Which one do you suggest for sensitive skin? I have a korean one this one I just need to find it lol

Hi! I have anxiety that can cause sensory issues and I completely understand where you are coming from. My best recommendation would be the Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish. After about a minute you absolutely CANNOT tell it's on your skin. If you have any dry patches and you're using it multiple times a day, I'd recommend bringing a little bit of your favorite moisturizer and layering that with the sunscreen as it can start to dry out your skin unless you have very oily skin. It's an Asian sunscreen like everyone else is recommending! It's also fairly affordable (much more than a brand like supergoop) which is definitely a plus.

I mean right now I am using this one, and so far I think it balances the oily skin I have and not having any reactions trying this.
I have been using this for 7 months now. I think after I'm done using it all, I will try to buy the same one. It's not like omg this is super amazing, but out of the sunscreens I've tried, this doesn't give me an oily feeling.
Give it a go, and if it doesn't work it's only $11

I use etudesunprise, a Japanese spf50 sunscreen. The pampered wolf recommend it and its brilliant and cheap, like under $10

I really like one on Amazon from Etude House called Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk. It does leave a very faint white cast, but it's easily rubbed out and not noticeable if you're extremely pale (like me). It doesn't pill at all and works well with all my other creams and serums in my system. It also lasted me about 6 months.

I recently started using the Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk and I've noticed it tends to flake up as I apply it on my face. I've been trying to gently rub off the flakes with my towel, but does this reduce the effectiveness of the sunscreen?

I hate to recommend Amazon, but try Amazon for KBeauty brands. I like Etude House Surprise SPF 50. I have sensitive, acneic, eczema-prone combination skin and this has never caused any breakouts or eczema flare ups or other issues. It goes on smoothly, absorbs and dries down quickly, doesn't pill or behave strangely under makeup (in a way it actually sort of acts as a primer since it dries matte). It's also just under $10!

There's a lot of really excellent, competitively priced Korean sunscreens available now--I don't think you can go wrong with many formulations as they all tend to be very gentle. Just make sure you're checking ingredient lists and reviews. Good luck with your search!

I’m using the Etude House sunscreen 50 SPF
I like that it’s less than $10, gives great protection & has a Very soft satin finish..no reactions at all in the year I’ve been using it.

It was too dry for me, but lots of folks on r/AsianBeauty really love Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish. You can usually find it on amazon.

If fragrance doesn't bother you, this one is incredible! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WE3XGAC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's the Sunprise Mild Airy Finish one. The texture is incredible (watery) and melts into skin like nothing. Leaves zero white cast.
My only gripe is the fragrance, but I'm a stickler for fragrance free stuff. It's also pretty matte, so if you have dry skin I wouldn't use it without a good moisturizer underneath.
Still, the texture is worth it!

Etude House off of Amazon! Only $10 and seriously amazing.
I skipped sunscreen for years because I couldn't find one I liked, until this one! I have super oily and acne prone skin, and it doesn't break me out at all and actually helps mattify my face without drying it out! Can't recommend enough!
It's also a physical sunscreen and not chemical, so it won't sting or burn your eyes.

I swear by this. It dries clear and you can use it over your eyelids without any burn or tears.

I have tried Neutrogena and has made me break out. I have sensitive skin and need to use hypoallergenic products. This one has worked for me and doesn't cause me to break out. It also doesn't leave a gray/white over cast on the face.

First of all, no offense but the sunscreen you used sucks. That is some oily ass shit. I mix this and this together, give or take either one depending on the state of my oily, dehydrated and acne prone skin. The one in the green bottle is incredible matte, to the point of causing dryness if your skin is not hydrated properly. The pink one is more oily, but has excellent staying power and is super waterproof.

I use Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk.
It’s good on oily and sensitive skin. It doesn’t feel greasy.
It’s a physical sunscreen. It looks a little white when I first put it on but I’m able to rub it in.
Unfortunately I have not tried other asian sunscreens, so I’m not able to offer any comparisons.

This one is the BEST! Not chemical, and no cast at all! I wear it every day, and under my makeup. It’s fantastic! It’s only $9.50. And last a LONG while!

