Same here, just bought it from Newegg - until I realized Amazon also reduced it earlier today. Had to cancel the Newegg because I prefer Amazon's return policy more.

All of ASRock's B550 boards are now listed on Amazon. They don't have a listed release date but IIRC they should all ship on June 16th. If anyone has more info, please back up or refute my claims.

I cannot afford to upgrade gpu at the moment but even if I get a up to date one, the difference is only 2-4% from my current 580.

Well, you mentioned that you're having trouble finding older B450 motherboards at reasonable prices. I brought up B550 because they are newer, easier to find, are guaranteed to come with Ryzen 3000 compatibility, are generally better quality, and have a lot more features than their B450 counterparts.

If you were trying to find a B450 Tomahawk Max at its MSRP of around $120, I suggest finding an equivalent B550 motherboard at around that price. As I've mentioned, the Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro is a good bet at around $130.

If you're looking for something even cheaper, the ASRock B550M Pro4 is currently on backorder for $115 on Amazon, and the Gigabyte B550M DS3H is even lower at $95. However, I would recommend getting the highest quality board that you can fit into your budget. The board you buy now might determine longevity and upgradability later down the line.

So for the asrock motherboard there’s two options: 94$ and 119$ but I think the 94$ is smaller? Not to sure. Would it make a difference? They look the same

I would not get a 2600 at this point, especially with Zen 3 right around the corner. Instead, you would actually save $40 or so by going with the Ryzen 3 3100. You would need a B550 motherboard, but you'd still come out ahead.

I thought I was tripping when I did a quick glance at the ATX version with the higher price tag. The subtle difference with the M really threw me off with the similar pictures.

- A cheaper and slightly better PSU be quiet! Pure Power 11.

- There are cheaper cases with better airflow. Aerocool Aero Eclipse or Cooler Master NR400.

- A cheaper B550 board worth considering. ASRock B550M Pro4.
