What’s your budget? For under $500, AOC makes an amazing ultra wide. 34” curved, 1440p, 1ms, 144hz, Freesync. I just bought it from Amazon after searching for over a month for one.

It’s 24 extra hz, better response time, freesync and gsync (my laptops a 2060 but my desktop is 2 Vega frontiers so having both is nice) extra DisplayPort and extra hdmi. And a 4 port usb hub instead of a 2. Imo well worth and a notable upgrade. Also has a internal psu instead of a huge brick.

If you already have windows you also don't need to buy another key, you can use the same license on your new pc. I'd recommend getting a larger SSD for your boot drive (atleast 500gb), and maybe look at a single 21:9 monitor like this in place of the two separate monitors.

Got this AOC 34” 144hz for $450 last week.
AOC CU34G2X 34" Curved Frameless Immersive Gaming Monitor, UltraWide QHD 3440x1440, VA Panel, 1ms 144Hz Freesync, Height Adjustable, 3-Yr Zero Dead Pixels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZB2TNZZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_uRJVEb5XR2RGG
I tried a $60 single mount today, that I really liked and hated to put back in the box, but it was only 24” high from the VESA center...6” inches short from what I needed to get above the 22” inch height of the ultrawide.
I looked and looked and looked and couldn’t find a single arm mount that went above 26” inches (13”in pole + 13”in arm lift).
If you happen to find a single arm with at least 30”in height from desk to VESA Center mount, please let me know. I’d definitely check it out. If not, this behemoth should last me for many years, and battle stations, to come.

thanks for the detailed write up, you are right, there are fairly little reviews available online. i noticed you mentioned VESA requires a separate adapter but based on the product image, it has the standard 4 VESA screws. can you confirm once more? still happy with the monitor?

It's the AOC 34 Inch Ultrawide - https://www.amazon.com/AOC-CU34G2X-Frameless-Immersive-Adjustable/dp/B07ZB2TNZZ
I picked it up from the local microcenter for $400 on sale. The current price on Amazon is too expensive for me when you can go with a similarly spec'd model from Gigabyte or Monoprice.

Price should be $430 so wait for restock. Great for productivity and some wide gaming for a good price. VA panel, but IPS will cost you at least $800 for something similar. Colors are sightly darker but can increase brightness/change setting to display hdr. On screen controls take a bit to get used to, but not so bad afterwards. 49” G9 is the go to in r/ultrawidemasterrace but 1k+ price tag at least. For now, this is great for me.

I have an aoc cu34g2x
and two aoc cq27g2 on the sides.
1 x 34 2 x 27
They VA panels, but they check off quite a few checkboxes and the 34 in can be found for around 450.
I felt that was a decent compromise for me instead of getting 1 x $1000+ screen. I probably would've gotten better hdr and slightly better color. But I'm quite happy with the setup.
Not exactly what you wanted, but giving you other options to consider.

As someone who has been eying every 34" UW under the sun, the best value currently is the AOC CU34G2X
Unlike the LG, this is a 1440p 144hz. The LG is 144hz 1080p. The next cheapest panel is the Nixeus EDG 34" 1440p 144hz at \~550

I saw this on Newegg too for only $300 and I was gonna buy it but it was out of stock. So I just left my email to notify me when it’s available, I was searching through amazon and came across a “AOC CU34G2X 34inch” for only $430 on Amazon which is actually lower then what its actually selling at amazon ~$620 (don’t know how this happened) and I ordered it just in case and I kinda compared the two and they both have pretty much the same spec by It I went with the AOc because of the bigger frame. Thanks for the recommendation tho

if you are interested in UW tho check out /r/ultrawidemasterrace
they can point you in direction of the best budget monitor. i think AOC is the best right now

If your in a budget get this, it's has pretty good value. Needs some calibrating though. Got this 2 weeks ago and pretty satisfied. It's been as low at $437 now it's at $530ish https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZB2TNZZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I heard this monitor is pretty good as well, I just couldn't get myself to buy a gaming monitor strictly due to aesthetics.

Is this ever going to be back in stock or has it been discontinued? If so, what are some comparable monitors?

This has much better specs than what you saw, except for it's a VA panel and not IPS, meaning all colors except for black and white won't be as good.
Hz is just how fast the screen redraws an image per second, 60 times per second, 144 times per second or frames per second. 60 is standard, 144+ is for competive gamers and provides a smoother experience.

Muy copado. Felicitaciones!

I'm holding out for a 5900X and 6800Xt too, pending benchmarks. This is the Ultrawide 1440p monitor I currently have as my central monitor - AOC CU34G2X
This monitor has rave reviews and is mentioned a lot on the /r/ultrawidemasterrace subreddit as being one of the best.

Oof I definitely want to avoid ghosting, especially in any kind of shooter. How common is this with VA panels? I'm not particularly attached to IPS panels.
Is this the AOC you are referring to?

Ah I see. Yeah, if a 144hz 3440x1440 ultrawide is in your budget, I'd recommend it.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZB2TNZZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_fBMLFb0ZS31Y5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 like this is good. Sadly they cost much more than normal 27" 144hz monitors
1 points • hansbrixx
All the options at this price sell out almost immediately unfortunately. If you're in interested (and in the San Francisco Bay Area), I'm willing to sell this as I was able to snag a similar monitor which has a few more inputs but is essentially the same monitor: https://www.amazon.com/AOC-CU34G2X-Frameless-Immersive-Adjustable/dp/B07ZB2TNZZ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2M9XO699ZIUR0&dchild=1&keywords=aoc+34+inch+curved+monitor&qid=1591569017&sprefix=aoc+34%2Caps%2C218&sr=8-1