If anyone here is looking for a kbeauty sunscreen for oily and sensitive/acne prone skin - I’ve finally found the one that doesn’t break me out or cause a white cast! It has a matte finish and blurs our pores pretty nice, and wears better under makeup than any primer I’ve tried. And, it’s only $9 — Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF50+ / PA+++ | Sebum-free, Non-Sticky, Long Lasting Protection, 100% Mineral Based Sunscreen | Kbeauty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WE3XGAC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pzQpFb2AF9FKG

For me, CeraVe+SPF 30 was a pilling nightmare under most makeup, including Stretch. I don’t have problems with CeraVe cream (in tub, no SPF) and it’s one of my favorite face moisturizers. So yes, this sounds like a problem with your SPF. I recommend trying sunscreen such as Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF50+ / PA+++ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WE3XGAC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4fnSEb5RNEBMK (a silky primer-like finish that makes my makeup last all day) or Etude House Sunprise Mild Watery Light (SPF50+/PA+++) 50ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X3QMH2M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KhnSEbQJG4V3N (fast-drying, water-light feeling; feels more like natural skin compared to primer-y finish).
I’ve used both of these with CeraVe cream and Stretch concealer hundreds of times by now and I’ve never had pilling.
Etude House is a Korean brand, and if I’m not mistaken, there are different rules regarding sunscreen formulas. Thanks to availability of skin products from Korea and Japan in recent years, now we know that not all sunscreen sucks and ruins makeup :-)

Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF 50+ / PA+++. Been using it for three years now, and it's my absolute favorite! I have extremely oily/acne-prone skin and this keeps me matte all day, while not causing any breakouts. I also have hypersensitive skin, so certain sunscreens give me an allergic reaction, but this one is mineral and I haven't had any problems. No white cast (NC45 skin shade), very moisturizing and it sets well under makeup, also reef-safe. It's only $7.30 on amazon, and the product has never changed in quality.

(( FYI- I am NOT an expert)
#1 I recommend is SPF ! It'll help with skin sensitivity and hyperpigmentation. Are you in the states? Yesstyle.com or Amazon have some great options, personally I really like the Etude House Sunmilk SPF 50 but I know there are some really good/more serious spf reviews you can find here. Don't bother w/ SPF 15, yes SOMETHING is better than NOTHING but moisturizer w/ SPF 15 isn't super effective.
#2 Is your routine just cleansing? CreaVe and Cetaphil are pretty inexpensive drugstore brands that have awesome products for hyper sensitive skin.
#3 Adding a light water-based moisturizer (AM&PM) could be a good first step.
#4 I would also recommend using an oil at night, if your skin is dehydrated AND oily you probably need to nourish the dryness before targeting the oiliness. My skin LOVES rose hip oil, but YMMV- Jojoba, marula, and other oils work as well.

Hope this helps! Again, not an expert :)

I forgot who recommended this on SA, but the $10.99 kroger sunscreen invisible gel SPF 40 is INCREDIBLE. it feels really thick when you first put it on, but after a couple seconds, I can't even tell that I'm wearing sunscreen. on the box, it says the sunscreen has the active ingredients of the supergoop! SPF 40 unseen sunscreen (which costs $34).
prior to the kroger sunscreen, I was using the etude house sunprise sunscreen (after hearing good reviews of it on SA), but it made my forehead oily and I looked super pale after application.

Sure!
This is what I'm currently using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WE3XGAC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It seems small, but it has lasted longer than I expected. Pro: it doesn't leave my skin oily Con: the scent is stronger than I would like
I've also used several by Neutrogena including this one: https://www.amazon.com/Neutrogena-Dry-Touch-Resistant-Non-Greasy-Sunscreen/dp/B000EPA4GQ/ref=sr_1_31_mod_primary_new?dchild=1&keywords=sunscreen&qid=1607217941&s=beauty&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sr=1-31 I've yet to find one by Neutrogena that isn't greasy on my skin
You could also check out Aveeno. I believe I've used their Positively Radiant sunscreen before.
If you're able to, I'd recommend perusing somewhere like Target to see what fits into your price range. If you buy sunscreen at a place like Target (or CVS and maybe Walgreens?) and find that you don't like it, you can return the product for a refund even if you've used it.

