I used this on my last deployment. It played Apex, Star Citizen, Warzone, and every other title I wanted to play with no issues.

Question, I found a laptop from Amazon prime that would have cost me PHP59.4K (estimate) to ship to the PH. A similar model would net around 75K - 80K locally.

Would it have been worth it to buy or nah?

Is this new, refurbished, or an open box? This price just almost seems too good to be true. Especially, the cheapest I've been able to find it(even on amazon, which I'll provide a link) is for $1098: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QXLFLXT/ref=psdc_13896615011_t1_B07MDGQBS9?th=1

Which it has less storage. I'm just wondering how all that will work. Like will I have to pay tariffs, ect. Again, sorry if the questions/concerns are dumb. Just, would be new to ordering anything online from another country(even though it's still amazon).

Most gaming laptops are just a no go in my opinion but if you think it’s a good deal, you can aways get it then return it. I’d wait until this one goes on sale, although it is already priced well.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 would be the best value for money laptop in your budget

Screen Type: 15.6" Full HD 144Hz 3ms IPS Display,

Processor: Intel i7-9750H,

Graphics: GTX 1660 Ti 6GB,

RAM:16GB DDR4,

Storage Type: 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD

Although it is a gaming laptop it is a great option for you as it has the power to run solid works well. Its battery life is not that long (around 4-5 hrs) so you will have to walk with your charger. The GPU in this laptop won’t go stale for a while as it is fully able to run new titles on max settings and get great FPS. An improvement on the 2018 version as it has a much better cooling system that can be easily tweaked to improve performance even more.

Not sure if you're in the U.S or use amazon but here's the store listing. (I recommend putting a larger ssd in the laptop just in case 512 gb isn't enough space): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QXLFLXT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_vkcnEbMPMNM5Z

Sure, you can get much less expensive ones, but they won't run VR.

You should be able to add a 2tb 2.5inch drive as well if you want to upgrade storage

My previous generation Helios 300 lasted 1.5ish years of HEAVY use, and I only broke the left spacebar stabilizer, and the s key is slightly worn. I would reccomend the 144hz over the 60 tho, the 60 was suffering. You may want to get an external display but I've heard the displays improved :)

Acer helios 300, best value of 2019 no doubt. It has a 1660ti and 6 core Cpu. Battery life is not great, but check if it is enough for you. Besides, all laptops have sucky performance when not plugged in.

It went as low as 950 during black Friday, and it's usually around 999. For some reason it's slightly higher right now, but wait a bit until it goes back to 999. Amazon link

Important! Get 2019 model (blue highlights), NOT 2018 model. That one had some thermal issues

I've been deliberating for the past few weeks on what to buy Cyberpunk on, I can think of merits for both, so I'm throwing it to you all for your thoughts.

I have a PS4 Pro, will be getting a PS5 (when I can lol). I have it hooked up to a Samsung 43" TU8000 4K TV. I also have an Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop.

Part of me is considering getting the game for PS4 Pro/PS5. That will be able to do 4K or do 60 fps pretty reliably. Only thing is that I'll lack visual customization which I enjoy. Also, I'm going to be building a new desktop in the new year, so I could transfer my save files to the desktop. Since the new Nvidia 30 series touts 4K at 60 FPS, that would be amazing. The thing is though, unlike my PS4 Pro/PS5 there's no way to know 100% how the game will perform on the laptop. I'm sure it'll be ok, but will it likely be superior to the PS4 Pro in terms of FPS? That I'm unsure of.

So, what do you all think?

Theres no display port on the laptop so I doubt you could get it to work. Personally I would go with this since it has a mini display port so in theory it should work. Also I've had better luck with Acer compared to MSI personally.

I bought this a month ago. Works great with my Vive and plays beatsaber/budget cuts with no problems. You would probably need to spend an extra hundred bucks to get a terabyte sad (or less for an hdd) because it doesn't come with much storage.

If you wanna buy gaming laptop, Best 15" gaming laptop I have ever known, yes this thing is really powerful, the trade off is the size, weight and the battery life. it's around 2KG or around 3.8 lbs if my brain calculation not wrong.

For the smaller 13-14 inches laptops, I don't see much but the new ROG 14 inches coming soon with Ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU, the mid tier should lying around 1300. Otherwise you only can get a cheaper laptop with an MX250 or mostly 1050 Max Q, the performance will be no where near 1660Ti though, but you get a more elegant design and thinner device. There's a deivce from MSI that's called MSI Prestige 14, it's looks nice, powerful but the price is over 1300 a bit... so yeah there's that.

13 inches... well the Razer Blade Stealth should be good for you, there's a MX150 option which can play these game ok. $1300 is a mid-to-high end laptops. It should treats you fine, as long as you don't care much about high FPS and graphics like I do (well I mostly can sacrifice graphics for FPS though xD) Edit for this: There's much more 13 inches devices with Nvidia MX graphics too.

Edit the ending: I would recommend getting a device with a dedicated graphics card as it will help you more in gaming and video editing. Mac OS power usage and software ultilities is different from windows. I don't know if you know this or not but I just want to help you so: if you do heavy task like video editing or gaming, remember to plug in your laptop as windows laptop will limit it's power to save battery life.
