I bought it at $17. I'd wait for the price to come back down. I returned the 8BitDo one because it didn't have AB button swapping (without it, ABXY are BAYX due to the Nintendo's layout).
The Pro controller was actually very good (rechargeable by default, USB-C), but I couldn't justify the $70 price tag over XBox/DualShock controllers that constantly drop to sub $30.

Just my opinion, as a fellow PS4 Pro owner who just recently got a switch: I would get the Mayflash Magic-NS. It allows me to use the DualShock 4, which I'm more comfortable with than the Pro controller anyway. A cheaper alternative to the Pro, imo.

I can't recommend this wireless adapter enough. It allows you to use the controller you already have (ps4, Xbox, switch) on any other device, including pc.

Mayflash’s MAGIC-NS would be the best bet that I know of. I’ve only used it with a PS4 controller but they claim it supports PC wired controllers and their product page shows mappings for DirectInput buttons. Still, as I haven’t tried it YMMV.

There’s a few adapters out there. This being one of them..

Buy a mayflash adapter. You'll be able to access the full function of the controller. Rumble, gyro, home button and it fixes the weird latency and incompatibility problems the native "support" has.
They're less than twenty bucks, great investment. They work on a variety of consoles with a variety of controllers.

You have to have some kind of adapter because the Switch only supports Switch controllers. Mayflash Magic-NS is a popular one.

A direct USB won't work too well due to Switch Pro controller being Dinput only. You need a program or device to have it work properly for PC.
Mayflash Magic-NS Wireless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079B5KHWQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use this mayFlash device to connect my Switch Pro controller wirelessly to my PC. It works by making it use Xinput and disguising it as an Xbox controller. Works well with any PC game with controller support. ^^

Why would you go buy another controller? Assuming you've got something USB like a fight stick a MAGIC-NS will do the job or you can get a brook adapter for a tiny bit more. (I'd get the brook adapter.)

Mayflash Magic-NS Wireless adapter. Works amazing and can use PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PSX Classic just to name a few off the top of my head.

If your controller supports Bluetooth (earlier ones do not), you can use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_FzHTEbM0Z88YK

I haven't played this game yet.
You have some options for the split d-pad. You can get a new housing for you joycon with a connected d-pad.
If you already have a stick, check this out:
I haven't used it, but I heard good things about it. I'm probably gonna get one when I get my PS3 stick from my mother's house.

Docked with this thing to make the controller work
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079B5KHWQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
that's probably the problem but don't remember it behaving this bad in other games. I'll try some different stuff out.
1 points • mattpond
You can actually use a PS4 controller pretty easily on the switch with a Mayflash Bluetooth Adapter. This works with most Bluetooth controllers. If you already own a PS4, this could be a lot cheaper than buying a new controller.
1 points • Lorben
Yes, you can connect it using a Mayflash Magic-NS adapter.
It can also connect wirelessly, but only if it's one of the newer bluetooth controllers Xbox One controllers, not the older 2.4ghz controllers. The 2.4ghz versions have to be wired.

> You can’t use joy cons to play on your PS5.
No, but with a dongle, my PS4 controller is perfectly functional on the Switch, right down to the motion controls (And, if I'm reading the description of this item right, it should allow the use of JoyCons on the PS4, and I'd be willing to bet that the motion controls still function in that direction too). Somehow I doubt that the PS5 controller is so different from the PS4 controller that standard functionality is impossible, even if you don't get all the bells and whistles of the DualSense.

You can buy an adapter to make a DS4 work perfectly on a PS3.
https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ
I use this one and no problems. Go ahead and buy a PS3, so many hidden gems and games worth playing through not to mention cheap.
1 points • Wilddog73
I see. Should I just get one of these bluetooth controller adapers?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079B5KHWQ
It seems to register motion controls as well.

Oh man, amazing game! Consider buying this if you'd like to use a different controller with mp3, I know that mp3 didn't support ps4 controllers and that was a huge bummer for me as I really liked mine. This accessory even made the ps button work on the ps4. Might work for other non-ps3 controllers as well maybe. The game was phenomenal btw, when it first came out, I was too young to buy it (or even afford it) so I watched a walkthrough of it and I didn't really understand the story but enjoyed the graphics and gameplay. I played it last year and, now, I enjoyed the graphics, gameplay, and story

You can use something called a magic ns that should do the trick. You won't have motion controls but it will tell your pc it's an Xbox controller.
1 points • HieiTF076
Yes, you can, but personally, I bought that : www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ
Because I already had another arcade stick (8bitdo one).
It even support controllers like 360 ones.

