I would agree with this! I'm gonna say 4 weeks min. I see some white (even green looking pistols) you need to wait till most those turn orange and I would find it hard to believe that your trichomes are changing right now. Your sugar leaves don't look frosty enough yet.

I am by no means an expert. This is my first ever purchase of a digital microscope but this one was fun to play with with my wife and dog and see the texture of skin, dogs paws and of course cannabis. Pretty neat for $25

It's great for diagnosing scratched records. I've been able to fix skips by finding the skip, rubbing with a magic eraser, and re-checking with the microscope until the skip is sanded down.
Most skips are just a little piece of vinyl on the surface that is blocking the top of the groove. You can sand it down with a magic eraser and still leave plenty of depth for the stylus to ride in.
I feel like a fucking surgeon every time I bring a record back from the dead.

Dunno how anyone can even use those stupid loupe things. Digital microscope is a lot cheaper than you'd think and makes checking trichomes much easier imo.

It’s a pretty awesome tool. Takes pictures and videos and magnifies up to 1000x with led lighting. Definitely a huge improvement moving from an analog jewelers loop to this.

Good investment. Instead of chopping a bud off like some people do. I just put the fabric pot on a table and stack boxes or something up so I can put the microscope on it and it be level with the bud I want. Then wearing a glove I gently hold the bud still to take the pics and rotate the bud ever so slightly when I need to view a different spot. Then rotate the pot to get pics of other buds. You can also do video with this as well.

I was using one of these (there are lots of different types around though). You can use it plugged into your phone so it's a bit easier to see the trichs (can take pics too).

Sure do! As a heads up, you can email the seller and get an upgraded stand that’s a lot better and carrying case for free. It’s a little finicky because it’s hard to hold still while looking at your trichomes, but I found that taking videos and just screenshotting stills is much easier than trying to hold the microscope still and take a picture at the same time.

When you are checking trichomes ignore sugar leaves and only focus on the buds, ideally you want no clear trichomes only milky with 5-10% amber (CBN). The more CBN the more “sleepy” the high will be, I find it most potent with the least amount of amber but some people enjoy up to 50%+ amber. Good luck!

I used a cheap 30$ microscope from amazon. I just got it today and it blows my jewelers loup out of the water. It connects to your phone via USB adapter and let's you take pictures and video while using it. I'll post a link for it incase anybody wants to upgrade! Portable microscope
