Don't buy this, it's only max 15W output from the USB-C port, it doesn't even appear to have power delivery.
This 60W version works with most laptops and has dropped to around this price in the past.

Want to run a Mini off of a battery? Make sure it has PD 3.0
I have several PD capable batteries but none are PD (Power Delivery) 3.0 compatible. I just tested a new battery from Amazon and it's working great! Same PD3.0 requirement goes for any usbc chargers.

I am from the US, and I have a 60W RavPower 20,000 mAh. It cost me $40 USD. https://www.amazon.com/Portable-RAVPower-20000mAh-High-Capacity-Compatible/dp/B082PGS78L
Not sure if the price will translate well w/ pounds.

I use this pack:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082PGS78L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nct6EbGD3GRV2
It works fine and charges at a pretty good speed. Its priced well and also is pretty small relative to the mAh.

Interesting.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082PGS78L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eAxuFbQZFM73S
So would this work? Might upgrade. Don't wanna degrade my battery anymore than I have to.

No actual experience with them though I've looked into them before as I used to travel a lot for work until this year.
I think they fall into 2 categories:
- The big ones that have standard AC adapters along with USB ports on them and can probably handle maybe 2 full laptop charges. Too big and heavy IMHO to carry for occasional use.
- The newer, smaller ones with just USB ports but 45-60w outputs and maybe only 1 laptop charge. These seem to come in the 20-30k mAh versions which are the larger, phone style battery packs. I almost bought this one recently as it could literally charge all of my devices and fits fine in any bag.
1 points • umeshufan
It depends on the laptop but it will probably not work. You will need a powerbank that supports laptop charging, typically means 45+ Watts. This one came out the best in c't magazine's test of laptop compatible powerbanks: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082PGS78L

I have the Samsung Rapid Wireless charging battery pack. Got it on Amazon and its fast. However not 45w
My company hands these out for business trips: https://www.amazon.com/Portable-RAVPower-20000mAh-Delivery-Compatible/dp/B082PGS78L/ref=sr_1_9?crid=BZUN6DN70FH2&keywords=45w+battery+pack&qid=1581962740&sprefix=45w+battery%2Caps%2C202&sr=8-9

Actually I found one already and it's better. 45W and smaller at 20k mAh

Yeah here is the link. I might be have an ID10T error on my end. Do you charge with the standard size or with the micro size outlet on the battery pack?

Assuming that it will accept a 60W charger, the RAVPower 20000mAh is my pick.

Idk from experience. My normal 3 amp 18w charger works pretty fast. Dead to full in close to an hour but I found this on Amazon

I got the following charger. I would say it will replace maybe 50% of my battery. If you are getting 8 hours on light usage this would give you another 4 hours. Remember you cannot bring any battery larger than 100Wh onto a plane in the US so big is not always better.

I honestly would recommend this RavPower Bank 60W charger. I'm planning on getting it for my laptop and maybe get some usage once this disease blows over.

/u/queuebitt If I bought this one with the 60w PD (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082PGS78L) would it power a portable dock setup? I have a USB-C HDMI dongle that works with my Switch, but only if I plug the original Switch adapter up to the dongle to power it all...so I was wondering if this battery would be enough to do the job.
1 points • GrimmGnarly
Yeah. That’s what I suspected, 2.4A per port.
I got this. 60W 3.0PD charger. Charges quickly to 78% while using and holds it there forever.

It saws it charges Macbook Air or ultrabooks and it has 60w PD 3.0. 20V x 3amp. 60w. This is close to the 20w x 3.25amp from the Lenovo charger.

USB C PD battery packs are a great thing, I got this one on sale for $36 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B082PGS78L & gives my 13" a 90% charge from flat and at pretty much the same speed as the 65W wall power adapter. For the 15.6" you'd want to look for one with a bit more capacity & 100W charging.
1 points • cockyjames
Find something that has USB-C and lists PD charging from a reputable brand, Aukey, Anker or RavPower. And I'd shoot for 20,000mah.
For instance this model was listed here on switchdeals for $38 12 days ago.
2 points • n1ck_n4m3
IMO, the best priced / high capacity one right now is this:
This one is 30,000mAh but I've never heard of the brand and the reviews aren't spectacular:
There are some 50,000 mAh capacity ones out there in the $130-150 range, but none of them are USB PD. It looks like the USB PD 50,000mAh ones are about $200 and that seems a little steep imo.

