It'll be tough, 1440 @ 144hz W/ 27" is literally the borderline

I'm going to assume USD so that will help your case.

There are a whole world of options and most of them come down to specifics / aesthetic and your own environment.

Good luck

How are these AOC monitors? About six weeks ago I picked up one of these acer displays for $300 on sale and really love it. Couldn't afford a second at the time and wondering if this would make a good sister monitor for it?

Could you link the 32" versions you got from amazon?

It looks like this may be it https://www.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=32%22+acer&qid=1602687778&sr=8-6 but that's listed at $389

If you like to sit more than 2 feet away or so to your monitors I think the bigger version would be better and more immersive overall but it's hard to say. It's really preference.

yes, the ram situation sucks, i can upgrade the mobo to z170 so that i can unlock the cpu and and install better ram. Any recommendations on ram clock speed i should be looking for?

I just uninstalled the drivers with DDU. yes, it was sketch, but after doing some research I'm ok trying it.

Also, i'm not sure if my monitor is an ultrawide. It's a 31.5 Inches WQHD (2560 x 1440) but i run my games in 1920x1080 at 144hz - link to amazon product page here- https://www.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=ED323QUR&qid=1603059995&sr=8-1

There's a deal posted right now for the VIOTEK GNV27DB on the front page, which I've heard good things about (iirc Viotek uses samsung panels).

I personally use 2 of these, upgraded from a 27" 60Hz, although when I picked them up one was at around 300$ and the other at 250$:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S

The AOC CQ27G2 also tends to have deals around 260$, but it looks like the deal posted a few days ago is OOS now.

How is this compared to this Acer that was sale on prime day? I bought the Acer and it works fine, but I'm not 100% happy with the color and there is a little bit of ghosting.

I got this 32" curved monitor vert recently as an upgrade and so far I've had 0 complaints. Feel free to ask me any other questions about it if looking at the Amazon page doesnt give you what you want to know.

Acer ED323QUR Abidpx 31.5 Inches WQHD (2560 x 1440) Curved 1800R VA Gaming Monitor with AMD Radeon FREESYNC Technology - 4ms; 144Hz Refresh Rate; Display Port, HDMI Port & DVI Port,Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ikjUEbP70NMSH

Acer Nitro VG271U Pbmiipx 27" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS AMD Radeon FREESYNC Gaming Monitor, 144Hz, VESA Certified DisplayHDR400, DCI-P3, (2 x HDMI 2.0 Ports & 1 x Display Port),Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NFK9XST/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_8kjUEbTK1004H

I can’t decide between the two. I will primarily be using it for gaming for my new PC; however I am not a super professional gamer. I do play some competitive games time to time but having the ‘best of the best’ is not that important to me.

Any recommendations? I need it to be 144Hz 1440p and these both fit the criteria. The ED323QUR seems like the way to go because it is almost 4 inches bigger, but is VA. The other is IPS but only 27.

This is also coming from someone who has a 24 1080 monitor currently.

Monitor question.....

I currently have a benQ 32" 1440 60hz VA monitor. Would replacing it with a 32" VA 144hz monitor make a big enough difference to justify spending the money? I'm just wondering if it is truly a "didn't know I needed this until i tried it" type of thing. I play games, but nothing I would consider competitive or necessarily beneficial of the extra hz (Witcher, Asassins Creed, Nier Automata, borderlands), but I love me some eye candy. And Lastly, What would be the difference between an Acer versus a Voitek with the same specs? Thanks!

1080P but only 59 hz. Going to upgrade my monitor to one of these ( https://www.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=sr_1_31?dchild=1&keywords=4K+monitor&qid=1589333394&s=electronics&sr=1-31) in the next 2 weeks. Budget is under $600 if I upgrade the card

Good monitor(s) or not worth it?

I was looking at some 1440p 144hz monitors to get one for when I build my new PC, I was wondering if either of these two are worth it? They're on sale for quite a bit and I know "Amazon's Choice" shit can be really bad sometimes so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these? Or any recommendations?

Also, as you can see, one of them is 31.5 inches and curved, compared to 27 flat, for only 20 dollars more. This seems like too good to be true to me? Is it worth it? Do you prefer curved or straight? I've never used curved before but I think I would like it, it's just that 280 bucks is a lot to dive on something that I'm not 100% sure about you know? Thank you in advance guys, I hope this post isn't breaking any rules or anything, I just want to make sure I'm making a good decision before dropping a bunch of money.

Hi, so I would suggest the Ryzen 3 3200G, which is from their most recent series and will give you a bit more performance with overclocking. Also, the OLOy 16GB 3600 MHz kit will do you better with your CPU and just overall daily usage. As for PSU, this a great one that has a long-term warranty, gold, and modular: EVGA SuperNova 650w Gold+. There are 2060's in sales for about $300 and would give you a better performance.

Monitor: Acer ED323QUR

It looks like the model number ending in .001 (this deal - "widpx") is 75Hz, and the one with .A01 (not on deal - "abidpx") is 144Hz. Just clarifying

It all depends on what youre willing to spend frankly. The problem is that at 1080p it will be hard to justify the expense of a card like a 1660ti or a 5600xt. Youll end up paying 300-400$ for a fairly incremental bump in frames. All of your components look rock solid, if you dont have a good one I would invest in a solid display then worry about the GPU for your next upgrade. If you have a nice display and want to shell out some cash for a nice card (which is what I would do, your system is great), the 5700xt and 2060 super are great options. I have the 2070 super, and frankly if you dont care about RTX the 5700xt is a better buy for the price.

For reference here is the upgrade path I would take, but take my opinion with a grain of salt, its all subjective and about what matters to you.

First I'd get a decent 1440p or 4k display such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=acer+31&qid=1579636798&sr=8-1

Next the Graphics card:

https://www.newegg.com/powercolor-radeon-rx-5700-xt-axrx-5700-xt-8gbd6-3dhr-oc/p/N82E16814131756R?Description=powercoloer%205700xt&cm_re=powercoloer_5700xt-_-14-131-756R-_-Product

or

newegg.com/evga-geforce-rtx-2060-06g-p4-2068-kr/p/N82E16814487486?Description=rtx%202060&cm_re=rtx_2060-_-14-487-486-_-Product

after that the processor:

https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-3600-12-Thread-Processor/dp/B07STGGQ18/ref=sr_1_1?crid=33HBE9ME9JXDD&keywords=ryzen+5+3600&qid=1579636935&s=electronics&sprefix=ryzen+5+%2Celectronics%2C149&sr=1-1

and after that its really down to what happens in the hardware industry over the next few years. A quick note on the processor, unless you shell out a fat chunk of change like with the GPU you will have the same issue, its been to recent since youve built so the performance increase for the price simply isnt there yet. On the bright side, this means your processor is still rock solid. Good luck and Best Wishes
