The qualities that I’m looking for:

  • WORK: I’m going to be using the laptop mostly for college work and other educational work such as learning languages, and doing amateur digital art.

  • DISPLAY: I want the laptop to be color, vibrant, and have the best display as possible. Ideally for watching movies, video editing and amateur digital art.

  • GAMING: I want the laptop to run VRChat and a few video game emulators (Arcade, N64, PS1, GCN, PS3, Wii) smoothly, medium to high settings.

  • BATTERY: I want it to last at least 5 hours, while web browsing and watching videos. And 1.5 to 3 hours while gaming if possible. (I’m well aware the the Zenbook lasts around 9 hours while web browsing but I don’t know how much it lasts

  • THERMALS: I want it to have decent thermal levels when performing any heavy duty tasks, such as content creation software, and gaming.

  • DURABILITY: Ideally, it would be good if it could last 3.5 years to 5 years.

I’m open to any other laptop recommendations, and other advices. Thank you very much for helping me with my decision!

unless u want the rtx graphics its probably better for the late 2019 rb15 to go on sale again. Its brand new and has the updated core i7 9750h. The downsides are that it has 256 gb ssd instead and a gtx 1660ti. Amazon is regularly putting it on sale for $1099. https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-Gaming-Laptop-Thunderbolt/dp/B087LW2KFG/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=razer+blade&qid=1594058673&sr=8-6

Hey guys

I was planning to buy a G-laptop with mostly gtx 1660ti "Rtx's are expensive af for a 5-10% performance " and my budget is 1000 Euro like \\~1200 $

so i saw a good deal on amazon these days on razer blade with gtx 1660tithis one : [here](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087LW2KFG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1))

when i was watching every reviewers it's good but i saw some drama about razer and internals problems (camera/mics/motherboard burning/swollen battery...etc)

so guys anyone with long term experience like a year or bit less

i was looking befor that razer on MSI GS 65 gtx 1660ti but i saw its so hard to upgrade and runs so hella hot long time gaming like 2-4 hours according to some "reviewers"

also any suggestions are welcome on other laptops "shipping to France " also i study IT so i need some portability u k like 2.2-2.3 KG and less

you can get all those answers and more on youtube reviews. i've watched all of them and it just made me more confused but this deal https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087LW2KFG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 was too good to not buy. The same model costs USD1600 in Razer store (HongKong)

One decent option to consider is a Lenovo Y540. It's not the cleanest aesthetic but it avoids the colorful accents that are on most gaming laptops. The specs would work well for you though with a GTX 1660Ti processor, H-Series i7 processor and a 144Hz display. It's also of moderate weight at 4.85 lbs, but has a short battery lasting around 3 hours.

Another option a bit above your price range is the Eluktronics RP-15 or Razer Blade 15. Both are relatively sleek and powerful with specs comparable to the Y540 (and a few build-quality or battery advantages).

I would recommend the Razer Blade if you want good performance, it is over the budget but right now they are having a sale on amazon that lowers the price down to 1,099$. It uses a 9th gen 6-core core i7 (it uses an h processor, best for gaming performance). The Graphics card it uses is the GTX 1660 TI, so no rtx, it uses 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of Storage. it supports thunderbolt 3 so you can just use an external gpu and make it an rtx beast. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087LW2KFG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MY28EbT1QJA6K?th=1

But if you don't want a razer blade, I would reccomend The Helios Predator 300, one problem with it is the design asthetic, it just screams I'm a gamer even though it dosent use the blac and red, but that's just my opinion. But the main thing is performance. It uses a Intel core i7, a GTX 1660 TI, a 144 hertz panel, 16GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-9750H-Response-PH315-52-710B/dp/B07YM938TP/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=gaming+laptop&qid=1593110430&s=electronics&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExUUpQRlVKVTlTNTJUJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODI3ODM3MTM1QUdLVUQ3SjcxNiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODg0MDc4M0VaNkFYQUQ2TjdERyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Razer Blade 15 i7 9750h and 1660ti, 144hz 7ms response time, 100 percent srgb, for only about 1200, You could probably upgrade the SSD if it's too small for you, milled from one block of aluminum. You could probably change the model to fits your needs more specifically

Aero 15 (2020) Same specs as before, Dave2d recommending this laptop as a good content creation device for gamers, 100% DCI-P3 (more colors than sRGB) 400nits, 144hz screen (can't find response time).

Let me know if it helped!