I’m looking at the AUKEY 30000 mAh power bank (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MTD7KRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eotjEbH0WWF0W) and RAV Power bank (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082PGS78L) mainly because of the current discount to charge my switch lite and wanted to get your guys input. Wasn’t sure if the reliability of aukey. If there is a lighter slimmmer version y’all would recommend, Id appreciate any input

You are so much better off getting this one: https://www.amazon.com/Portable-RAVPower-20000mAh-High-Capacity-Compatible/dp/B082PGS78L/
It will charge your SP7 at full speed and actually has a decent capacity.
Oh and it is only $44 right now.

That's my worry as well, opening Vivaldi with a dozen plus suspended tabs takes much longer than my desktop does. Wish there was a newer ThinkPad with a high capacity battery and an RJ45 jack.
I don't have any experience with Linux on my T480 so I can't say for sure how the battery life is. You could buy a USB C PD power bank like this one RavPower 20000mAh 45W USB-C PD or this one RavPower 20000mAh 60W USB-C PD if battery life is an issue. 20000mAh is roughly 72wH so while you won't get as much runtime from it due to losses from charging the internal battery it should be in the same ballpark. Of course you have to carry around another item and recharge it separately, but it isn't too much of a hassle.

battery time for the ol duct tape
get a bluetooth ps 4 controller if youre gonna mostly put it on top of a table, or get some joycons and duct tape. youre gonna need a bluetooth capable pi.

Are you looking for a battery pack or charger that plugs into the wall?
I use these:
Wall Charger: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VLKKRP7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Powerbank: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082PGS78L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you want a single port charger you can get any GaN tech one: https://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-Charging-Delivery-Foldable-Compatible/dp/B07TC53ZYD/ref=pd_bxgy_3/139-1109302-3958546?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07TC53ZYD&pd_rd_r=460a1b8f-40cb-41db-ad5f-9d78d388c86b&pd_rd_w=r52Ab&pd_rd_wg=dIRDt&pf_rd_p=fd08095f-55ff-4a15-9b49-4a1a719225a9&pf_rd_r=E2ZMFNM9XTKQ4M2RXDP9&psc=1&refRID=E2ZMFNM9XTKQ4M2RXDP9

I highly doubt that it will. The Win MAX is HUGE compared to the Win 2. The case is simply too small. I love the idea of this thread, though. Someone posted a carrying case that fits perfectly for the win max. I ordered it myself, and can confirm it fits the win max, cable and wall charger.
https://www.amazon.com/Carrying-Laptop-Sleeve-Inches-A7575-22/dp/B00B7WWHQU
As for a power bank, this has been confirmed to work with the Win Max.

I would suggest you get a battery like this: https://www.amazon.com/Portable-RAVPower-20000mAh-High-Capacity-Compatible/dp/B082PGS78L
and a panel like this
https://www.amazon.com/Rockpals-Foldable-Charger-Portable-Generator/dp/B07FH85FW9/
Charge the battery off the solar panel, charge the laptop off the battery. Trying to charge the laptop directly off a panel/controller will not give you good results. Make sure the battery supports passthrough charging, I didn't check if this one does.

Am I right to assume that the only difference between these two portable RAV power chargers is that one has faster-charging speeds with a smaller capacity while the other has slower charging speeds but a larger capacity?

Really no need to go with a 100W PD charger for the MBP, it ships with a 61W charger. The battery life on the new M1 MBP is crazy good as well so even if you can charge the laptop to 50% you're still gaining 10+ hours of use time.

Also remember that you can get a PD car charger as well to charge up devices on the go. I used to bring my laptop charger with me in my bag but now I just keep the cord and can charge while driving to my next destination.

I have a couple of the Rav Power units for a year + and they work great.

I have one of these and can confirm it will charge the laptop (slowly):
The blade is only willing to draw 30-40 watts from it. My Dell work laptop can pull 60 watts from it no problem. I think the stealth is just really picky about it's USB adapters... you should assume you won't get full rated power from any 3rd party adapter or battery bank. The good news is 30-40 watts is still plenty to charge the laptop and do light tasks like browse the web / watch videos.

I have not tried this one to verify that it works, but it's much more reasonably priced and per the specs it should work just as well as the one I have:

- Fast charges iPhone 8/X/XR/XS/11, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, LG, and Motorola phones
When 10,000mAh isn't enough but 20,000mAh is too much. Charges original model Switch slower than newer models. But still keeps up with charging while playing.
Anker PowerCore Speed 20000 PD & USB-C Wall Charger - $65.99 (34% off)
- Ports: USB-C, USB-A
- Output: 24W USB-C PD
- Capacity: 20,100mAh

