I bought a USB fan this past week and have it blowing over the water. It has dropped the temps 6-8 degrees!

Get some double sided tape and mount the USB cable to the side of the tank. Most of the aquarium fans on Amazon are for rimless tanks. They won’t work with the black rims

You'll thank me later.

These things are a god send for random little hot devices, from router to raspberry pi.

Even stick it in my laptop to blow on my when it's too hot in the summer

I got one of these to plug into my power bank. It works great but still a little heavy for me. Mainly use it in the office now. I’m sure there are lighter options. When it’s hot the true ultralighter in me just says embrace the suck. https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Breeze-Mobile-Flexible-Portable/dp/B003XN24GY

I saw some people were suggesting a usb fan like this https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Breeze-Mobile-Flexible-Portable/dp/B003XN24GY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=arctic+breeze+mobile+usb+fan&qid=1590584271&sprefix=arctic+breeze&sr=8-1.

To further lower the temps you can install throttlestop to undervolt the cpu core and cache and limit the maximum turbo speed to something like 3.7/3.8ghz

Maybe something like this should keep the smoke circulating.

I actually use this to keep my router cool. Its kind wedged between things and not getting a lot of airflow. You can actually put it in the back and point it towards the top of the receiver to keep airflow going

Things like this is why I keep a USB fan or three on hand. Something this plugging into the USB port is perfect.

Another important thing to think about is the location of the PS3 and the airflow in the room.

Do not put your PS3 inside a cabinet - even with the door open. This is a death sentence.

It must live in an open air environment. Lower to the ground is optimal but not necessary.

I use a little USB fan to help intake air into the front grill of my A01. Its nothing major it just helps it run a bit quieter overall. a table fan or anything could do the same job.

This little fan works for me in my 20 gallon long tank. It can cool temperatures down up to 3 degrees in about 30 minutes or so. Here’s the link.

Get one of these and stick it in a USB-port on the router instead

Same, I spent a lot of time searching.

I've had it running for almost 2 days pre-clearing the Seagate drives. No problems so far with the Kingston ValueRAM (linked in OP.)

No case yet so parts are just resting on a project board cooled by a little pinwheel USB fan. About 80% load and 45C is as cool as my Raspberry Pi with the same fan, impressive.

Probably in the next few days I'll test Corsair Vengeance and Crucial RAM for compatibility.

I got a small USB fan. Plug it into a port and aim it at the Mini. It works.

If the heat is an issue get a USB fan and bend the stalk to point at the case. That's what I do, works great.

yes undervolting helps (use ThrottleStop) and also I saw it was recommended to use a USB fan. I picked up the one that was recommended 2 weeks ago and I'm seeing much better temps on my SFP7

I’ve actually had this same issue! What I did was watched this video. It gave me a very cheap option for around $20. What you will need to get is a usb fan and a usb converter so you can plug it in the wall. I just taped mine to the side of the enclosure, works wonders, and it’s quiet. You can also aim it whereever you want, so you can have varying levels of coolness. Works for land and water. Here’s the link to the stuff:

USB converter: AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female Adapter Cord - 6.5 Feet (2 Meters) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NH136GE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_O4IfFbHBXWYF1

USB fan: ARCTIC Breeze Mobile - Mini USB Desktop Fan with Flexible Neck, Portable Desk Fan for Home, Office, Silent USB Fan, Fan Speed: 1700 RPM - White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003XN24GY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_e5IfFbKQD8AVZ

Video Calls in general seem to make the Go 2 turbo by a lot. It's probably the only thing that really taxes my go 2 besides like trying to play games or something. You will want to get a little fan to point to the back. It helps a lot. Most people recommend this arctic fan.

I got this Noctua instead so that it's a cable instead instead that I can reposition and put in more places. Also Noctua fans come with a 6 Year Warranty.

About a year ago I made/posted this. Using everything but the Pi Zero I made a new server!

Specs: Raspberry Pi 4 4GB, running Raspbian. The case is a Pimoroni Pibow Coupe 4 - ninja with the Pimoroni fan SHIM. The box I used was lying around and I thought it looked nice so I cut holes for cables and a hole for the fan. The box also has inserts so below the pi and hard drives is a usb hub and all the cables. The fan is a usb fan plugged into the hub to keep airflow in the box and keep the hard drives cool.

Software: The Pi runs docker which has 4 containers: Portainer, Samba, Pi-hole, and Duck DNS. Separate from docker is Pi VPN (I know I could run this in a container but I wanted to be able to remote into it in case docker fails or a container stops. Also there is no official Pi VPN container). Lastly, it runs a small Java vanilla Minecraft server for my friends using PaperMC.

Uploading a folder with 10GB of files to the Samba share takes about 2 minutes, and averages at about 90 MB/s locally on my network. The Minecraft server easily handled 7 players at once (have not been able to test any more players) with about 18-19 TPS (ticks per second). If someone is curious, I could get more into the specifics of the Minecraft server as I have made a lot of performance optimizations to get it to run smoothly without affecting gameplay.
