[MOTHERBOARD] Asus Prime X570-P Ryzen 3 AM4 with PCIe Gen4, Dual M.2 HDMI, SATA 6GB/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 ATX Motherboard (Tier A VRM) - $127.99 ($159.99-$32.00)

I'm building my first pc and I got a question on this case. I've heard that depending on the mobo you might not be able to add two bottom mounted fans; is there any way to check for something like that?
This is the mobo I'll be using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SW925DR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_dMtZFbWMR94W4
Also if anyone knows if I would have to buy something extra to connect all 6 rgb fans and an aio to the mobo as well; would be greatly appreciated. The fans I'll be using are 3 120 phanteks rgb fans plus the 3 case fans

My speculation is that prices could go down. All the chinese factories are going to be building motherboard, and there is nobody who wants to buy one except me.
But yeah. It's annoying that it takes hours and many tries to, uh, turn my computer on any time i let it turn off.
https://www.amazon.com/Asus-Prime-X570-P-Ryzen-Motherboard/dp/B07SW925DR
This claims to be a sale (and is pretty good tier board).

I'd spend a little more and get the ~$130 Asus X570-P, unless mATX is needed of course. Amazon says in stock on October 20th, but it sounds like you're waiting for a next gen CPU anyways!

Looks like another disaster like I had with the ASUS TUF Gaming...
Srsly. I'm done with ASUS.
Thanks, though.
1 points • BullyMog
The downside to that is getting a X570 motherboard is usually a bit more expensive.
I personally have went with B450 and had 100% luck with all 5 boards being updated, but it isn't guaranteed.
Something like that will work 100%. Or any other X570 mobo.

I would just get the x570 asus prime, it's on the budget level it's barebones but paired with ryzen it seems to be a good cookie cutter that should last several years

I'll be building a 3900x system in the next month, on Mobos, I'm seeing DIMM or DDR4 listed as memory type. is their a difference? if so what? is one better for 3d rendering?
example about a quarter down the page.

Asus Prime X570-P Ryzen 3 AM4... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SW925DR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
No over clocking of any kind. It only worked for a few days before it started doing this.

Yeah, for a $2k PC build you really should be getting a cheaper X570 board
I went with this board and it’s been great.

Yeah, I'm having a ton of trouble just finding something in stock not over priced. I did find an Asus Prime x570 P , I think I'm about to buy it, any thoughts?
EDIT: lol nvrmind it's not in stock either

Your parts you picked are actually good. You do have one issue, your cpu and motherboard wont work. B450 CAN support ryzen 3rd gen chips(ones in the 3000's) but to do that you'll have to do a bios update. And if you dont know what you're doing, the way to save yourself from that is pick up one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SW925DR/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_sZaLEbE2TQRGA
It's the mobo I have in my beast build and its $147 You dont NEED that cpu cooler on the list because the wraith cooler your cpu comes with is pretty decent. So that's a way to cut corners on this build. But if you WANT to do the bios update, you're gonna need a working computer and a flash drive to do this and make it work

I found a cl16 3600mhz ram for $23 more, is that worth it? Also what do you think about this ASUS Prime x570-P for only $127 instead of a B550?
I think I'll wait for 5600x since it's going to come out so soon. I have to wait for the 3070 anyways so I can hold out a little longer.
EDIT: Well nvm the x570 sold out. I'll go with the b550 then.

> The B550 and X570 boards ain't that cheap and you can get Z490 for 150 dollars anyway.
As little as $150 for a X570, as little as $90 for a B550. The cheapest Z490 on Amazon is $160. Not to mention, if your current board is B450/X470, you don't need to upgrade it for Zen 3.
The guy you replied to was right.

