TBH, with a PC I play online and shooters, so 100+ FPS helps tremendously. I don't play them on console at all. I use my PS5 for the exclusives, which are all story driven. A story driven game that's cinematic will look great at 60fps.

If you don't want to game over 60fps on your PC, that's fine, but with shooters or games that require quick movement and clicking, then you're going to be at a disadvantage.

As for what monitor to get, any IPS 27'' will be ideal. I see you have up to $500, if so this is one of the best.

I will say though, ultrawide is pretty damn dope and $500 gets you a damn good 1440/144hz 32'' or 34'' ultrawide. I just moved to one myself from a 27'' 1440/144

Is this monitor gsync compatible? I just purchased the Asus Tuf VG27AQ for $430.00. Not sure if I should return it and get this instead. I know the one I purchased is an IPS panel and this is a VA but I dont know if I would be able to tell the difference.

just got a new monitor (ASUS TUF VG27AQ) and for some reason my xbox is giving me the option for 4k...? the monitor is only 1440p...? wtf
havent had any issues when setting it to the 4k option, but why is this happening?

It wouldn't be a good monitor for the 3070. By the way, I think I stepped back on my monitor to a 27" ASUS flat panel since I cannot justify the cost of a low input high performance ultra wide.

This monitor is crazy good! Keep in mind with 1440p you are mostly confined to play games in 1440p. You can still play 1080p but it’s a bit fuzzy. Fps is great if you don’t need over 160fps in all games. You’ll get around 100-160 in most games.

Follow up, I actually found this monitor, which is pretty recent, the VG27AQ. It seems to tick all the boxes for you and I.
