They're wired, you can see in the photo on the right-hand side of each shelf.

Begonia just gets natural light from the window 🙂

This is what I use and I have it drilled into a cheap bookcase for now. I would also look into grow bulb specs because some lightbulbs that don’t specifically advertise as a grow bulb may work just as well for a cheaper price!

I sorta hate the shelves not cause they don’t work but cause they’re sorta ugly. they’re just those plastic Walmart type of shelves for the garage but they were from BJs which is like Costco and they were 15 dollars. They’re pretty sturdy though. Not that terrible to look at but I needed a quick/cheap winter fix.
As for the lights I love them they’re from amazon they were 31 dollars I’ll attach a link! They’re cool cause (like most grow lights) they have a timer and I put them on during the day and I used to think I’d hate the way having grow lights looked but actually they’re not bad at all and once I find a better looking shelf I’ll definitely keep using them. Much more attractive than the pink lights lol! :)

I have these lights under my shelves and love them.

I've really liked the DuroLux T5s that I've bought from Amazon. They have different lengths, and 2 light and 4 light setups. I use the 2 light setups on my houseplants and the 4 light fixtures with my succulents.
I just ordered, but haven't tried yet, some led strip grow lights. These are for tighter spots where I just want a little extra light.
I used to use Sunblaster single tube ballisters but they're just ok in my opinion. For the cost there are better products.
If you have a bunch of plants without saucers, consider getting a large boot tray to put on whatever shelf you're using to keep the plants in. Just makes things easier.

How big are the cubbies? Fake plants are definitely the simplest solution, but personally I like real ones better.
Something like this looks like it would be perfect if a strip will fit in a cubby at least diagonally: LED Grow Light Strips for Plants,Cholas 36W 132 LEDs Auto ON & Off Function,3/9/12H Timer 5 Dimmable Levels and 3 Switch Modes for Indoor Plants Gardening Greenhouse 3 Pack (Full Sepectrum Light) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T8H9HJB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_EIFpEb33SDBYQ

$50 total maybe?? I figured some sort of long strip against the ceiling would be best. I just just confused with the different colors used since some are purple committed and others are normal. I’m leaning towards this guy

I use these but theres probably better options out there, they have some sort of circuit issues so if theyre set to the highest brightness they flicker on and off

Besides what everyone has said, can you install a grow light? There's some LED strip lights that mount under a shelf or ledge that also have a timer built in, so you can give a plant enough light to survive even if your bathroom is really dark.
I ordered these but haven't had an opportunity to test them yet, but there's plenty of 1, 2, and 3 strip LED lights that are full-spectrum so they're white instead of pink or red or whatever.

It does seem to be really complicated. I struggled with the whole wattage thing, then said screw it and went with these and I love them! My plants do extremely well under them and it makes their sun stress colors look so nice. If you have any questions I’d be glad to answer them!

I have my calatheas under grow lights. One set is like this. The other set is like this.
I don’t have all three lights trained on the calatheas. I have the three strips spread out across three shelves, each one lighting an individual shelf. And the bendy lamp, I have each head pointed in a different direction for a group of plants that are sitting on different surfaces.
Low light tolerant doesn’t mean low light thriving. Even calatheas need good light.

This is what I use. My apartment doesn't get much natural light, and my plants responded well. I'm really impressed with it. I did have to buy some velcro tape because the sticky tape it came with wasn't very good and I didn't wanna drill holes in my plant stand.
I also got 2 of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NN6SVG6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I replaced the pre-existing bulb. I think it helps :)

Sure thing! The clipper isn't the best, which is why I have the light strands twisted around the stand. They're not aesthetically pleasing, but plants seem happy and baby succs are already changing colors. The grow lights
These grow lights are arriving today. I plan on returning one of the two. Want me to let you know how these turn out?

I would go with the some leave as noted in this picture with the plant in the back right. The plant in front right with no leaves didn't make it. I have two set of lights (pic1) and (pic2).
