Got three of these monitors

I also got the bezel free kit

So the project for this weekend is to install all three monitors on the living room wall. Then plug them into the PC and go from there.

I run a 27in flat, 165hz 0.5mm with g sync ASUS. Run it from my laptop, from a mini DP. Not sure really what it’s running but my FPS on everything high besides shadows turned off 80 - 120 FPS. It’s nice for me :) Not sure if I can post amazon links but I use this monitor, and I love it

Correct, I just found out that there are some freesync monitors that a software can convert to gsync. It might be worth looking into since freesync monitors tend to be cheaper. But if you don't want to go through the gymnastics of setting that up, you can just get gsync.

Here's a monitor I found on amazon (plus it's 5 bucks cheaper):

ASUS VG278QR 27” Gaming Monitor, 1080P Full HD, 165Hz (Supports 144Hz), G-SYNC Compatible, 0.5ms, Extreme Low Motion Blur, Eye Care, DisplayPort HDMI DVI https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XV1519W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9d-2EbDPGR85J

Really anything that says "gsync compatible" on it should work fine

Hey thanks for all your help! I think I'm going to go with this one. It is only 50 dollars more than the other one and I like some of the settings more as well as the adjustability. Is the 0.5 ms response time the best out there? I always hear people saying how great 1 ms is but this is half that

What about LCD? The monitor I have has a latency of .5 ms, or so it’s advertised. I really like the coloring and the viewing angles are perfectly fine for where I like to sit.

Can someone tell me if this is a good deal for a 27 inch? Or conversely if there's a better deal/product that's 27 inches with similar specs (27"/flat/1080p/G-Sync/144hz or 165hz)?: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VG278QR-Supports-Compatible-DisplayPort/dp/B07XV1519W

There's plenty, but depends on the size you're looking for. If I go on Amazon US and search "gsync monitor" a bunch of options come up. I'd recommend MSI as a personal experience. But AOC and Asus monitors have really good comments.

Yes, I found it to be a little smoother than the Logitech wheels.

You should also be able to find some decent 27" monitors in the $200-$250 range.

I'd say to change maybe your GPU and RAM. But at least the GPU probably to a 2060 ti or super. If you decide to go with the more expensive option of the TI version, it's only 100 more (USD), so about 79.58 more pounds than the current but it'll do the job well (at least from what I googled).

If you're willing to go a bit over budget, I think this monitor from Asus will do you good in gaming.

As far as networking, I would recommend trying to get Ethernet if you can. It's a generally cheap option that does you good (in places such as home depot and department stores). But not all Ethernet cables are the same so here's a guide to cover that. Also, just as a general rule of thumb, the longer the wire, you usually have more latency but it's usually not enough to get rid of Ethernet at all.

Nice. I didn't check all of the fan layouts. Just the parts overall. Also you might want to look into checking out the 5700 "XT" as well then against the 2070. You might be able to get a better deal for roughly the same performance with the 5700 XT. Either card would probably be good for you. Nvidia does have "RTX" for ray tracing so maybe that's something you'll enjoy more. That PSU has a 7 warranty so I'll expect a thank you many years from now. Good luck.

I also saw this 1440p monitor that you might want check out. I haven't compared it to yours, but if you can save some money on the GPU with the 5700 XT maybe you can get a larger monitor @ 1440p (0.5ms latency)

https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VG278QR-Supports-Compatible-DisplayPort/dp/B07XV1519W/

It's only $249.99. If you go with the AMD 5700XT don't worry about the "G-sync" branding crap. You'll be fine with Freesync\adaptive.

If you would like for me to edit your build I can give you the Kana Maru FineWine special.

I am not too concerned about pricing. As I am still under my budget

I did the same thing, purchase a 27.5” iMac in March. I instantly upgraded the ram to 64GB ( 16GB per cost about $68 each on amazon ) and purchased a new Razer keyboard, mouse, and mic. I ran World of Warcraft on MAX settings up until about 2 weeks ago - this is when I purchased a 165hz .5ms ASUS gaming monitor. This is where everything elevated for me graphics wise. You’ll need to grab a USB-C ( Apple calls it thunder port 3 ) to Hdmi DisplayPort adapter ( they’re like $18 on amazon ) for the screen to work as a second display.

I was getting 60 fps max on the iMac monitor, now I’m getting 150-165 fps on the ASUS monitor.

On my windows boot camp I’m running Valorant ( First person shooter ) at 165fps on max settings. The fucking difference is CRAZY!

Here is the screen I bought for $249

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07XV1519W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Here is the adapter

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07F17ZHJY?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Everything is literally better on the ASUS screen. Apple monitor caps out at 60hz and it sucks. Love the retina but with available tech out this isn’t their best work.

I’ll also drop a link of the 16GB RAM I installed.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071KP8CGJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

You can prob find all the stuff I listed elsewhere for cheaper, but I’m a Prime member with a prime credit card - so I’m getting rewards and a solid return/refund/replacement policy.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I am wanting to get a new monitor as I have an old Dell monitor that is only 60Hz. I'm mainly thinking I want a 27" screen as I think anything bigger would be too much for my space.

My PC specs are: Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 8gb of RAM (Something I plan to upgrade when I can)

Was hoping to get some perspective from you all as I've found some monitors on Amazon but want to make sure I get the most for my money. I'm more of a casual gamer but still want to optimize the best I can.

To add as suggested main game is escape from tarkov but also apex, warzone, divinity, ark. Also just enjoy watching movies and videos on my computer.

Here are some of the ones I'm looking at...

AOC

Dell

Asus

LG

Thank you.
