Bud your Motherboard won't fit in that case - it's a full ATX board, and your case is a MICRO-ATX (MATX). You need one this size. (I'm not suggesting this particular board, just using it as am example of size)
Also did you mean to have two RAM selections in that list? If not, just get the 2X4GB kit to take advantage of dual channel. If you DID mean to have 2 selections, don't do that - it's best to keep them all the same.

Yeah, not at all, and yeah I did I just asked because I was like huh maybe they're from Canada that they're getting charged that price.
Definitely sane, to clarify is it a 3600 non-x, x, or xt? Regardless your getting overcharged, and even if they did counter with a "good" deal the x570 is simply not going to be worth your money, especially if your not convinced by the seller.
I imagine stock is a bit different by location but Amazon gives the restock date for shipping out 3600 non-x as Nov 7 @ \~$200, the XT is $240, which isn't awful, but it's prob not gonna give a $40 worth of extra performance. Still, if your going to use it for a bit not bad at all and it's in stock rn. I'd eventually recommend a aftermarket cooler to prevent throttling, thermals, and noise down; a Hyper 212 is a perfectly fine cooler @ $40 afaik, I'd preferably go with the NH-U12S but both are fine. It might not even be worth the Noctua tbh unless your trying to pimp it out or could see yourself using it for a while through future upgrades, etc as i believe Noctua tends to sell new socket kits separately for a fair price.
A b450 like this Gigabyte should serve you well, it's $10 more than the barebones ASRocks and imo Gigabyte boards are pretty good, will depend on if you want wifi, etc. and if your willing to use a separate card, just picked something well priced and decent.
That'd run you $240 + $85 = $325 + tax and you could prob still get the noctua cooler ($60-70) and a better mobo for <=$450ish post tax.
yeah reading that bother me and just happened to stumble here, so glad I could hopefully help!

Is this mobo compatible with a Ryzen 5 3600? Gigabyte B450 MOBO

I would get that one, and then a Cooler Master N200, or Fractal Design Core 1100, for a case. With that, you can add more stuff over time, and likely get Zen 3 support, in a month or two, if you wanted to upgrade it substantially, later on.

The very best? I don't know, for me I would just check the vrm list and the best vrm for the money would do it for me. This is in the same price range. Theres a b550 wifi motherboard for 99 just a little lower down the sub. I'd say choose based on features you want, stuff like built in WiFi, or USB C, number of usb slots, m.2 slots. Choose based on what you NEED, but I'd still say go by VRMs, otherwise a motherboard is a motherboard.

GIGABYTE B450 AORUS M (AMD Ryzen AM4/Micro ATX/M.2 Thermal Guard/HDMI/DVI/USB 3.1 Gen 2/DDR4/Motherboard) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FWY246F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KwGpFbBFK5MGW It should be compatible with that cpu out of the box too! I thought I wanted to stick with intel too the cost was honestly about the same for either, but the ryzen came with a half decent cooler.
1 points • aminy23
The B450 Tomohawk is not in itself a bad motherboard, but it's a poor value and a very bad choice for someone on such a tight budget.
People tend to arbitrarily praise it, but compared to any other B450 motherboard it's really not that good. It has a 4+2 stage VRM, 4 RAM slots, Realtek 890 series audio (887-892), and Realtek 8111 Gigabit Ethernet. The $70 Gigabyte DS3H has all those features well. The main difference is shape and color.
Now the "MAX" boards are newer, because MSI was the only manufacturer that wasn't able to fully support B450 on their old boards. Newer B450 motherboards support the Ryzen 3600 out the box, older inventory needs a BIOS update. If a motherboard is out of stock, and the seller makes it clear that new stock is arriving, let's say the Gigabyte B450 Aorus M, since it'll be in stock June 8th, it's new inventory and will support the Ryzen 3600 out the box. It's also more likely to support upcoming budget options like the $110 Ryzen 3100.
For motherboards in the $110-$130 price point, you can get boards that have better audio and ethernet than the Tomahawk.

