It's probably not strong enough. A lot of grow lights are crap. The ge par38 has been working really well for my succulents https://www.amazon.com/GE-Lighting-93101232-Balanced-Spectrum/dp/B07NNT3G7J/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ge+par38&qid=1604841991&sr=8-3

Ahh, I’ve gotten decent yields from a good old fashioned set of GE bulbs

A plain white LED around 25-30 W (actual draw, not equivalent to incandescent) should be pretty cheap and should produce enough light for around a 1x1' growing area. You'd want to position it around 8-12" above your growing tray. That should also keep your tray pretty warm. Pretty much any temperature above 20 and below 35 C should be fine.
Something like this should do: https://www.amazon.com/GE-Lighting-93101232-Balanced-Spectrum/dp/B07NNT3G7J

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply! Floor lamp is from article paired with a GE grow bulb

Oh I dont have high expectations at all, the only reason im growing it is because its the first bag seed that germinated for me. This is more of a /r/nanogrowery experiment in a large moving box. My plant saw almost no sunlight for a week straight during its first month alive, and then I transplanted it too early and severed one of its roots, its been abused hard. Im just surprised its still trucking on, I wanna see how well it can do.
This is the bulb im thinking of getting https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NNT3G7J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xoIgEbGAMPW15

What’s your budget for a light? I have been having good luck with these as budget lights that are readily accessible at some big box stores. I purchased 2 of these "GE Lighting PAR38 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light for Indoor Plants - 32W" grow bulbs. One is lighting the garden, and I'm showing the other bulb.
I've only had it for 4 days, so I cannot report on it's longevity (if anyone has any experience here please chime in), but I'm impressed so far. It seems well built, and VERY bright.
Plenty enough for a small garden in the corner.
The bulb itself runs fairly cool (for a light bulb).. the sides and the fins stay cool enough that you wont burn yourself if you brush up against them, but the lens is hot enough to start fires, so make sure you have a sturdy place to hang this, since it has a ceramic heat sink it is fairly heavy (\~0.5lb). It is recommend that you hang it vertically in a non enclosed fixture for proper cooling.
The bottom mark on the tape measure is even with the seedling level at 2ft (24 inches) the top mark is at light level.
Like I said in the video, I think this light has the power to cover about 16 x 16 in square in "sunshine power" light. The bulb has a 3 yr warranty, and is UL listed.

For a small space, I recommend this one. It’s a GE bulb and it is #bright.
1 points • SuperAngryGuy
I just wrote a long rant about not taking the cover off. I'm not now going to recommend a light that you take the cover off because that would be hypocritical of me.
This is a nice light that is more efficient than LED bulbs and very safe.

I use that light! I've found that it's enough to sustain my plants that don't really get much natural light. After a few months of using that bulb, my plants were relatively healthy but maybe not fully thriving. I upgraded to their much higher powered light a couple weeks ago and my plants are reacting very positively.
This is the one I use now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NNT3G7J/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_AwwFEbPF0K8VZ
I'd say that if your plants get a half decent amount of natural light, your current grow light should be fine. But if they get little/none, maybe see how they do for a few weeks and reassess!
It's been recently knocked down to a great price in my opinion too! Hope this helps :)

I've sold a couple of these at work. They're not blurple so you can be in the same room with them.

I bought a GE LED PAR-38 balanced-spectrum (greens and seeds) white grow light from Amazon, and it's been fantastic. It's not the horrible retina-melting pink of grow bulbs past, rather it just seems like any other household light (I mean, other than the fact that it's HUGE. Like HUGE huge, not just lol hyperbole huge). It's energy-efficient as hell, too. I hooked it up to a pendant plug, and then clamped that sucker to a heavy, out-of-commission antique floor lamp base/pole/doohickey. I can point it wherever needed, and my plants have been living for it - literally.
The bulb uses just 32 watts and doesn't put out a lot of heat, which I like a lot. I paid $13.24 for it in May, but currently it looks like it might be out of stock directly from Amazon, though, at the moment. Their info: "GE Grow Light LED with Balanced Light Spectrum for Seeds and Greens is designed to fit your plant's growth stage. GE's Grow Light uses a balanced spectrum with a red: blue ratio inspired by best practices of professional growers. The balanced spectrum allows not only chlorophyll but also other plant pigments to optimize their light harvesting. Compared to typical purple grow lights, the light features high PPF or Photosynthetic Photon Flux to provide more light for photosynthesis and growth. The white light appears more natural to the human eye"

