For 1200$ which is a little above you're budget, you can get the newest Helios 300 which has insane value for the price:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-10750H-Dual-Channel-PH315-53-72XD/dp/B08842D7JS

Keep in mind though, neither one of those two (Legion and Helios) have warranty here.

Idk how people feel about the 80 Euro price for games. Why are games 10 euro more expensive when the new hardware makes development faster and easier

Just buying 7 games and you already spent more money than having this https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-10750H-Dual-Channel-PH315-53-72XD/dp/B08842D7JS/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=rtx%2B2060%2Blaptop&qid=1600273404&sr=8-1&th=1 not to mention that you need to buy a 120hz monitor or tv

This one is perfect. The others are more expensive but does practically the same thing. This model has 512 SSD. So it will boot up any program extremely fast... Connect an external monitor and keyboard to the laptop while at home if you can.

How long will it take for rtx 1660 ti to stop supporting medium settings?

I’m buying a gaming laptop, and this looks like the best deal I can get. There was a rtx 2060 but I felt like the delivery was to long.

Unrelated question: how much will amazon prime speed up the delivery of https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08842D7JS/ref=psdcmw_13896615011_t1_B07YM938TP ? I might change my answer with this information

When will the RTX 2060 variant of the Acer Predator Helios 300 come back in stock?

I’ve really fallen in love with the idea of this laptop actually costing $1200 USD, as many have said online and in this subreddit. Anyone have any ideas when it will be back, or how often they go in stock?

If anyone has any other suggestions or wants to convince me to buy a better laptop please feel free to do so. Thank you!

Should I get this laptop? Acer Predator Helios 300 (2020 Refresh)

On amazon I found a new version of the Helios 300. It comes with an i7-10750H and RTX 2060, all for $1,199. However, there are no reviews for this on amazon, and I can't find the laptop with these specific specs on the Acer website. I am not sure whether this page is legit or not.

I think he is referring to this one just a heads up though, it is not fairly priced right now, 3rd party sellers are hiking up the price, it should go for 1200.

For future proofing I wouldn't recommend Pascal based GPU's, although the 1660/50ti is a Turing in disguise it doesn't have all the shaders and ray tracing features of a full blown 2060 or up.

Best bet would be anything above Intel i7 8th gen CPU and 2060Ti or above in the GPU department. In the CPU department not much has changed performance-wise from 7th to 11th gen. But for the GPU is a whole different story.

Edit: take a look to this option at only 1096USD

This option looks more suitable

Great advice here, which pretty much sums up what you need. Last things I would add is screen quality and cooling system. I watched reviews on YouTube to get a good idea on these. Jarrod's Tech was my go to channel.

Personally I just got the Lenovo Legion 5i with the I7-10750 and RTX 2060 and it has been great. Not sure what the price is in the US.

Perhaps this one would be a good option for you?

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-10750H-Dual-Channel-PH315-53-72XD/dp/B08842D7JS/ref=pd_gwm_ci_mcx_mr_hp_m_0?pf_rd_s=blackjack-experiment-1&pf_rd_t=Gateway&pf_rd_i=mobile&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pd_rd_wg=pKjrm&pd_rd_r=GN95MJHD508M31NBPN23&pd_rd_w=yrVJ0&pf_rd_r=GN95MJHD508M31NBPN23&pf_rd_p=522eb2fb-f61b-45f6-a6a2-bc121e7d69e8&pd_rd_i=B08842D7JS

I haven't found any reviews on it since it was just released, but last year's model got great reviews, so it should be a safe bet.

Budget: $1300 Country: USA Screen Size: 15.6"+ Touch Screen: Optional Screen Resolution: 1920x1080 Does battery life matter?: Not really Tasks used for?: Gaming, processing Weight: Irrelevant Other details: I've been looking at this laptop for a while and it's about what I'm looking for, but thought you guys might have a better idea of where to get a similar laptop for a better price. One of the draws to it is you can order it with a backpack that's built for it, which is important to me. Currently carry around my laptop in an Aldi's cold holding bag, so I need an upgrade in that department as well.

Check if yours shop version of Legion screen is 144hz, because there are 2 versions on the market (one with 60hz...).

However 9300h is good but 4800h is smashing it.

Better consider something with 9750h/4800h/10750h

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-10750H-Dual-Channel-PH315-53-72XD/dp/B08842D7JS

Hey, looking to buy a new laptop. My budget would be $1800 max. I'm gonna start taking online courses for programming, I watch a lot of YouTube and other video streaming platforms, will be using Microsoft Office (or an equivalent) a bunch, and plan to start getting back into some pc gaming.

I don't typically play pc games that demand high processing (I don't think). Mostly just turn based strategy games and the like (Civilization, Crusader Kings, Age of Empires, Total War, etc.) or games like Cities: Skylines and The Sims.

I had asked a couple weeks back in r/pcgaming, and the Acer Predator Helios 300 was recommended.

I have since decided to go with it and came across your post in r/laptopdeals. I wonder if there are other laptops I should consider first.

I'm not really worried about the battery life, or screen resolution, or weight... just something that is fast for what I want to do and that won't need to be replaced anytime soon.

Thanks in advance for any advice and thanks for all the information you have put out.