Great, my first build 3 months ago with a 2070 Super, I feel kinda sad now. Is now a good time to get rid of my Super. I can wait to buy the 3070 no problem. I am happy with my 2070 but wow that 3070 looks like a beast. I assume I would have to get a new MOBO, since I have a Gigabyte B450

My PC is using a B450 and a 3100 with a RX 570 4gb. I can do 60 FPS in 1080 for even heavy games like tarkov so I highly recommend the 3100 or the 3300x. I do have a GPU bottleneck obviously because while the RX 570 is great it isn’t a 2080ti lol. And if you’re worried about getting a non updated B450 motherboard you can go to AMDs website and ask for them to ship you a boot kit. It’s basically a low end CPU that you can use to boot and update the motherboard for free. They even pay for the shipping to and from their warehouse. All you need to qualify for th boot kit is proof that you have a B450 and proof you have a Ryzen 3 3100 or 3300x (or any other 3rd gen chip)
Edit: Make sure they you also double check with the motherboard company that it will support Ryzen 3rd gen chips. I will put a link to the motherboard I use for my current build as I can already confirm it support Ryzen 3rd gen chips. Gigabyte B450 Aorus Motherboard

You can get a mobo and 16gb of 3200mhz CL16 for around $150.

^ This ram is Samsung B-die (the best) and it's only $60 for 16gb (8x8gb) 3200mhz CL16. I had a hard time believing it was B-die until I bought it myself and checked. Usually it's a lot more money to get Samsung made RAM
I can't seem to find the b350 PC mate but it was like $70 when I got it. I guess it's getting too old and not used anymore. Here's a b450 for $94, bringing your total to $155 before taxes
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FWY246F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_huAnFb8N1G4SF
With the $175 3600 CPU and $240 1660 super GPU you're looking at about $570 for everything needed to upgrade. Hopefully that number is less than you were imagining!

I bought a Ryzen 3700x with a gibibyte 450 aurus (linked below). The mobo is now 3rd gene Ryzen compatible even though it doesn't say so in the description. Will I have problems OCing my CPU with this Mobo? I am not sure what specs to look at, I just know it's a budget mobo with a pretty decent CPU. Thanks in advance!

Does anybody recommend one of these motherboards over the other?
They seem really similar to me, but is there anything I’m missing that might make the aorus worth the 8 extra bucks?

Hey folks, I recently upgraded my rig with a Ryzen 7 and two Corsair Vengeance ram sticks. I recently had a problem with my rig and discovered that the ram might not be working properly. I think one of the sticks burnt out, since I'm only getting 8GB of available ram. To top it off, a lot of the top reviews keep saying things like "faulty ram" and so on. Does anyone have a suggestion of good ram I could get as a replacement? my mobo is the Gigabyte B450 Auros M in case that helps.

Got a Gigabyte B450m board and I'm taking a newly discovered bad RAM stick as an opportunity to upgrade a few things. Pretty sure everything's compatible, but I'm hoping someone can double-check my work here -
I'm snagging these G-Skill 32gb ddr4 3200 sticks, and a 3800x. Any incompatibilities/inefficiencies?

Well, I'm definitely gonna upgrade in the future to probably the 4000s or better. A couple of boards that I have been looking at are already ranging at about \~$100 so it won't really hurt just to wait for a month. Here is two that I was gonna get until I realized the B550 was coming out: B450M PRO-VDH Max & Gigabyte B450 AORUS M

So, i've found 2 decent Motherboards, both optimized for gaming. It all comes down to money, and which one will do me the better in the long-run. Here are the options. They are both B-450 Motherboards.
ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard (ATX) AMD Ryzen 2 AM4 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 B450 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FKTZC4M/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?smid=A15YBCJT4UFKRS&psc=1

Thank you so much, do you know if this mother board works out of the box, and is it "future proof" or should I go with the ROG Strix
1 points • Wise_Limit_6203
It's true that it will work but you will not have a good experience. If I were you i would look for a new motherboard and CPU, because you wont be able to even play at 1080p with that CPU.
Here's some links: A Good Motherboard
And A CPU: CPU
and you'll also need new RAM: RAM
All this is about 360 Bucks
If you get these or something around the performance of these parts then you can upgrade. But if you go with the 2060 with that CPU you'll be wasting your money
1 points • PracDaske
I'm looking for the cheapest b450 board (which I will upgrade later gor a B550 A-Pro or similar) to run a R5 3600 on it. I'll not be ocing just let it boost as far as the board allows.
I narrowed this 3 options:
My main concern is VRM quality and Ram support. I had some issues trying to achieve 3000Mhz before with Corsairs LPX (widely sold on Amazon) on a B450 Tomahawk.
1 points • seancookie101
The reason for the compatibility warning is that B450 boards need a bios update when using a Ryzen 3000 chip. But now, B450 boards almost always come with the bios updated.
I'm looking at the customer reviews for that specific board and some people are saying its not updated. Here are some alternatives that will for sure work.
GIGABYTE B450 DS3H this one has only two fan headers.

