Adding to what /u/Faildini said, if you're having trouble deciding, just get a Wifi card based on the Intel AX200:

this is just a smidge more for wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 which I'll say is a pretty good catch. It was around $35 a couple of months ago.

Wifi Card on a small mobo

I have an mATX (H310m pro-vdh plus) motherboard and I have an rx560 installed. If I put in this it will sit close to the fan on the rx560 (\~15% of the fan at \~1 cm away).

Will this cause the card to overheat? My computer normally sits at 50 celsius after some semi-light activities (AKA: Among us), and I have a fan installed that is near the slot for the card, at a 90 degree angle.

Note: I will post a picture of my pc later if needed, just request for it

You would have to buy a WiFi card, that's about $30-$35. It installs the same way as a graphics card.

Honestly you should just spend a few more dollars and get an Intel AX200 based wifi card, they cost sub 30$ for some on Amazon and all perform the exact same such as this one and follows the newest wifi standard. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082NZYDDM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_06XpFbWM4HP1X

You could probably use any USB, PCIe or PCI adapter and it would work. You could even be a cool kid and get something like this, which is basically just a laptop WiFi card with a PCIe adapter (so it's super cheap and you can upgrade it with other laptop WiFi cards in the future).

Without the box on hand, it looks exactly like this and I'm almost positive it's it, now cheaper apparently.

I was using that thread as an example. Yes, I should better that have emphasized that I'm looking for a PCIe interface , not a usb.

That EDUP sounds right up my alley. 3000mbps.

I also saw this there CUDY.

Is there any significance to plugging my mouse receiver into a usb plug on the card. If so, I'd like to find a card with that type of interface.

Computer is plugged into ethernet, setup the pcie as a mobile hotspot that broadcasts only 5ghz, connected the Q2 and viola 1200mbps. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

This is the card I ordered, I would switch out to a better antenna if your playing a ways away.

Is it worthwhile to upgrade my USB wifi adapter? (Lagging in some games and some connections drops, but usually good) I have about fluctuating latency around 46ms in Overwatch with this adapter compared to <25ms on Ethernet.

If I do switch, which of these two should I pick?:
