If you're fine with a TN display, the Dell S2719DGF is well regarded too.

Is this the same product? Why are the prices so wildly different?
I’m looking for a 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor for gaming and watching shows. This seems to be the best deal I’ve seen.
2 points • Tykras
I got this Dell monitor, great choice if you've got the horsepower to push 1440p at 144fps, and I was able to get it on sale for $260, so you can get ot for a bit less if you can wait.

Hey buddy ummm... Got some bad news, Amazon is selling these for 299.99

Here are the monitors, both are 27" 2560x1440 through display ports :) They frequently go on sale for about $300
2 points • Silver_Foxxx
An RX 5700 XT will run your desktop at 4K but it won't play games smoothly at that screen resolution. A 60Hz screen does not a gaming monitor make.
The Dell can do 144Hz at 2560X1440 and does a gaming monitor make.
It's the much faster solution for a gaming monitor and does more closely match your video card's gaming specs.

The Dell S2719DGF is $340 USD on Amazon. Yes that’s $40 above what you mentioned, but at 27 inches, 155hz, and 1ms response time you really can’t beat that price. Also, it’s g-sync compatible, and it overclocks to 155hz. I managed to find it at the Amazon’s Choice price of $275 but I think that deal went away.

Mind you it’s not the greatest monitor, but for an entry-level gaming monitor it’s not the worst ever. The 1440p is crisp and looks fantastic, and although it lacks HDR it does make up for it in color integrity from wider viewing angles.

Also going for $275.98 on Amazon right now. Not cheaper, but maybe worth considering if you prefer Amazon's customer service and/or shipping.

Are you looking for high refresh rate at 1440p? If so, and take this with a grain of salt as I am not a professional, but these Dell ones for $50 more each might be good ones to save up for.
1 points • BluePieceOfPaper
All depends on your budget. Hop on amazon and type in "Gsync 1440p monitor" then filter by the size you want. Gsync is what you want because you went with an nvidia card.
Monitors aren't cheap but I've learned over time, it's often one of the best places to sink money outside of the cpu/gpu. For the longest time I was the cheap 19" monitor guy. Then one day I bought a wicked 1440P monitor and I was like "oh... I've been doing this wrong the whole time."
This is the monitor I use~400$ or so. The quality is bonkers for the price. And a good monitor can often outlive the machine.

You might want to find a monitor/TV with HDMI 2.1 so you’ll get support for 4K at 120FPS. That will be the ultimate experience for the series X. But rn those monitors are limited and expensive.
If not I would recommend a 1440P monitor at 144Hz+. Like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N2L5CXO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_NEgyFbYS3MN72

I was also looking at this monitor from Amazon. Its a Dell with Freesync for the AMD card. This is roughly the same as the one you suggested, right?

I recently bought this monitor to go with my new rig and connected via displayportto a new RTX 2070S

The max resolution it will allow is 1080p. Obviously I only bought this for 1440p. What dumb thing am I missing to be able to switch this over? Windows is telling me it's using Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and that max resolution is 1080p

This is the best quality deal I could find on Amazon, I just ordered for myself. Overclocks to 155hz

I definitely agree. That monitor has had some good deals pop up. I remember seeing the best ones from Newegg. Another monitor that is a good option is Dell2719DGF. It frequently goes on sale for $299. It is a TN panel but it's pretty much one of the top TN panels you could get. I have it and I don't have any issues with it.
Also looks like some people didn't like my opinion on the monitor OP mentioned. Whoops. Just pointed out some things I personally didn't like in it. It's still not a bad monitor.

Amazon appears backordered until mid October but another seller has then now at the same $399 shipped.

How would this do compared to the Dell S2719DGF? I just returned one of those because I'm not into TN's.
1 points • lego950
So I have this one and the big brother S2719DGF, I think they're both great with a tiny bit of color tuning. They both have usb hubs, 144hz 1440p and great build quality.

Just bought a 2080Ti and my monitor doesn’t support DisplayPort. Thoughts on the below?
Dell S-Series 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Gaming Monitor (S2719DGF); QHD (2560 x 1440) up to 155 Hz; 16:9; 1ms Response time; HDMI 2.0; DP 1.2; USB; FreeSync; LED; Height Adjust, tilt, Swivel & Pivot https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N2L5CXO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7-XUEb4KGS1H3

yeah the dell s2719dgf. it is one of the best TN panels around. you can find a lot of information about it on reddit if you look. this is ordinarily $350 down to $275

Then i would still reccomend a 1440p high refresh monitor over a 60hz 4k monitor. Here is agood 1440p monitor https://www.amazon.com/Dell-27-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor-S2719DGF/dp/B00N2L5CXO/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=1440p+144hz+monitor&qid=1589121761&sprefix=1440p&sr=8-6
I would still reccomend a ultrawide monitor, you can still play games with an extra window next to it, you just don't have the bezel
1 points • OhLawdHeChonks
Go for the Dell S2719DGF. It’s freesync but it works flawlessly with Nvidia cards. Great colors and gaming performance...one of the favorites on Reddit. Also because it’s on sale you could get two for your budget.
1 points • n00bpwnerer
Dude go for the S2719DGF. It's the king of 1440p 144hz monitors.
1 points • Xenoxus
I used to have two of these, before upgrading to an ultrawide, and then upgrading to two msi optix mag27gq's. I know, lots of monitors.
The ones I linked are very nice and are quite aesthetically pleasing, and has a lot of cool features you'll enjoy. My little brother's been using them for a while and he's just about as content as I was!
Good luck on your search!

I do, I'll be getting some parts from microcenter, ordering the rest online. They don't have the GPU or the CPU at my local one.
I haven't fully figured out what monitor yet, worrying about the actual build first, but I'm thinking this dell monitor
