Do you recommend the Acer Nitro 5 (RTX 2060, i7-9750h)?
I'm looking for a cheap (~$1050) laptop that will handle AAA gaming and will last for 3-4 years. I'm very tempted by this deal as it has everything I'm looking for (rtx 2060, i7-9750h, 16gb ram, 144hz display, 256 GB SSD with upgrade options), and it fits perfectly in my budget. I want some insight on this and your opinions on if it's a good deal or not. Thanks in advance.

Man, if it was like, 700$, that'd bea nice deal.
You can regularly find NEW Helios 300 for that prince...with 9750 and 144HZ, alongside 16GB of RAM.
Fuck, in fact, right now, I just found a Acer Nitro 5...with a 2060!
And 16GB, 144HZ, 9750H ect...for 1018$. 100$ more...for a system that is miles ahead.

Honestly A Acer Nitro 5 would be a good option although, you don't need the extra GPU power it has 144hz, 16GB of RAM and a i7 9750h with a RTX 2060 for 999 dollars

Well i suppose its good enough but heres a muchbetter one. acer nitro 5 Ita 150usd more expensive but worth it imo. Got a 144hz monitor and an rtx 2060 just for a bit more.

I’m getting this version of the Nitro 5 with RTX 2060, which is better than the GTX 1650. It has an open slot for another hard drive/SSD, so I’m planning on upgrading it with an SSD. This might be of interest to you.
The only downside is you’d have to wait a month or so for it to be delivered. I’ve accepted the wait and expect it in late July.

That looks pretty good, but if you wanna play stuff like arma, ark and cod you maybe would want to upgrade. With this stuff you should be able to play them fine with a little tuning, but if you have an extra £100 you could go for something like this

Is storage the only difference between these two?

If you can squeeze a bit more, this would be your best bang for your buck. Nitro 5 all the way!
Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop, 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, 15.6" Full HD IPS 144Hz Display, 16GB DDR4, 256GB NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Waves MaxxAudio, Backlit Keyboard, AN515-54-728C https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08777BH1B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_tKTwFb47MZVD4
Perhaps upgrade the storage in the future too for more games.

>I've also heard about things like "quad-cores" and "High CPU/GPU"
Quad core is the number of cores, more cores = better performance. Also number of threads is important. About high cpu/gpu, you might mean High-end, (aka stronger cpu/gpu) which are the most recent cpus/gpus (example: 8th/9th/10th gen intel cpus, 4th gen amd ryzen cpus, some nvidia gtxs like 1070Ti/1080Ti, and all the rtx gpus).
The games you listed don't require a good laptop, so finding a laptop will be easy. You also said: >if the price goes a little over 1k that's fine, too
Assuming you are in the USA, this costs 1k $ and comes with a i7-9750h gen core and an rtx 2060 gpu which is very good, also has 16Gb ram, a 144hz screen and a SSD: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08777BH1B/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_ECwIFb2QZ3DWB
Hope i helped!

I don’t like the red accents personally but this is around the ball park of what needs to be in the pc. If you can get better specs then that is just a better experience for you in VR. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08777BH1B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_mUFfFb1F61DWV

The model I'm referencing is
and I'll probably grab one myself if it dips below 900 on black friday since it's an all-rounder laptop and will work with my wifi 6 capable router.

I didn't spend much time looking, but I found this Laptop which has very similar specs for darn near half the price. If you'd like I can help you find a good fit for whatever you need it for. I would just need an idea of what you're using it for and what you're looking for in it.

Thank you for the info! This is the link for it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08777BH1B/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 maybe it’s too good to be true?

This Acer Nitro 5 is a beast and will run all your games at ultra-high graphics and solid 60+ FPS. Very good for digital art and editing too.
As specs go, if you're looking into other models, look for atleast 16GB RAM (or 8GB with an upgradeable slot) and a 4GB dedicated graphics card or higher.

Pre-pandemic, I wouldn't buy that computer for 30% off.
For Premiere, it comes down to: cpu top per-core speed, cpu core count, and SSD yes/no. GPU next but your options are limited and a laptop will never be a desktop (where GPUs lead a better life). The rest is mostly irrelevant, especially on a laptop.
So base a purchase around the CPU. The fastest/best you can afford. Typically SSDs are easily upgraded, so something like this is one upgrade away from being a beast. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i7-9750H-MaxxAudio-Keyboard-AN515-54-728C/dp/B08777BH1B
Considering a desktop computer and/or the used laptop market will open up more options for you.

The acer nitro 5 from the list also has a 2060 version for $1,019 + tax on Amazon if that's what you're looking for

Check this one if you want an acer nitro
It comes with a rtx 2060 at same price of the legion 5, but comes with a i7 9th
1 points • RomanLegate
I hope you didn’t pay too much for that. You might want to have done more research, most new gaming laptops come with a RTX 2060 or better and 9th or 10th gen processors.
Also you’re not going to have a good time on IL2 without a decently sized external monitor.
I looked at your post history. You’d get better performance at a cheaper price with this:

Tell me about it (navy mechanic who learned all this stuff just last year). It's faster but not by an obscene amount for gaming. The current standard is a i7-9750h and comparing them (pay attention to the darker red and purple boxes) the difference is within 5 fps for most games and maybe 20 fps for games like Counterstrike or Overwatch.
You won't find many in the price range though. I fact, I only see one right at $1k.

/r/GamingLaptops wasn't super helpful with my question, so I'm hoping you guys might be able to help. Would this Acer Nitro 5 run Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 at high/ultra settings?
Figured you guys might know best about the hardware inside.
~~Edit: Would you guys recommend the Acer Nitro 5 or the Acer Predator Helios 300?~~ Looks Like the Helios is the way to go.

fyi here in Denmark ps4 pro costs 480 euro and horizon zero dawn is 70 euro on the store
that makes 550 euro just to play 1 game, where for 400 euro more you can buy a whole fucking rtx laptop with 144hz attached display on it and play even on your shitter if you like https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i7-9750H-MaxxAudio-Keyboard-AN515-54-728C/dp/B08777BH1B/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=2060+laptop&qid=1597018242&sr=8-4