I know this isn't a "real" solution, but I recently picked up a Mayflash MAGIC-NS for about $25 and it's worked flawlessly for me. It makes whatever controller you connect to it (it seriously supports a ton of different types of wireless controllers, including a Switch Pro Controller) act like a direct input or xinput device. If you can't find stability in a direct bluetooth connection, I'd go with this since you can plug it into other stuff too :)
1 points • erickyeagle
Alternatively to the 8bitdo adapter u/casually_enkindle recommend, you can look at the Mayflash Magic-NS adapter. It supports both Bluetooth and USB controllers while the 8bitdo adapter only supports Bluetooth.

Not OP, but here is the version I use and it works great.
I use that one to connect my PS4, Wii U Pro controller, and Wiimotes to my Switch and it works great.

Oh, gotcha. Thanks. There is an adapter (maybe more than one) that I think lets you use PS4 controllers on the Switch: https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ. I haven't used one before though.
Hori also makes a wheel set designed for the Switch too that I was curious about. There isn't a whole lot of racing games on the Switch to use it for

I have been told this works:

I plan on getting it soon. but others have said it works perfectly.

I use a Wii U pro controller and use https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=switch+pro+controller+pc+adapter&qid=1580621281&sprefix=switch+pro+controller+pc&sr=8-2 with no problems in the stand alone version. The game has a really easy controller calibration system

Using this allows you to use pretty much any usb game pad you throw at it. The only controller of mine I was not able to get working on the Neo Geo mini was the Neo Geo X arcade stick. I was able to get other arcade sticks to work though

If you want wireless, I use this with a Xbox one controller and it works. magic-ns

I severely doubt they'll add ps3 functionality but for $20 you can buy this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_wMutEbQK06B77 and get ps3 and Switch functionality from your C40. The audio jack will not work but I can confirm with the newest firmware it supports the C40.

Hey hopefully you found a solution as I was really contemplating buying a $149 brand new ps3 controller until I found something that really saved me sooo much money. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_EZjvEbXCSEXZE I know it says switch but it works perfectly with the ps4 controller on the ps3 if you need a video I'll be more than happy to make one for you

1 points • Brittany_Delirium
Ah sorry for the delay, https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ this thing!
There's a bit of lag if it's too far away, so I just use a usb extender to put the dongle right between my couch cushions lol. Works with the WiiU pro controller too as long as you don't need motion!

Hi everyone. I have a Wii U Pro Controller connected to my Switch via the Mayflash adapter and it's always worked great. My main controller is the Switch Pro Controller, so I was hoping my wife could use the Wii U controller as the secondary local controller when we play together. However, for ACNH, it will recognize the Wii U controller as player 1 and the controller doesn't actually do anything. Once I return to my Switch's home screen, it will change to player 2 and will work again.
Is there a fix for this and is this also an issue with multiple Switch Pro Controllers too?
I would use one of my GameCube controllers, but it's missing a few critical buttons required for ACNH.

MAYFLASH Magic-NS is what I use to hook my ASP to the Switch. Also works for hooking up a Wii Fighting Stick to the ASP.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4mmNFb0HSQBGF Here's the link. Even though PS3 isn't in the title it still is compatible with the console.
1 points • Nummero2
I would buy a cheap one and would then try to connect it with Mayflash-Magic to the switch. I cannot guarantee that this is going to work, I haven't it tested myself
1 points • iiGNiN
Instead of that one, I would recommend the mayflash magic ns adapter. Works really well with my ps3 and dual shock 4. Some other adapters have dropout issues or add more input lag. This one has been working perfectly for about a month for me https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=mayflash+magic-ns&qid=1607093548&s=videogames&sprefix=mayflash+magic&sr=1-3
1 points • Vicious007
depends on what you're using for a PCB. As long as it's compatible with PC, PS4, or Xbox you can just use a Magic NS. You'll need a separate PCB for each joystick.
2 points • jinxted
This one works as well, for $10 less, if you don't intend to use the adapter on a PS4 system. https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ
