Trichomes stay clear most of their time and then go to clear and amber near the end. As they become cloudy this is an indication that it’s getting there. The closer to the end of the color cycle it is the more mature the terpene profile and cannabinoids have become.

Some people mistake amber for meaning CBD when CBD is dependent on the type of seeds you’re growing with so disregard anything you hear about that.

Cloudy trichomes are associated with a more mind high and goes to the actual psychoactive aspect of a high. Amber are indicative of a more body type high that you can feel from your head to your feet. It’s the more classic couch lock high.

People, myself included, try to go for a 70/30 cloudy/amber mix or less. Like many things opinions vary. It’s important to not let them go too long as the thc will eventually degrade and trichomes can and will fall off.

That loupe looks like it’s doing a great job. I’d recommend this microscope if you ever want an upgrade it’s what I use for the pics on my profile.

Add that to ur wish list for future too (not sure if that’s the particular brand I have but it looks like it and it’s worked for over a year for me) if u wanna get even deeper and see clearer. Don’t get me wrong, jewelers loupe works just fine but those microscopes get you some pretty amazing images and you can share them on here with one of those too!

It's a life saver, you see it all on your phone and can take snap shots and videos to show off later. It's kind of a pain use holding in your hand so try and use the stand or a mount but its 100% money well spent.

3L Jar filled with some water from local park pond and distilled water.

• Went to pet shop and bought what appear to be a couple of cherry shrimp (1 big one 1 small one)

I usually put down a clean , white piece of paper on a table. Then trim off a sample and place it on the paper and put the camera right on top of it in order to really examine carefully. Holding the camera is nearly impossible to get a steady, focused view.