- Includes 30W USB-C PD wall charger

- Fast charges iPhone 8/X/XR/XS/11, Samsung Galaxy S8 and newer, Google Pixel; regular charges other phones
- Can power most 12-inch laptops with USB-C, but not the optimal for that use
Second lowest price ever. The package includes power bank, wall charger, and cable. Both power bank and wall charger will charge all model Switch in handheld mode at max rate. Neither will support the dock. Wall charger also recharges power bank at its max rate.
This is one of the few USB-IF certified power banks. It has been certified by the creators of USB-C to follow all USB-C specifications. The wall charger is also certified, though the included cable is an older model which pre-dates certification. This is the same model power bank as the Anker PowerCore 20100 Nintendo Switch Edition. Just without Nintendo branding or backing.
See my review of the power bank for more details.
You can also check out my review of the included wall charger.
RAVPower PD Pioneer 20000 60W - $34.99 (30% off)
- Click $5 off coupon

- Ports: USB-C, USB-A

- Good for 8+ hours of play with original Switch; 12+ hours with new Switch; 11+ hours with Switch Lite
- Fast charges iPhone 8/X/XR/XS/11, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, LG, and Motorola phones
- Will power most 12 to 15-inch laptops with USB-C
On sale nearly every week. A bit overkill for the Switch, but works well if you also have a laptop to power on the go. Of the 60-65W power banks I list it is the cheapest. It also doesn't offer any advance tech beyond basic USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge.
Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD 45W - $101.14 (28% off)
- Ports: USB-C, USB-A x2
- Output: 45W USB-C PD

- Fast charges iPhone 8/X/XR/XS/11, Samsung Galaxy S8 and newer, Google Pixel; regular charges other phones
- Will power most 12 to 14-inch laptops with USB-C
A bit much for just the Switch, though both the power bank and included wall charger can power power the dock if needed. A better option if you also have a 13-inch laptop to also charge on the go.
AUKEY PB-Y24 26800 Universal - $55.99 (30% off)
- Enter promo code PYN3RRGG during checkout
- Ports: USB-C x2, USB-A

- Fast charges iPhone 8/X/XR/XS/11, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, LG, and Motorola phones
- Will power most 12 to 15-inch laptops with USB-C
A beast of a power bank in size/weight, but also in features. Has two USB-C ports and can fast charge two Switches at once. Or your Switch on the USB-C In/Out port and your phone on the other USB-C port or USB-A port.
See my review for more details.

- Charges Switch while you play in handheld or TV mode
- Fast charges iPhone 8/X/XR/XS/11, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, LG, and Motorola phones
- Will power most 12 to 14-inch laptops with USB-C
Uses GaN tech for a small design. Smaller than most laptop chargers with an extra USB-A port bonus.
Total output is limited to 65W. So connecting the USB-A port while using the USB-C port will likely result is a brief power reset. No problem for handheld Switch or laptops, but will interrupt a docked Switch.

FAQ
It is safe to charge the Switch with a third party USB charger or power bank. There have been no reports of good quality, third party power sources damaging a Switch. There have been problems with third party docks. Those issues stemmed from poor (or no) USB Power Delivery protocols on the dock's power transfer chip. As with any accessory do your homework and buy well reviewed and quality products. I have more details available at Safely Charging the Switch.
You do not need a third party wall charger, as the included power adapter does everything you need. But they have their uses:
- Many are smaller and lighter. And fit in a Switch carrying case.
- No digging behind TV.
- Some are a cheaper alternative to Nintendo's charger.
- Support other USB-C devices better than the Switch's charger.

A few things/suggestions :
1) Emergency lighting
Many, many people die during power outages because of fires caused by candles. I would rather advice getting a power bank and an IKEA JANSJO light.
The JANSJO light uses 0.15W. With a 5000mAh power bank, assuming it's the battery rating so 3V, this leads to approx 15Wh of power.
15/0.15 = 100 HOURS of light.
I would get a [fat 20000mAh power bank](https://www.amazon.com/Portable-RAVPower-20000mAh-High-Capacity-Compatible/dp/B082PGS78L/) for prep purposes, and you essentially have unlimited light.
2) Radio
I suggest getting a general purpose radio, not just a weather radio.
Amazon has a few. Do not count on the hand crank to get any useful power. Keep it charged and get a model which can be charged via USB. Similarly, do not count on getting a unit recharged via its internal solar panel, they are too weak.
I know most of them have an internal power bank, but I would also get a separate power bank, because honestly it's difficult to know the quality and true capacity of these.
3) Get a CO alarm
Running a generator next to the house can be dangerous. During high winds it is generally safe, but after the event, fumes/CO can get inside and be dangerous. Having a CO (carbon monoxide) alarm inside the house will provide peace of mind.
If you already have one, make sure it is battery powered. You can't count on an AC powered carbon monoxide alarm to protect you during a power outage, by definition, so you may need an extra battery powered unit to use when the generator is running.
