It's back in stock (for the moment at the time of this writing) but usually sells out incredibly quick. One of the best 1440p 144hz ips gaming monitors and is gsync compatible certified. I'd definitely try and snag one if I were you. Hardware Unboxed reviewed the 850 which is the same panel and adores it (also mentions the 83A in his best gaming monitors video).
At $379, in my opinion it's the best bang for your buck.

There is a qualitative difference going for 1440 from 1080. It’s easier on the eyes when reading text. This also true to go to 4K.
This is almost a 100 over your budget but this should be what your looking for - mobile so bad at creating links.

You should be able to find many ips good displays at 1440 with low price as long as your not looking for gaming/higher refresh.

This monitor often jumps in and out of stock on Amazon for $380 brand new at this link: https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL83A-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07YGZL8XF/
You can easily sign up for email notifications on camelcamelcamel, or wait until it comes back in stock (which it frequently does): https://camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07YGZL8XF
At $450, the 27GN850 is a better panel, essentially the venerable 27GL850 without the USB hub. Can be bought on BestBuy right now for $450.00
This monitor (which I own) is amazing for the retail value of $380. It's almost identical to the 27GL850 without DCI P3 color support, utilizing 100% sRGB instead.

Consider one of the best bang for your buck, if you're considering a 1440p 144hz IPS panel.

When I got a few months back. It was $370. Looks same price, but definitely isn't in the $500+ range.

TN vs VA vs ISP / monitor help
Can anyone explain the differences between and advantages of each of these panel types? Aside from knowing prices usually go VA < TN < IPS I don't really know much else. I am also looking to purchase a good 1440p monitor to go with my first gaming pc build and so I've listed a couple I've seen recommended if you have an opinion on which is a better choice or if you have another suggestion just let me know down below, thanks!

Some questions on Dual Monitor setup (and other general monitor questions)
My use is primarily is primarily for graphic design/video/motion graphics (which I'm still in the beginnings of my career there, so not even sure what I need on that front), and later some development. Obviously some gaming as well, but I've been just fine at 1080p/60hz on that front, so that's not a major consideration.
I've been using a 1080p 40" TV for just over a year, and was previously primarily on a 1080p 13" laptop for about 8 years before that. The pixel density in itself has not been an issue for me on either. I've only used dual monitors occasionally, at school.
I'm running a Ryzen 2700x and Vega 64.
I'd like to move to a dual monitor setup with at least 1440 on the "main" monitor, but beyond that, I keep getting confused by the options (or lack thereof) and second-guessing myself. I would prefer flat, but can be convinced otherwise. Mostly thinking of the secondary being used for chat/video/browser while working (or playing) on primary, but would definitely be open to running apps across both if something works well there.
So, questions:
What are the opinions on 2k vs 4k for primary monitor? I've never used either for any real amount of time, so don't have a good feel of the difference. Might 2Kx2 be better than 4k+1080?
Physical size: Especially with dual setup, how much does the physical size matching matter? I was recently looking at a 28" 4K monitor in combo with a 25" 1080p, and while I might run the second in portrait, is having the option of equally-sized dual landscape something to think about?
And are the higher refresh rates something I should worry about outside gaming?
Am I overthinking things?
Options I'd been looking at are:
VG280K (28" 4K 60hz IPS) + V257Q (25" 1080p 75hz). Physically match other than size, and both from Costco, which is a really nice selling point for me.
Was looking at 27GL83A-B (27" 2K 144hz IPS) because it keeps getting suggested places, in combo with 27GL63T-B.AUS (27" 1080 144hz IPS), which again would match physically, just not resolution. Some stock issues there, though. :P
Also, was looking at some Dell Ultrasharps a few months ago when Costco had them, but don't remember specific models/specs.
I realize this may be rambling and long, but any pointers/opinions/questions to ask myself would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here it is. If you search on here you'll find a million posts about it lately. It's been going in and out of stock a couple times a day for a while now. The resolution is a nice bump up over 1080p, the colors are very nice, and it works perfectly with Freesync/G-sync.

