I plan on upgrading the graphics card next year at some point, so I am getting some future proofish monitors . I am looking for something like the G27Q . Most likely will be looking for two 27inch 144hz 1ms IPS monitors. I want to do 1440p in the future. Most likely will be around 250-300 per monitor. Not SUPER interested in curved monitors so IPS will be the way to go I believe.

How does this 1440p 144hz gigabyte monitor compare in terms of quality/value to the LG one on sale earlier today?

This is the ips flat version of the one you are looking at, hope it's ok that it is $20 more than $300 gigabyte g27q

A Gigabyte G27Q - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CS3X1R9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Awesome display for the value from what I’ve been able to see so far. I’m holding out hope that MS will address the 120hz issue before my return window closes, because it is definitely worth keeping otherwise.

Oh I see. I think the 240Hz is definitely overkill. I haven't bought a monitor since my Dell 2716 which is 1440p/144hz with a pretty decent TN panel, but something like this might be a good option with a favorable price tag:

If you need monitor get this https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Monitor-Response-FreeSync-G27Q-SA/dp/B08CS3X1R9/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=144hz+1440p+monitor+ips&sprefix=144hz+1440p+monitor+i&sr=8-6

9 dollars over, but very worth it.

It seems great so far. I never really had a VA or TN panel to compare it to, so I don't know how much better it is having IPS. I think the build of the Dell was a bit nicer, but this is still pretty sturdy and has the height adjustment I wanted. I'm definitely glad it doesn't have those green lights that the HP has.

IMO I wouldn't spend the money on 1080p, I'd go for 1440p/144hz and it will last you a long time. You can keep an eye out on the /r/buildapc subreddit for deals.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CS3X1R9 Here is an example of a 1440p/144hz IPS monitor under $400.
Keep in mind that freesync now works with nVidia cards (10 series and higher), so it doesn't have to be specifically g-sync to get the benefits. Panel types matter a lot as well, you generally have three types, TN, VA, and IPS. IPS is more expensive, but looks much better than TN. The advantage with TN is that its typically a lot faster response time, so it's really good for FPS games. Ideally if you can go to a best buy or something and see a couple different panel types side by side you should be able to see a big difference.

On refresh times? I aim for lower, because it's one of those things where under a given threshold you can't really detect differences, but above that threshold you're getting visual artifacts like ghosting during high speed changes. This was more of a problem when LED panels were relatively new; the tech's come along since then and just about everything is sub-8ms (in the gaming world), often with plenty of 1ms options.
For your criteria, perhaps Gigabyte's G27Q would fit the bill.
- sub-$300
- 27", flat screen rather than curved
- 1ms refresh
- will do 1440p @ 144Hz
- FreeSync capable (the open source gsync alternative, if you're into that)
- ~25 degrees of tilt (suitable for desktop uses)
- displayport and hdmi interfaces

Monitor . I’m not sure why it’s out of stock on the app I can still buy it at $300 from Amazon themselves

Your best bet is a 1440 144hz monitor imo. Best of both worlds. Better than 1080 and still gets to have the best framerate. I'd go with The new Samsung, or a Gigabyte similar model. If those are too expensive check out /r/buildapcsales for deals on monitors all the time. Just look for 1440p/144hz they post them all the time.

To list a few. Reference reviews for particulars. But this short list should help get you started. Good luck!
If you're willing to dip into the mid 300s take a look at LG. Some of the best panels out there.

Woah woah, the G27Q is an IPS panel. You freaked me out there for a second lol. The Curved version is a VA. https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Monitor-Response-FreeSync-G27Q-SA/dp/B08CS3X1R9 Here is the link if you want the exact monitor I'm talking about. And thanks! Previously I was on a 1080p 60hz monitor so... Now I got fancy things :).
I think I'll stick with my G27Q if thats the case, I heard the color was awesome. Not interested in the KVM feature.

Based on this general list of monitors on Amazon that meets your requirements (Amazon link), I would say that this Gigabyte monitor seems to be the best option (Gigabyte monitor).

For the past 2 years I've been gaming on a 60hz monitor overclocked to 75hz. Soooo now I've decided to upgrade but I'm not sure what to upgrade to. Was looking at this GIGABYTE & was wondering if this would be a good switch from my old monitor. Was reading a few negative reviews about ghosting/input lag etc.. but would I really notice all that since i've been on 60hz for so long? Budget is around $300 so any suggestions for different monitors would also be nice! Thanks!(on mobile sorry for the bad layout)

I'm looking to get either the GIGABYTE G27QC 27 or the Gigabyte G27Q, as they are both 27-inch, 1440p, 144hrtz refresh rate monitors. However, I am stuck deciding if it is worth to give up the curved aspect of the G27QC ( With a VA panel ) for the IPS, flat panel of the G27Q.
I am going to be using this monitor for productivity and moderate gaming, and will be using it in a single monitor setup.
Which monitor would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

I’ve done some research and have narrowed my search to these at the moment. Don’t think I’d be a fan of a curved screen, which does take away some good options.
Anyone have any insight to these 4? I’m probably going with the Asus or BenQ, but will I really notice much difference from the cheaper LG or Gigabyte options?
