What about a larger light, like the Imalent MS18? It would move much faster relative to a standard 2xAA flashlight. Not saying you could get to Mars with it, but just how much faster would you move?

Be warned that looks like a flood light, which illuminates a large area but doesn't throw the light very far. You want something with more range and power to illuminate those far-away land nav points.

I would spend $1300 of 2 of the world's brightest flashlight 100,000 lumens. When you see them on the balcony go in your room and light them up, do what you want then turn them off.
If you did that I am sure 100% that they would no longer want to sit there and look in your bedroom.