Not a derm or esthetician but I really love Asian sunscreens. (I also believe in having a separate sunscreen and moisturizer since you need to apply a lot more sunscreen than most people apply moisturizer). I buy mine off amazon for ease. Some of my favorites are:
Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence
All of them are SPF 50 PA+++ and none of them burn my eyes and I have quite sensitive eyes. They also absorb quickly and play well under makeup. Since you have to apply a nickel sized dollop to the face, quick absorption is pretty important to me.

My skin has gone through many phases over the years. I am 39. Up until 37, my skin has been relatively oily, now it is combo. But it changes throughout the season also. I would read reviews and decide if the SS is compatible. If a SS you buy doesn’t work for your face, use it for your neck, arms, chest, etc. the SS below are a mix of physical, chemical, fusion, etc. The only physical blockers are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, zinc being the better blocker. Here are the Japanese, European and Korean SS I have tried and like:

Simple oil cleanser for precleanse step, that I always go to, it is for the white version but I find all the versions to be the same. You can also buy refills:
KOSE Softy Mo White Cleansing Oil https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000V2FB7Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_afipFbE6DRS50
Second cleanse:

https://www.target.com/p/unscented-vanicream-gentle-facial-cleanser-8oz/-/A-17425434
I would rather not spend a lot on cleanser. It stays on your skin for such a short time, not worth it IMO.

Oooh, I love hearing about peoples skin/beauty.
Hair: I wash my hair 2-3 times a week but shower every day. Days that I don't wash my hair, I shower at night, days that I do wash my hair I usually shower in the morning or afternoon but before dinner (my hair takes a long time to dry and sleeping on it wet is a no-go.)
Shower Routine: I wash my body with Sol De Janeiro Bodywash. I co-wash my hair using the Suave Essentials Waterlily and Aloe Conditioner then I condition with the same product. The trick to co-washing for me is to really really rinse your hair clean, then add more conditioner just on the ends. I condition my hair upside-down and kind of scrunch my hair up towards my roots to help curls form. I rinse my hair upside-down as well, and basically keep my head upside-down till I'm out of the shower. I use a tiny tiny bit of the Kevin Murphy Angel Rinse in the shower after I rinse out my regular conditioner as a leave-in product. I don't wash my face in the shower, so I'll cover that routine later. After I turn off the water, I use a pretty big handful of the Kinky-Curly Curling Custard and with my head still flipped forward, I gently comb the product through my hair, then do the same scrunching motions as in the shower. I keep several too-large cotton t-shirts in the bathroom on my towel rack, and use them to dry my hair. I plop all of my hair into the center of one and sort of tie it around my head for an impeccable babushka look and I leave my hair like that as long as possible. Once that's done, I towel off my body and apply Neutrogena Hydro Gel Body Creamto my entire body.
Hair Styling Routine: I keep my hair up in the weird t-shirt head thingy for as long as possible, until its as close to dry as I can manage. I take off the t-shirt and blow dry with a diffuser on the lowest heat and speed settings, without touching my hair. Once my hair is completely dry, I gently scrunch the curls to break up the gel cast and I'm all set.
Nighttime Face: Days that I wear makeup, I remove my makeup with the Banila Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm and every day I wash my face with the Hado Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Foaming Cleanser. Every other night I apply a Stridex Padto the spots of my face and body that need it. A note about these, they are marketed for acne, which I don't really experience, my skin tends to be very dry, but I do have ketosis pilaris on my forehead and the Stridex really helps with that. I let the Stridex sit for about 10 minutes then spray my face with a face mister of water. You don't need to wash the Stridex off, but my moisturizer works best on wet skin. For moisturizer, I mix the Neutrogena body lotion with the Hado Labo Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion I have been doing this for about a year, and I'm obsessed. I mix the products in a old lotion tub and make a batch about every two-three weeks. I really like that this is way cheaper and more effective for me then any other product I've tried, and that I can adjust the levels on my own, so in the winter when my skin is dryer, I add more of the body lotion to make a thicker end result. After my moisturizer has sunk in, usually 15-20 minutes, I use a prescription cream on my eczema, I rotate through a few steroidal and non-steroidal to prevent steroid atrophy or topical steroid addiction. My eczema used to be really severe, I had several bouts of medication-resistant staph infections and needed to bathe in a diluted bleach solution to prevent infection in the cracked skin. About two years ago, I was approved for an injectable medication called Dupixent and it changed my life. Since then I've been able to manage it with only topical creams and avoiding certain ingredients and haven't had a severe flare-up since. Right before I go to bed, I apply the Laneige Sleeping Mask to my lips.
Morning Face: My morning routine is really similar to my nighttime one, wash my face with the Hado Labo foaming wash, apply the same moisturizer. I skip the Stridex in the mornings. I apply Etude House Sunprise Sun Milk everyday.
Everyday Makeup: I wear very basic makeup most days, I use the Glossier Skin Tint for foundation, the Glossier Cloud Paint for blush and Elf Mineral Infused Mascara for mascara.
Every Thursday night I do a special spa night for myself and I use the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask and these undereye gels.
Finances wise, it's really interesting to look at the cost of all of this. I don't consider skincare or beauty to be a huge commitment money-wise for me but seeing it laid out like this it's definitely not cheap. Switching to mixing my own moisturizer made a big difference in the cost of my beauty routine, as the large bottle of body lotion is only 8.99$ where I live and lasts me a very long time. Overall, when I added up all the costs and how frequently I purchase things, I spend about 1,100$ a year on beauty products which doesn't surprise me, but it also doesn't seem like an outrageous amount. I'm sure I spent more on iced coffee. I also am not including the cost of things like the 25$ copay on my dermatology appointments, which I have once a month, or the almost 3,000$ out of pocket cost of the Dupixent cycles a few years ago, or any hair cut services.