Looks like 4th gen ryzen isn't out yet? I've found the Ryzen 5 and the Ryzen 7 which are kinda in my budget. Also looks like there are a lot of b450 motherboards out there... Would this one or this one work with the new proposed Ryzen CPU and the RTX 3080? I'm sorry for all the questions, didn't expect to be building a whole new PC here, just swapping parts... Would have to get new DDR4 RAM as well with the b450, which I'm sure I can find on my own.

You are going to have to get a different motherboard because the case will only MICRO ATX and MINI-ITX motherboards. I suggest this motherboard. https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B450-AORUS-Thermal-Motherboard/dp/B07FWY246F/ref=psdc_1048424_t2_B07PV9HGK4?th=1

Right now we're at around 570-575. You're even left with money to buy a keyboard/mouse combo and a basic monitor if you don't have those (a TV can act as your monitor) and even maybe a controller depending what models of each of those you want to buy. That enough evidence for Mr. Brain. You have so many arguments against me you'll rebuke even the most basic assumptions made by me until I provide links yet you provide absolutely no proof of anything you say and even go so far as making statements that are completely oblivious once again to basic economics. Please tell me why, economically, for the survival of the company and for its sales revenues, it would make sense to revive a license ten years after if there's no interest.
Why even bring in Banjo and Kazooie in Smash if there's no interest. You understand hype, marketing and that kind of thing right ? Seems to me you don't. So now unless you have any reasonable explanation backed by logical and sensible statements and even links or at least based on common knowledge about any of the field we're talking about, I will not be discussing this issue further with you. If not, you'll give me one more good laugh, me the "oh-so-triggered" one

This is the build i am planning. I know it’s not too great but I can’t spend more than 1200 right now for the entire setup.
Any thing that sticks out or can be upgraded and still be in budget.
The build is for some gaming and streaming cod, fifa ,pubg etc but mostly for home office ( autocad, 30 +browser tabs ,photoshop, heavy excel use etc)
PS: I don’t care about rbg
1 points • CuriousPCBuilder
From what you're saying your PC should already work fine for you but there's room for improvements, easily. You can keep the processor, the RAM if it's at least 3000MHz, the GPU, the SSD and the HDD. What I'd change in order to have a nicer build would be the motherboard by getting a nice new one, a new good power supply and a nice new case; if there's anything to upgrade I'd start with the GPU by getting a 1660 Super, later on down the line maybe upgrade the CPU to a newer Ryzen processor and by getting a B450 board there won't be the need to change the board while upgrading the CPU.
You could get a motherboard like this one which is a nice one: https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B450-AORUS-Thermal-Motherboard/dp/B07FWY246F/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=B450M&qid=1600040665&sr=8-6
And get a nice PSU, I'd suggest this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/EVGA-BR-Series-500W-80-Bronze-Power-Supply/868721783 this is a very nice one as it's from a reliable brand, 80+ Bronze certified, nice all-black cables to look nice in a new case with a clear side-panel and it has a really good price.
As for the case I'd suggest this one: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811553052?Description=Cougar%20mg130&cm_re=Cougar_mg130-_-11-553-052-_-Product&quicklink=true this is a nice budget Micro ATX case with a glass side-panel, a PSU shroud and a great price.
If you want to upgrade the GPU, which I don't think would be necessary as your card is still a nice one, an older one yes and won't be able to compete with cards that are 200$ or more but still it's a good card, you can go with a GTX 1660 Super and if you do the EVGA SC ULTRA is the best for the price: https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-gtx-1660-super-06g-p4-1068-kr/p/N82E16814487479?Description=1660%20super&cm_re=1660_super-_-14-487-479-_-Product&quicklink=true
You could also upgrade the cooler for the CPU with something new and that looks nice while performing better than the one you have now, I'd get this one for example: https://www.amazon.com/ID-COOLING-SE-224-XT-Cooler-Heatpipes-Cooling/dp/B0874512QH/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=CPU+Cooler+AM4&qid=1600041343&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExV0tHMUZGUDVIU1NQJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTY4MjE2SFRSTTBIN1VGTlEyJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxMzU4MzFST1NFUEZZTDhUM00md2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
Hope this helps in any way :)
