I've had good luck with this filament. Depending on the size and infill of what you're printing, the quick color change works well.

No supports

Ender 3 pro, with glass bed.

curas default ender 3 settings, the middle of the 3 options I think dynamic .16. Just some tweaks to speed and temp.

10% infill

Took about 30 hours. And one attempt that failed on the first few layers.

That is Silk Rainbow PLA from TTYTA3D. The more you print with it the color gradually changes. Very cool for taller prints.

I use Simplify3D and this just draws and extruded line around the prints to clear the nozzle, it’s not providing any support. These stick very well for me 220/60C using TTY3D rainbow filament. Comes with a nice nozzle cleaner tool and some awesome samples. .16 layer if memory serves, 10S printing on glass mirror obv. Nothing super special just a good model and filament!

Hi all! The filament is TTYT3D True Shine Multi-Color Filament. I printed on a stock E3P with 0.12 mm layer height at 50 mm/s speed. All I did for bed adhesion is wash the glass plate thoroughly with soap and water so to remove any oils at all from fingerprints and the like, level the bed meticulously, and preheat the bed to 60C for a good five minutes before starting the print. I am really new to this but I believe most bed adhesion issues with glass come down to level and cleanliness.

Fast color change Rainbow from TTY3TD <-- Amazon link

This filament has been great but I found that its able to print some colors at 200c but
fail with the darker colors which require 205 so I just set it to 205 for long prints. YMMV

They are accupunture needles

This filament and it came with some

You shouldn't regularly need needles anyway. You can replace nozzles, cold pull or overcome most debris by raising temperature and purging.

I bought it off of Amazon. It's got mixed reviews but I haven't had any problems with it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VJ2RHKF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

What's ironic is I bought it because of another reddit post here where they listed what filament they used for their project.

I releved the bed and laid down a thicker layer of glue and it seemed to be okay tonight. Not sure how the bed gets so out of level.

Using this filament

Not sure if it’s a true “silk”, but gets nice shiny metallic prints using those settings.

Edit for results

I did 20%. If I did it again, I would go higher and do 30-40% with tree supports instead of traditional supports. The extra infill adds a bunch of time, but I think it would be worth it. Switching to tree supports would help offset some of that extra time too.

I like yours better than the one I got:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VJ2RHKF/

This one is actually really shiny, but even though the description claims it's "fast transition", well, it isn't that fast at changing. And the colors are pretty muddied and dark unfortunately. I'll snap a pic tomorrow (the thing I printed with it is at work)

If you like rainbow silk, I'd recommend trying this stuff too:

https://www.amazon.com/Gradient-Rainbow-Multicolored-Printer-Filament/dp/B07VJ2RHKF/

It changes color every 5 meters instead of every 15 meters so you can get faster prints, and less wasteful amounts of infill, but still a full rainbow. It's a win-win-win.

Also, there is an easy fix for the blobs. Set z-seam location to user specified, and set it to the back. You'll get a scar of z-seam all along the back, but it's the back, so who cares, because then the front will look great.

Silk Shiny Fast Color Gradient... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VJ2RHKF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share It is TTY3D silk gradient. I had attempted some smaller prints with it but I needed something that really allowed the color change to be more evident.

TTYT3D Copper metallic PLA

I had never heard of TTYT3D before, but I’ve used the gold, silver and copper PLAs, and they all look great!

Edit: looks like the copper isn’t available in the above link. Amazon must have ran out. This combo pack of silver, copper and gold. it’s $40, but comes with 3 0.5kg rolls. As I say, give it a shot. It’s some of the best PLA I’ve ever used. Like Hatchbox good. I hope your experience is similar.

Silky PLA Extruder Jams/PTFE Clogs

Anyone use the generic Silky PLA off amazon?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VJ2RHKF/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_5V85EbXS35PM3

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JMRNHVS/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_sW85Eb8Y15AZ4

My dual gear extruder just sheds this stuff causing jams in the extruder and clogs in the PTFE tube. Over all just causing bad quality prints. I even turned up the nozzle temp for less resistance but it doesn't help. Anyone else run into this?

XVICO PLA Filaments Multicolor I believe (99%). The spool is not showing the exact brand. It is a little ‘soft’, and make sure to follow the lower recommended temperature. No major complaints; color transition is a bit slow; but all look nice.

Edit*: Different but similar TTYT3D I really dig

Glue sticks?

608 Bearings for projects

m3 head caps screw set, These screws are ubiquitous in any 3d prints that need to be bolted together. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HQ5761L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 alcohol to wipe down your bed?

Brass wire brushes have been indispensable to me to clean the nozzle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T8HWND7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

3d printer nozzle torque wrench I don't know if you need this for your printer, but I sure do use it on mine. On my printer you don't want to over torque your nozzle, as you may cause damage, thing is, every guide says " I do it by feeling", How am I suppose to do it by feeling if I have never felt the required force?

Super thin needles to unclog your nozzle! I bought this filament, it came with a pack of super thin needles, I have used them so many times to clear a clog, cannot understate how useful these are. Or just find the needles and buy them but they are free with this filament and the filament is a fave among my friends. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VJ2RHKF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1
