How was your experience with Vega 64? (Is it new? or used? I am looking at your flair.) I see that even used NVidia's are pricey (like 1080 is 270-280$). I am thinking maybe vega 56 or 1660 super as I see they are comparable (10-15% at 1080p) if newer designs might get better optimization from game devs later I will maybe buy 1660 super.

Not really sure what you're looking for specifically but I always recommend the XFA240 on Amazon. For 200 dollars, you get 1080p and full tilt, swivel, and access to mounts, and it says it's gsync but I'm not entire sure about that. It's a pretty good deal I think. I would get some other suggestions from others before buying it. My friends and I have bought 5 of them and they've all successfully worked perfectly.

Ok, you won't be able to get 144 FPS on some games with a 1050Ti

If you upgrade higher, that's a different story

For stuff like Valorant, CS:GO, R6, and other well-optimized games you will be fine and will benefit from the monitor.

Also, if you are getting another Nvidia GPU, i suggest getting the Acer XFA240 as it's 144hz with G-Sync. Also under 200$. Highly recommend.

This is the monitor I bought which I now have 2 of. 1080p isn’t bad place to start and it allows for 144hz. Quick response time. Fully adjustable to tilt, swivel, lean, etc.

G sync is for Nvidia cards and it makes gameplay super smooth while not gaining input lag like you would with v sync turned on. Freesync is basically the same thing but for AMD gpus. Once you experience it, you'll be blown away.

This is a good 1080p monitor at a great price right now. Idk if you want 1440p but if you did then you'll probably paying quite a bit more. I have a 165 hz acer monitor and it's amazing.

Thanks for the response. I'll definitely check out the discord. Can I also find details on the there about the emulator settings that I should use for my specific monitor specs? If not, then maybe you can offer some advice.

In my case, I have a 144hz monitor with a 1ms response time. Seems like based on your comment above I should change my refresh rate to 120hz and then make the buffer 6? or 8?

if it matters, here is a direct link to my specific monitor.

With the money he'll save compared to the pricier builds he could buy a 144Hz monitor like this one when it comes into stock to get the most out of the PC:

You might get better value out of something like NZXT's BLD service if you don't want to build your own system, but it does require you to select components which might not be great if you aren't all that familiar with everything.

As for a monitor if you only want to play Skyrim and don't have any fast paced shooters on the menu, then a 1440p 60Hz monitor would be okay, something like this might work for you. If you plan on playing some faster paced shooter games, then having a high refresh monitor is very beneficial, and something like this might be a good option.

With a TV you won't have a good time, unless youre using a controller and playing games from a bit far away. I can include the monitor for you, but i need you to know that your PC can play a good amount of games at 1440P, but going with such a monitor at 144Hz with cost a decent amount, you can get such a monitor later on down the line, for now i reccomend just a simple 1080p 144Hz. The best budget one you can get costs around 160$, this monitor is on the budget side and the reason for that is because the materials used to make it are cheap. In terms of performance and colors and all the actual important stuff it's great, the maker only skimmed on the materials on the outside. This monitor will wabble alot if you move it and if you slam your desk. If you are not worried about that because you don't plan to move it even an inch, then it should be a solid buy. If you want to be safe you can get a higher quality one of course, but this is the best cheap one you can get. A higher quality one is gonna cost around 200$

https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VP249QGR-Monitor-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B083FMP35T This is the budget monitor, currently out of stock but it normally costs 160$

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XFA240-bmjdpr-Response-Technology/dp/B06ZYHZ6R6/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1IIT0MPGI9AK8&dchild=1&keywords=144hz+monitor&qid=1592607486&s=electronics&sprefix=144hz%2Celectronics%2C244&sr=1-1

This is a higher quality one, at 200$, this one also lets you move the monitor up and down, a feature which the first one doesn't have. That could be a problem if you buy the cheap one because that means you may need a chair that goes up and down to adjust yourself, if you don't have either the monitor could stand too low or to high. If you have a chair that you can adjust in height and don't mind it, you can get the first monitor. If you don't have a chair you may need to buy the second one, just to make sure.

EDIT: If you want to, i can remove some parts from the build, which will not affect the build that much and you can add those parts later yourself. Thing is that i know that you are not comfortable with working on your PC, or else you would've built it from scratch. The parts i can exclude are the HDD and the RAM, these are really easy to install, even a beginner could do it. If you want you can instead make the build this way and add the extra RAM and HDD later on. You can check on youtube to see how RAM and HDD can be put into a system, it's really easy. If you do it this way, the build will come out to 1600$ including the 200$ monitor. This will mean that you can get the monitor quicker possibly if you can afford to spend 1600$ instead of 1500$. It's your choice if you want to go this route of course, you could go with the other easier route.

BenQ XL2411P (My recommendation)
