[Fan] Pccooler 120mm Fan 3-Pack Moonlight Series, PC-3M120 RGB LED - $30.59 ($39.99 - 6 - 10% off coupon)

The $15 hub is the same one I have. I got mine off of Amazon although they look identical (minus the ROG badge). I would agree the connections are a bit loose, but it’s not a concern. I use it in my lian li 011 dynamic with 9 rgb fans. It’s given me zero issues.
If you’re looking for a good budget rgb fan I’d suggestthese. Bitwit on YouTube reviewed them and they preform almost as good as a noctua and are only a bit louder. But still very quiet. I tested them versus noctua and found them only marginally worse. Talking only a few Celsius different.

I have 2 sets of these in my pc. Got my first set in April then another set when I moved to an o11 a month ago. They've been pretty nice so far. I like the minimalist rgb halo that they have. In a few weeks I'll be switching to lian li uni fans though since I was finally able to get some.

What case do you have. I built in an nzxt h510 (non-i) with these fans and an asus mobo that has an argb 5v header. I leave mine on a simple two color transition that contrasts nicely with the white+black case theme. It's nice but nothing crazy and definitely gets the "wow" factor from regular people that see my machine which is fun.

I like the look of those fans too. Looked on Amazon, might be these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5RSF37/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_OJRBFbS7WPE2C

They are the PcCooler fans from amazon. Up top are Phanteks Halos mounted on the stock Arctic 140mm fans.

Honestly I don’t really know any fans to recommend so there may be better options than this.

AH, now I get what you're saying about the 'scanning' effect, jumping from fan to fan rather than all at the same time. I don't have a ton of experience with rgb, but my guess, like you, is that the functionality is through an off-board controller as I don't know of any motherboard with more than 2x 5v headers. Maybe that's why those corsair fans and controllers are so damn expensive as they also have that icue software for fan/rgb control.
Here's a set with a controller that has 10 lighting modes.
It's funny, I started this build with a silver/black/rgb-less design in mind, and now I've got 2 Halo Lux, Trident Z RGB, 2 RGB strips... I'm pretty satisfied with the functionality of the onboard controller thus far, but I can see now why there' a market for these peripheral controllers.

I made it. 3D printed frame with Phanteks Neon strips cut to length. Currently doing a redesign and trying to print out of more heat resistant plastic. If you zoom in you might be able to see it's slightly warped. The 3 fans in question: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5RSF37?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Probably would help if I link the fans. It looks like it comes with a cknttroller:

The fans have been WAY better then I thought they would. I bought the PCCooler Corona fans on Amazon and they have been even better then the Cooler Master MF120R’s on my friends computer that I built for him. The airflow and quality for the price are beyond belief. Would seriously recommend these fans. Buy them here

if you want decently cheap rgb fans then i would recomend 2 of https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J5RSF37/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?tag=awesomenetw07-20&ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have heard good things about the performance also but I could be wrong.

Check out the Corona fans, they are legit, bunch of YouTubers suggested them and they look nice.

Gotcha!
And I’m pretty sure you can use the fan on the H80i as a case fan if you just remove it. I’m not 100% sure if the connector is going to be shorter since it was on an AIO, but it’s worth a shot.
Alternatively, you can grab a kit of fans online for rather cheap just to freshen up your whole build. This one for example, comes with 3 fans and all of the controllers you may need, and it’s rather inexpensive.

I would def say with what you're trying to do, the 3800x would be better. I did a complete overhaul of my system and tomorrow building it. Changed from a r5 1600 to r9 3900x for the same things you're gonna be doing. Also he showcased these fans here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5RSF37/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_rDuLEb7Q24ME8
Look at the different versions of them but I like these and way less pricey haha.

240 will fit fine. Depending on the aio might have to be front facing. I think the motherboard sits a little high on the p400.
Not sure about the rgb fans in there. I'm personally buying these tho. https://www.amazon.com/Pccooler-120mm-Moonlight-PC-3M120-Computer/dp/B07J5RSF37 saw a reddit user with them a couple days ago. They looked super nice.

My son runs these.. they are great fans on the cheap with thin rgb rings that look really nice.

Also a magnetic rgb strip hidden in the top of the case to just shine some light on the components.

I Have PcCooler Fans in my PC. They are GREAT fans. Quiet and cools as good as any other fan on the block. BitWit did a review on These fans which you can find here for those interested
The ones in the post look the same, but different RGB elements

I’ll check those out. Thank you very much. I like Corsair products and I have many. My case is the Corsair D4000 Airflow and my AIO is also Corsair. But I cannot justify the price they charge for fans. I’m on YouTube looking at some fans. I found these so far.

Are these fans compatible with my motherboard and how would I go about connecting them?
This is my first time building a pc so I'm a little uncertain of where to plug in things
1 points • david_hofland
airflow looks a bit tight in the front of that case but depending on your components it might not be a big deal. I think it has a hefty price at $120 USD. maybe at about $60-80 or less would i consider it an ok buy. I'd recommend the H510 or the NR600 as better options and use that extra budget on some rgb fans if you like that aesthetic. another cheaper option would be the focus g which comes in a few different colors

Fair enough. I was going to recommend these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipfb3YZiWkc but it looks like the price has skyrocketed since he posted the video.
edit: Actually they're only expensive in Canada, lol. In the US they're $40 for 3. https://www.amazon.com/Pccooler-120mm-Moonlight-PC-3M120-Computer/dp/B07J5RSF37/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=pc+cooler+moonlight&qid=1584729389&s=electronics&sr=1-3

The case has no fans included, so you'll want to pick some up. https://www.amazon.com/Pccooler-120mm-Moonlight-PC-3M120-Computer/dp/B07J5RSF37/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?keywords=pccooler+starry&qid=1585135999&s=pc&sr=1-1-fkmr0&swrs=206BA5ABA840D3A3F8BFA9F1D918AA1C this 3kit is one I've been looking at for my own rig. They're kind of a generic equivalent to silent wings fans. If you don't want RGB at all then I'd suggest getting 3 of these https://www.amazon.com/quiet-Computer-Operation-Designed-Germany/dp/B07MCHLGC5/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3EF87845J24YH&keywords=be+quiet+case+fans+120mm&qid=1585136187&s=electronics&sprefix=be+quiet+case+fan%2Celectronics%2C169&sr=1-5&swrs=4E678708089CC7C0C8E98C4E643D5DE9

~~For ram, I recommend~~ ~~these~~ ~~or~~ ~~these.~~ ~~Whatever you think looks coolest, and what you find best deals on. What matters the most is the price, looks, and that they're over 3000mhz.~~ Nevermind, your motherboard only supports 2666mhz ram :( You could buy those sticks and it'd still be a lot better due to having 2 sticks, but the speed would be locked to 2666 instead of 3200 thanks to the motherboard.
For a cooler, you could go for any air cooler you like the looks of that's over 40$Or any AIO water cooler you want, not really any idea to link anything
For fans, Can't go wrong with Noctua. They're expensive, but they're simply the best rgb-less fans in the market. If you want rgb fans though I recommend this odd brand. I've seen real good things about them.If you don't like the looks of them, go for anything you like the looks of.
Just double check what fan size you need, either 120 or 140mm
