the primary purpose to check the green dot and rosette pattern, so anything cheap will do fine. I got this one on Amazon and it works well:

Standard amazon recommended cheapest loop. The 60x lens came apart within a day but I think I put it back together okay. These were all taken with the 30x lens. Some zooming and cropping after each photo helps a lot in getting a clean trichome pic.

Grab a loupe and check your trichomes. You want them all cloudy with maybe 10% amber and minimal clear trichomes.
2 points • Gr33nEyedGuy
If you look at the trichomes on the bud itself with a magnifying glass you'll have a good idea. You want them to be mostly cloudy with some amber. Something like this would work (https://www.amazon.com/JARLINK-Illuminated-Jewelers-Magnifier-Foldable/dp/B078N34WZR/ref=zg_bs_8090802011_1)
Going by the pistils I'd say another few weeks. How many weeks into flower is she? What was the guidance from the supplier?

For best prices, EBAY or TCGPlayer, these also both offer significant buyers protection if you get sold a counterfeit.
- EBAY is my preference for older cards, as i want to see images of the cards before i buy
For price comparison, also check Card Kingdom and Star City Games
- Both tend to be low supply right now for most older cards - but i suspect they will have this specific card, and for competitive prices
- CK is my preference, as they are such an easy buying experience, and have consistently good card grading
- No concerns over counterfeits from these sellers
As for counterfeit verification, buy a loupe, and research something called, "green dot test"
I recommend this loupe for green dot test: https://www.amazon.com/JARLINK-Illuminated-Jewelers-Magnifier-Foldable/dp/B078N34WZR

If you're getting in FP, then a must-have tool is a jeweler's loupe. Here's one on Amazon for 10 USD: https://www.amazon.com/JARLINK-Illuminated-Jewelers-Magnifier-Foldable/dp/B078N34WZR
Goulet also sells them but they're quite expensive and only have 10X magnification which really isn't enough.
Using this tool you can easily check for burrs, tine alignment and all the other things that make your pens write less than perfectly. Most issues can be fixed pretty easily once you've identified them.

I have only seen one fake Volcanic Island fake that was pretty good. I had to actually get the loupe to be sure. The printing gave it away but the card texture was very close. Usually fakes are extremely glossy. You can tell a vintage card is fake in a microsecond just from this. Vintage cards have darker backs and rougher texture.
Fakes of more recent cards are more convincing because the card stock is more similar and the gloss levels closer. But the print quality is just not the same for fakes. The green dot gives it away but also the blurriness of the black lines.
I have one like this:
https://www.amazon.com/JARLINK-Illuminated-Jewelers-Magnifier-Foldable/dp/B078N34WZR/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=loupe+light&qid=1588723875&sr=8-7
Does the job, don't need anything more fancy.
So far it seems to be a consensus that fakes are still not great and easily detectable to the naked eye.

For sure, a 10$ jewelers loops with 40-100x zoom works. Doesn’t have to be fancy. They sell them on amazon.
Check this out to give you an idea of what you’re looking for
When the plant shows 50-70% cloudy she’s near or ready to be chopped. Some folks prefer the amber trics high, but by most accounts this means you’ve missed your window of highest potential thc.
Here is a quick reference guide growweedeasy
Most clear - not ready.
Mostly cloudy with some amber- ideal time to chop.
Mostly amber - a little late
Keep in mind that the trics at the top of the plant mature faster as they’re getting more light. So you’ll want to check all over the plant and make your best judgement on ripeness
I purchased this a few years ago prior to investing in a high quality camera. worked okay, was able to see what I needed to see to make an educated decision on chopping

It isn't too bad. Use a craft style knife, like an xacto knife (https://www.amazon.com/X-Acto-XZ3601-X-ACTO-Knife-Safety/dp/B005KRSWM6/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=xacto+knife&qid=1596124047&sr=8-5 ), and I have a jeweler's loupe I use to check my work (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078N34WZR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
You just go slow and make many small movements...like a tiny sawing motion.

Check the trichomes to know when to harvest (the crystals on the buds). Some people harvest when they all turn cloudy, some when 20% of them turn amber, some more amber etc
There can be different effects depending on when you harvest, will also affect the colour of concentrates if you use it for that.
I use a digital microscope, they're super cheap: https://www.amazon.com/Microscope-Magnification-Endoscope-Compatible-Sunnywoo/dp/B07F7T7SC1/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=digital+microscope&qid=1603200357&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSVgyTEU1WEw3QVBYJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDA1MzM3MkhaSUdPRE1ORDlPUSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTIzMjM2MkVZNFhLWVNRRkdJJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Or a loupe is just a small magnifying glass. Consider getting a set if going this route as there are a few different magnifications, at this point it would equal the digital version in cost. I got mine for like $25 in Canada