I can help out a bit more, in that case! :)
Isntree Green Tea Fresh Toner is an anti-oil facial toner, so it has a dual purpose. And if you don't mind some non-Korean items, I love e.l.f. Cosmetics Mattifying Lotion and Matte Blotting Mist - both are made with kaolin clay, which helps keep the skin from looking visibly oily for a few hours. They're the same price and either one would be great for oily skin.
Also, some hyaluronic acid is always good. Hyaluronic acid helps to retain moisture, so it's definitely a great thing to use with a moisturizer. Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid is absolutely awesome and since you only need a few drops per application (I do one drop on my forehead and one on each cheek), this bottle will last a long time even with daily use.
Sunscreen is also always a good part of any skincare routine. I haven't used a whole lot of different sunscreens personally, but I love Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish! It's a little greasy, but not too bad.
I have also heard that A'PIEU PURE BLOCK Natural Daily Sun Cream and Missha All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk are good choices for sunscreen for oily folks, and while I want to try them sometime, I can't say for sure how good they are.
> A face cleanser might be good too. I love Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water and you can find it at any store that sells lotion (pharmacy, grocery store, Walmart, etc.) But note that if you get this, it really really should be applied with cotton pads, which you can usually find in the skincare aisle too. I've tried using this stuff with bare hands, cotton balls, paper towels and tissues and it really does go on best with cotton pads.
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser is good for oil control and also acne. This has menthol in it, in case she has any sensitivity to mint or doesn't like the smell! One little note on oil control products, I think if you use too many of them at once, it can actually cause more oil because the skin tries to make up for the lack of oil, so maybe only pick one or two oil control items for your kit!
And any of those individually wrapped face masks you can find at just about any store would probably be nice too!
And if she needs to know what order to use stuff in, this link will give a little more info. Also, let me know if you have a particular budget to stick to and I can make some different suggestions if anything I mentioned is too expensive.

I've got sensitive combo skin and mild rosacea. I'm exhausted and overwhelmed by sunscreen.
My routine:
Morning:
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water with cotton pad.
Night:
Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser
Curology
CeraVe AM makes my skin much more oily than using the Moisturizing Cream instead. I've tried Vanicream Sunscreen, which made my skin even more oily than CeraVe AM and greasy and sticky and my skin started stinging in sunlight and I'm pretty sure it damaged my moisture barrier. I've tried Blue Lizard Sensitive, but it too was greasy and made my skin oily.
I've spent hours upon hours trying to find a suncreen my skin actually likes, but am totally paralyzed by the number of choices, ingredients, online feedback, arguments over what does or doesn't provide enough protection, and what ingredients are and aren't safe.
My wishlist is ridiculous and my skin is dreading it:
Blue Lizard Sensitive Face Mineral
ROHTO Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch
Nivea Super Sun Protect Water Gel
Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily
Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk
I have no idea how to decide between them. But I would like to not destroy my skin. I would almost rather give up.