Running 27" 1440p @ 144hz w/ a RTX 2070 Super?
I'm looking at upgrading my monitor. I currently use an Asus VZ239H-W which is a 23" 1080p 60hz monitor, and I'm looking at getting a 27" monitor. I'm currently torn as to if I should get a 1440p monitor, as I've read 1440p @ 144hz causes games to take a significant hit to their FPS. I currently run a i7-9700k with 16GB RAM and an RTX 2070 Super 8GB. I play a ton of Rainbow 6 Siege and some other single player games (Borderlands 3, MGSV, misc. single player games).
If I want to run Siege at 144hz, should I be looking at a 1080p monitor instead, given the specs above? I don't care so much about how pretty the game is, mainly just about performance. The monitor I was looking at was the LG 27GL83A-B.

I’ve owned the [LG 27GL83A-G] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YGZL8XF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_NU8iFbKR0Z5ZH) since the beginning the of this year. It’s been perfect for me, I’d recommend it.
Great colors and gets decently bright. Response times are good. It’s G-Sync compatible.
IMO it’s greatest weakness is the HDR mode so I never enable it. It’s an IPS display though so it doesn’t really need it.

Ok this is a very interesting upgrade path. I'll consider monitors first. It's not explicitly clear as to what exactly you're disliking about your current monitors. u/psimwork did a great explanation on this, and I do agree that everyone has different preferences. To me, 60hz to 144hz feels like watching 30fps vs 60fps content, being that night and day difference. However it's completely fine for people to notice it less than others.
One contradictory thing you posted however was having the highest refresh rate and having others as well. 240hz is sort of limited to the 1080p market right now, and most of them are TN panels which in my opinion, is just a bad trade off considering that you do both video and picture editing. I think that having a 27" 1440p 144hz IPS monitor would be probably the ideal situation here, since it provides a good resolution at a good size, along with a high refresh rate and a great panel type for color reproduction. Especially considering you're using a few monitors for your monitor arm and you're doing picture related tasks, quality of color and angles should matter.
Though another problem arises in that having 3 of them on your monitor arm would skyrocket the prices of your build significantly. Also considering that covid-19 prevents you from buying multiple of the same items anyways. Regardless, I would suggest something like the LG 27GL83A-B as the most preferable monitor in this current situation for you (It even fits on your VESA mount!). HOWEVER this monitor is very high in demand so don't expect the stocks to last past a week.
Well, that's all I really have to say.

These are the #1 rated 1440p of 2019, when they’re in stock they are $380. They usually come back into stock several times a week, and are incredible for the price. I use them personally.

two of this LG-27GL83A they tend to drop to 340 quite often unless you specifically want ultra wides ?
2 points • iamkurumi
Definitely downgrade to 1440/144Hz instead, since you're coming from a 4K monitor. You won't feel as cramped while still having a high refresh rate. The LG 27GL83A-B is a popular option (when it's actually in stock for $379 or $344 as of recently): https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL83A-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07YGZL8XF

Edit: just kidding

I don’t think there is any monitor currently out that supports HDMI 2.1 yet. But considering your budget covers up to $1,500 I’d like to throw the LG CX 48” OLED. It is bigger than you’d want however it’s and amazing tv that supports HDMI 2.1 and the color production is ridiculous and gorgeous. Makes for an excellent monitor too. I’d recommend checking out Linus Tech Tips video he did on it while using it as a monitor.
I would also like to throw in the [LG 27GL83A] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YGZL8XF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_VrtSFbBAZKYWC). It’s a 1440p 144hz monitor but it does not support HDMI 2.1 but it’s an excellent monitor either way. It has a downscaler which I recently learned about which allows the Xbox and ps5 to render at 4K/60 and scales it down to 1440p. Only thing with this one is that it’s 27 inch. This is the monitor I currently use with my pc and will be using with my ps5 when it arrives.
Anyways good luck in your search for the best monitor.