I have this bulb
My plants have been responding to it really well so it was worth the price. It's very bright so 1 is enough. I have new growth on 2 week old plants like my Hoya and my Birkin's leaves are all reaching for it. I moved my high light plants to the area the bulb is in :)

Huh, didn't know there was any other light company called GE other than THE GE (General Electric). and it has the same bulb name too boot. This is the one I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/GE-Lighting-93101232-Balanced-Spectrum/dp/B07NNT3G7J/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ge+par38&qid=1602275956&sr=8-3
Look around ebay and you might snag a used/never-used for 50% or more off. I got mine for $16.

>What kind of soil is that? Is it fertilized? Soil is fox farms light warrior
>How are you watering them? Pressurized spray can >Are there holes in the bottom of the pots? If so are roots schowing out of them? Yes there are holes but no visible roots at this time.
>What light are you using? Can you link it please? This was the GE Grow Light
They were about 6" from one bulb and roughly 14"from the other. This combined with letting then go 24 without a watering for extended dryness led me to find them in a sad state.

GE's new plant light is very high quality. Pretty much can't go wrong with it and puts out a very natural looking light. I like how it's directional so it's not lighting up the whole room which is annoying to the eyes.

I like these bulbs and you put them in whatever light you have. I’ve also attached to IKEA hanging cords:

Succulents need lots of light and little water, and I don't think a north facing window would get enough light even in the warmer months. South facing windows are the best for them. However, a lot of them respond well with artificial lighting like this link! 8-12 hours a day.
1 points • LovingSouthFL
It's a GE grow light, it supplements the light in the room. Didnt feel like I was getting enough from the windows, since purchasing this the plants have been doing much better. (They were doing Ok before)

think about one of these! they’re light bulbs so you’d have to have a lamp you can screw them into. it seems like the best deal, as they’re strong and can cover a good surface area with verifiable efficiency in giving light that plants can photosynthesize with. (they show their PPF output, which is how you can tell how well grow lights work, whereas other grow lights on amazon don’t have any available info on PPF output). they also have lower watts than other grow lights on the market, which would mean less of a cost in electricity bills

Please don't use these suicide lights like you posted in the comments. "CE ROHS" MY ASS. They are line-voltage lights and are made to quite literally no standard and can just up and kill you as they are not grounded or grounded improperly.
There are a multitude of lights and light information on the sidebar info but end of the day for a space bucket you have two "really good options"

How much growlight for a large umbrella plant?
Hi! I have a large (3ft) umbrella plant that I inherited which desperately needs a grow light. I want a full spectrum white or yellow tinted light so it doesn't look weird like those purple ones. What I'm stuck on is intensity. How much PPFD do I need for such a large plant? Would this bulb be ok? It is listed at 16 micromoles per second.
https://www.amazon.com/GE-Lighting-93101230-Balanced-Spectrum/dp/B07NN6SVG6/
This one is listed at 50 micromoles/second (but has bad reviews on fakespot)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NNT3G7J/
Any help is appreciated. I love this plant, I just have absolutely no idea how much I need to buy to keep it happy.

Usually you want to look at the PAR rating of the light (as long as it's not blurple since those skew it quite a bit). Go for lights rated in Kelvin like 3000k, 3500k, 4000k, 5000k for full spectrum.
For example a light with bonus far red is good for lettuce, but not tomatos. The lettuce will grow larger leaves(positive) where the tomato will grow taller than usual (negative).
