Since it's an rtx 2060, an expensive monitor would be overkill.

This is a 1080p 144hz monitor.

Here's an Asus monitor. This model is 23.8 inches but you won't notice the difference. I have this same model and highly recommend it.

Same one as me! It's also the exact same monitor as their gaming lineup (https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178) But $100 dollars cheaper because no gaming stand or 'gaming' label tax.

NTA. Im going to assume you have slightly more than 1000 usd so here is a link to some really good PCs that are under 800 usd. There are some monitors that are 240 usd that are pretty good too. Then you cant get a cheap mouse and keyboard. There, you just spent like 1100 usd on a decent pc that is really good for the price. Enjoy?

List for the pc: https://www.wepc.com/reviews/best-prebuilt-gaming-pc-under-800/

Monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=144hz+monitor&qid=1588964531&sprefix=144hz+mo&sr=8-7

The keyboard and mouse are easy enough so yeah. Hope this helped?

Looking to get a second monitor to pair with the Asus VG249Q and I am looking at both these monitors and can't tell the major difference between them as what will make a better choice the AOC 24E1Q and AOC 24V2Q

I currently have an asus vg248qe and am looking to upgrade to dual monitor / ips. I want a 144hz minimum 1080p ips monitor for competitive gaming and a 1440p monitor for productivity and occasional triple A. For the 1440p I am looking at:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Monitor-275E1S-Freesync-Displayport/dp/B07TV2J72X

I am buying in the netherlands and its 180 euros, 23.8 inch version is 150. For 1080p I am looking at:

https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=asus+tuf+gaming+1080p&qid=1595607734&sr=8-3

I will use a dual arm to set it up, but I am wondering if this is a good combination. Should I go for the philips one with 27 inch or 23.8? Would this in general work well together? Thanks in advance!

Looking at a different monitor and I’d like your input. A 1440p at 75hz with 4ms response time The 1440P in question.

or this 24 inch 1080p monitor with 1ms response time and 144hz

I read decent reviews about the new Asus TUF VG249Q and it's not extremely expensive, plus there is Acer Nitro VG240YPbiip which should have same price and same panel as the AOC 24g2u. There are some reviews about these two monitors here on this sub, I guess you can give them a read. :)

Not sure about the USB-C dock but my monitor is connected using a USB-C to display port cable

https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-DisplayPort-USB-C-Supporting/dp/B01J6DT070/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=usb-c+to+displayport+cable&qid=1601380468&sprefix=usb-c+to+display&sr=8-3

I’m running a 23.8” 144hz Asus Tuf VG249Q monitor and i get the full 144hz connected this way

https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=asus+vg249q+23.8+inch+monitor&qid=1601380366&sprefix=asus+vf249q&sr=8-1

I haven’t tried running the monitor using a regular HDMi cable though so I can’t confirm whether I can also run it at 144hz via HDMI

You just blew my mind! I never even considered something like ppi. You are what I love about Reddit. People who are passionate about a subject who are willing to answer the questions of plebs like me.

Is there a reason you went with the Viewsonic other than the price? This seems to meet your specifications and is well reviewed: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FF6DJNP

I've had experience with Asus and this one also appears to meet your specs:. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0829S7178

Would you consider those to be candidates as well?

Are you looking for any specific features outside the stated refresh rate/resolution/size? I narrowed my search for a 144Hz, 1080p monitor by deciding I wanted one that could rotate to portrait mode. Went with this one https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178 and I've only been using it for a couple days but really enjoying it so far.

Most people will recommend AOC monitors in this price range because they have good IPS panels, but there are so many options that it can be overwhelming.

Definitely get a 144Hz at for a little bit more:

trying to find a nice budget monitor for 200-250$

I've been looking left and right, up and down for a new monitor and getting a bit loopy.

pref. better than the one I have: https://www.cnet.com/products/benq-g2420hdbe-lcd-monitor-24/

24" would be nice with at least a 75hz. don't know if I should go for a cheap 144hz now since I'm planning to buy a better one in about a year or so. just need a new that I can game a bit on and I will use the old as a second monitor.

got a i7-9700k and RTX 2080 if that info is needed

EDIT:

would this be a good one?

https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178?th=1

it's one offer where I'm from for about 200$ now

BenQ GW2480

If you're really set on saving money. $150

AOC 27G2

Good monitor that's a little future proof. Would rather get the 24" model but it's not in stock. $210

Asus TUF VG249Q

If you want a balanced monitor that costs a little more but still considered cheap and future proof. $250

Two popular monitor with similar specs are the Aoc 24g2 and asus VP249QGR but these monitors go out of stock frequently so you'll have to be quick to buy

The Asus vg249q one is in stock but it's on the higher end of your budget

Edit: just noticed someone already showed you this monitor I feel dumb now

Not in any particular order but just to name a few that are rated well(not necessarily the cheapest):

MSI mag273r: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087YF1JNB?tag=rtings-mn-r-20&ie=UTF8

LG 27GN600-B or 27GN650-B can be found on sale for \~$250 (not currently) : https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL650F-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07R7636MH/ref=as_li_ss_tl?crid=1PNKDE249JMKL&dchild=1&keywords=lg+27gl650f-b&qid=1596791022&sprefix=lg+27gl650,aps,155&sr=8-1&linkCode=ll1&tag=rlncg40d-20&linkId=020c76b215f0363adb090c050f0618dc&language=en_US

ASUS VG279q (27inch) or this 24 inch vg249q:https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-VG249Q-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B0829S7178/ref=sr_1_1?crid=E4Z01MBPOJ8K&dchild=1&keywords=vg249q&qid=1607656395&s=electronics&sprefix=vg24%2Celectronics%2C216&sr=1-1

I've seen these recommended a lot but for a 1080p 144hz gaming monitor you usually end up paying around 250ish (+/-$50) on average I believe. I wouldn't pay above 300 ever because, at that point, you're super close to 1440p territory.

I'm an Asus fan, so don't have any experience of other brands - but THIS one looks very stylish and has AMD free sync -

Two Asus ones maybe worth looking at -