Really anything by ASUS or MSI in my opinion. Always had a good time with both brands with no issues.
Personally I have a Ryzen 7 3700x in one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T5QDRFX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_PmOIEb7X79HV1
But I’ve heard good things about this board especially for the Ryzen 9: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SW925DR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_goOIEbGYB6GDK
Either way you can’t really go wrong, but you’ll probably want an x570 chipset instead of a b450.
1 points • dunkshaq
I'd go with an x570 motherboard, there seems to be worthy upgrades in the 570 system, including m.2 speeds or something. Since it's the most current you're also guaranteed that it'll worth with 4XXX chips if they are still the same socket type. I like my X470 Asus Prime, here is the X570 version.
Edit: More info here.
I'd also recommend a 3600x because AMDs built-in overclocking is praised. I'd only go with the 3600 if you want to overclock yourself. Also make sure the RAM is at least 3000mhz+, AMD chips benefit a lot from RAM speed.
I say this because if you're going to build a computer, might as well "future-proof" it just a little to give you better upgrade paths in the future instead of having to replace the MOBO.
1 points • jselph17
Yes, I'm going to wait for benchmarks before jumping on the 3080, although I believe it will be a good card. This build is actually for my friend who's running an old GTX 960 with an older i5 and in desperate need of an upgrade.
Do you think the Asus Prime X570-P would be good with the RTX 3080 (or just in general with the Ryzen 3700X)?

There are better ones you can get but they are also more money. It really depends on your budget. More money= more features. If you are fine with spending more money than go with this

You try an ASUS prime-p. Pretty solid board or me after my nightmare with an MSI board 😭✅
2 points • SiN_Fury
I'm personally using the ASUS Prime x570-P because I got it for $117.99 on Prime Day. It doesn't come with WiFi, but I just bought a $25 (on Prime Day) PCI card with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Not the most feature rich board in terms of ethernet speed and the rear I/O, but it has great VRM and thermals and it suits my personal needs fine.
The x570 Tomahawk is really good for it's price point, but it's hard to find at MSRP, and even then it's still not cheap. If you have a Microcenter near you, it goes for $220.
This is Hardware Unboxed's original roundup when x570's first came out. He didn't review the Tomahawk until it came out earlier this year.

I'd invest in better RAM I'd get a set of 2 x 8 at good speeds it will benefit you now and will benefit you in the future if you upgrade other parts. For example the ryzen line of CPUs perform much better with mid to high quality ram but you'll probably have to get a new motherboard if you got a ryzen cpu.
I saw you said you wanted to stay under 500 so I made some picks if you wanted to improve the system dramatically for under 500 usd

Did you mean you really like the $220 MSI MPG B550 or the $150 one? Is there any difference besides wifi? Though, this next question might trump that. So, the x570s are better suited for 4th gen Ryzen? Any of these particularly good? 1. Asus Prime X570p $150. 2. MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus $156 3. ASRock AM4/X570 Steel Legend $189 4. ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus $170. Are these even high end enough? I know I am leaning on you hard. Appreciate ya!

Yes I believe the Dynamic home theater setting is the one that best utilizes the 5.1 or 7.1. It is the best for me honestly hearing EXACT footprint placements.
If you aren't running it, you are missing out on game sound.
I have ASTRO A50. They are ok. Hella expensive, and I honestly don't see much difference between any of the headsets I use.
Sound to me is the same, mic sounds to others is only real difference.
Ive bought these >https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PNZMC91/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Got these >https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hyperx-cloud-stinger-core-wireless-7-1-surround-sound-gaming-headset-for-pc-black/6407588.p?skuId=6407588
and G930
All have sounded about the same. No audio delays whatsoever in wireless. First one I have for wired, from Runmus, they're actually pretty good too. and if you give them a review they send you a second pair.
Honestly myself, I wouldn't upgrade intel.
you spend damn near 400$ just for CPU. ANd that one isn't hyper threaded.
Ryzen 7 is entirely unlocked anyways. No K needed.
you get 8 cores 16 threads.
Great single core performance. Great multithreaded performance.
Cheaper than intel. Better than Intel. right now get that CPU and mobo for price of intel CPU.
If it isn't ur sound card its multitasking fuckin your stuff up.
I play with a Ryzen 7 2700. Asus strix x470. Am constantly streaming my plex library out to many people. Torrenting.
Doing all sorts of shit. While also running 130+ frames on my gtx 1080 and ryzen combo.
