I'm sorry I got confused. I was referring to the 25mm non chromax, my bad. Here's the link for the chromax 15mm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0813X9G8T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Do keep an eye out on it. It goes back in stock every now and then.

Why those fans over say a 140mm for case fans and airflow?

and why next year, isn't that what these are?

noctua 120x15mm slim fan so plan is basically take out the front fan and the bracket that houses it and replace it with just this while pushing it all the way forward which should free up about 12mm of space. Current GPU is 269mm and there’s about 10mm of space, so we’ll say 278mm would theoretically fit right now. With the extra 12mm that gets to 290mm theoretical to fit, and with founders edition at 285mm that should do it.

Edit: minor edits. There’s also a brown version of the fan but sold out until October. Could try Newegg but I prefer black anyway.

I just realized the my A12x25 is not the real A12x25. Its thinner than the original. May this be the cause of me not getting better temps? A12x25 Slim Fan

probably not. i wasn't able to use a fan grill with the 120x25 on the motherboard side and that's what 2-3mm thick? you don't have to worry about the fan clearance on the psu side though.

these things are probably your best bet though (i'm using them now and they move so much air)

https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-A12x15-PWM-chromax-Black-swap-120x15mm/dp/B0813X9G8T

i'd also get a grill and/or custom psu cables to prevent your psu cables from getting caught in the fan blades

I'm glad to know somebody else shares my pain lmao. You can squeak out an extra 10mm or so with a Noctua low profile, if you don't mind the mismatched look.

I love my H200 case, so, moving beyond it would be a worst case scenario

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Bns4vW

That's what I would change the list to. I dropped your PSU down 300W, because 1300W was so much overkill, gave you a Nocuta air cooler for the CPU in chromax.black form so it doesn't look bad, added a 1440p 144hz monitor, added the Meshify S2 case, and changed your RAM to 2 32GB sticks for the same price so you can expand easier in the future. If you want more case fans you can get the ones I recommend here, the case only comes with 2 and you have a possibility for 9, but all 9 isn't necessary.

If you have any questions or need anything to cost less lmk.

Are the stock cables adequate to connect to the motherboard?

Thanks for the responses!

You might be able to fit a XSPC TX360 (20mm) radiator and Noctua NF-A12x15 under the Phanteks Vertical GPU Kit (from the picture it seems to be a 6-slot bracket though I'm not sure).

It's the 15mm version. The full black A12x25s aren't released yet. I'm looking at Newegg and Amazon, whichever gets it in stock first. They're in stock on Amazon Canada, but they don't ship to the US, and it'll cost more than I want to spend for a forwarding service.

In addition I could change your noctua fans to the following
Noctua NF-F12 PWM 25mm (Made for Rads)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07654PNFQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1Z5H6ZGWCMTNX&psc=1

Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM (Slim to fit above the MB)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0813X9G8T/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1Z5H6ZGWCMTNX&psc=1

Anyone please feel free to correct me if I am wrong since I am working on gathering the parts for a build once my Grey T1 comes in January

~~For ram, I recommend~~ ~~these~~ ~~or~~ ~~these.~~ ~~Whatever you think looks coolest, and what you find best deals on. What matters the most is the price, looks, and that they're over 3000mhz.~~ Nevermind, your motherboard only supports 2666mhz ram :( You could buy those sticks and it'd still be a lot better due to having 2 sticks, but the speed would be locked to 2666 instead of 3200 thanks to the motherboard.

For a cooler, you could go for any air cooler you like the looks of that's over 40$Or any AIO water cooler you want, not really any idea to link anything

For fans, Can't go wrong with Noctua. They're expensive, but they're simply the best rgb-less fans in the market. If you want rgb fans though I recommend this odd brand. I've seen real good things about them.If you don't like the looks of them, go for anything you like the looks of.

Just double check what fan size you need, either 120 or 140mm

I got mostly the same setup as you and I ordered the case in the same opening week as you. (arrives in the first week of January)

I have watched all the videos and followed a lot of posts and so far I do not see any issue with your build.

Out of curiosity, any reason why you ordered corsair H100i over H100i RGB Pro XT? It is $110 right now:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0829RTMKY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, the chromax versions are cheaper than the regular ones. Amazon is not carrying the regular ones anyway.

https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-A12x15-PWM-chromax-Black-swap-120x15mm/dp/B0813X9G8T/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Noctua+NF-A12x15+PWM&qid=1606538876&s=electronics&sr=1-3

SF-750 is hard to get. Just got mine from Amazon a week ago and it was by luck.

I really appreciate it. I was inspired by this thread (H1 Mod). He did a great job but I wanted one seamless piece with more support for removal. I am very pleased with how it turned out, the acrylic matches the tempered front panel. I also wanted the sides to be solid, not cut to encourage airflow from inside the case instead of from the sides of the fans.

Process: Link to:Step by step photos

  • I separated the back panel and reapplied some Double Sided 3M Tape to each side of the back panel.
  • I used a 24x20" Black Acrylic Sheet to cut the spacers. I doubled up all the edges to add additional integrity to the case.
  • Four cuts of 14.5in x 17mm for the height. (2 for each side)
  • Four cuts of 6" x 17mm for the width, and used the scraps to support the two sides.
  • The corner supports were completed by cutting the acrylic half way though, heating up and bending at 90 degree angle. This gave additional support to the two sides.

I then doubled up each side, and evenly applied to 3M tape on each side of the case.

To hold the fans in place I used Velcro Command Strips

I also used a SATA Powered Fan Hub for the extra fans. This is tucked away in the extra SSD slot.

The Fans and the Velcro tape took up the 17mm spacers and are flush with the back of the components. 40mm fans are feeding into this as well. These both should encourage exhaust from the case.

ahh, fingers crossed for not the mobo. I've had a pretty "hands on" build process and I've definitely put more than comfortable pressure on a lot the components. Could def be a fried Mobo. Thanks for the tip!

as for the red dragon i essentially followed this thread

https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/hgw217/modded_my_red_dragon_5700_xt_with_noctua_fans/

But I opted to flip the fans so they blow into the case, instead of exhausting - given my machine isn't stable, i can't 100% recommend it at this point 😂

Did it with these components

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T95C68T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2x https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0813X9G8T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CQU14A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

+ some zip ties

Also note that it will void the warranty on the card
