So I bought this nice new gaming monitor and now all of a sudden I'm a 30 year old
hot latino congressman that endorses Joe Biden for president. How did this happen?

I'm planning on buying a new system but I'm not sure what to do about my monitor/s.
One is 16:9, the other 16:10. I'm thinking about this one:

I'm currently using a i5-4670k with a gtx 780. It runs everything at the lowest settings possible. I plan to upgrade to a ryzen 3600 with a 5700xt. My budget is about $1000.
Is that a good enough monitor or should I add in more budget to get an upgraded monitor?

You can get an AOC C27G1 for 189.00 USD, It only had freesync though, but this is the best bang-for-buck 144 hz monitor out there

1440p 144hz good color settings , low input lag and big enough with a curve. Again it’s just a recommendation use mine as a reference if need be if you’re looking for something else, good luck man!

This is the monitor that I have been using and I have been really enjoying it, The only down side that I could see someone having is that it has no audio output.

Would this, the 1080p version, work?

I honestly would get the exact same monitor. The computer should be support both monitors fine. But that's just me and my OCD with symmetry lol.
But if you don't want to match, I'd suggest this curved monitor

I picked up the 32" version of this guy several weeks ago for $300 and I flipping love it, but they have a 27" (still curved, 2k, 144hz) for usually around $220 when it's in stock: (AOC CQ27G1 - Amazon)

That’s the link to the monitor! I’m using the stand that came with it. It’s height adjustable, which is awesome. The only downside is the legs are a bit big for my taste, but that seems to be the trend with new monitors.

I was debating the G2590 monitors but ultimately went with a C27G1 and I'm really happy I did.
1080p doesn't look pixel perfect at 27 inches, but it still looks really good. For $220 there's nothing to complain about. The monitor I received was amazing in every way, I really don't understand the negative reviews.

I also saw this one https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C24G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=gaming%2Bmonitor&qid=1599953699&sr=8-8&th=1
How do you think that is compared to the one you linked? Does the 75 Hz vs 144 hz matter? (im sure it does but I have no clue)

2070 Super worth it?
Hey everyone,

I am looking into building a PC, i posted the build with the parts last week but it did not get much traction, so im hoping i could get an answer here.

I wanted to future proof the PC, so i was thinking about going with 2070 Super, but due to budget reasons, i was looking at 1080 screens, something like this one (2 of them)
https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C27G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD5XG5G

is it worth having 2070 Super, and not having 4k screens? Should i just get 2060 Super instead?

thank you!

This one has plenty of good reviews on amazon. 144hz will change your life, I have a 1440p 144hz monitor and even though I can rarely run at the max fps if at all, it's SOOOO worth it.

On amazon they are selling the older model of this monitor for $299 Refurbished and $459 new

I got Redragon Combo for only $50(Canadian) for my first PC Build. Comes with keyboard, mouse, headset and mouse pad. So far it works fine so definitely would recommend. Now a monitor was a challenge for me, and got AOC C27G1 27” curved 144Hz , which is usually on sale and I think more of the budget for Gaming monitors out there.
1 points • thebot_austin
Thank you for the peripherals, good to know. Out of the two monitors I was thinking of getting, whether it was curved or flat, was about a $5 difference right now, which is no problem, unless I get a 27", which I heard is minimum when getting curved, and that runs about 30 over the flat monitor. If you wanted to see the monitors I was thinking of getting, here are the two links: Flat Monitor and the Curved Monitor. If you recommend any other monitors under $200 (and preferably 27" or VA panel), it'd be greatly appreciated!!
1 points • Jordaneer
what is reasonable? gaming monitors can range anywhere from a little over $100 to $1500+, If you want very good color, you want an IPS panel which is more expensive than TN or VA, especially for high refresh rate,
If you can spend $300 or so, this is a pretty good VA panel thats 1440p and 144hz

This is the correct url guys, for whatever reason despite taking the URL for the 27 inch it keeps going to the 32 inch. Correct price will be on the right sold by amazon

That monitor seems pretty good for the price. But you could also get this one https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C27G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=1080p+27%22+144hz+monitor&qid=1602139315&sr=8-3 Also, Response time doesn't matter at all, there is an extremely low difference between 1ms and 5ms and the average human response time is around 215ms. But anyways, this monitor is basically the same thing but its 144hz and has a VA panel, which is brighter with less saturated colors. Also it has Freesync.

Maybe a small storage SSD if possible, since it would help booting and increase loading times by ALOT. So yeah, consider that (Haven't done this in like 2 months getting back into it)

Alright so here is your revised build by yours truly.

THE FINAL PRICE IS $1485.07
The monitor is actually only $144.99 right now on Amazon (great sale). PC part picker if a little slow to update.

I changed your motherboard to the B550 so you'll be set in the future and get PCIe 4.0 as new NVMe and GPUs release to take advantage of the bandwidth. There are other benefits as well.
I provided another solid PSU just in case you can't get your hands on the SeaSonic Focus GOLD. The EVGA SuperNOVA is a solid PSU that I can personally and honestly say is great with great warranty as well.
I changed your NVMe SSD to a cheaper, but reliable version. You shouldn't have any problems with it.
I also changed your GPU to the Sapphire Radeon 5700 XT 8GB Pulse. It is also a solid GPU for the price and performance.
Got you some more cheaper and solid DRAM as well. You can change the color to black, red, grey or whatever is available.
The PC case with the fan is nice. I was going to mess around with the case and add some RGB fans, but I think what you have for now is solid overall.
So for $1485.07 bucks what do you think?
Now I CAN save you even more if you want to drop back down to the Ryzen 2000 series, but the current build should set you for many years in the future as AMD releases their 4000 series CPUs AND as manufacturers release devices that will take advantage of the B550 PCIe 4.0 technology.

Is it its own separate system from the router and stuff or is it like a subunit? Also, are there any links to good ethernet. I was thinking about one of these monitors

I’m not an expert on PCs but I’ll try my best to explain.
The HDMI 2.0 port on the left supports 1080p 240hz, 1440p 144hz, and 4k 60hz. The HDMI port is directly connected to the Radeon Vega iGPU so Freesync should work through the HDMI port.
The USB-C on the LEFT is a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and it is directly connected to the Nvidia dGPU. Displayport 1.4 supports 1080p and 1440p gaming at 240hz, and 4k 60hz. The USB-C on the right is just for data transfer and charging external devices. You can charge your laptop through the left USB-C, although it is limited to 65w, unlike the full sized charger which is 180w.
I ordered this monitor for $189 and this DisplayPort cable for $15.99. I am planning to connect my monitor through the USB-C port on the left.
For monitor recommendations, I will leave a few links. Keep in mind I don’t own all of these monitors and these recommendations are based on online and YouTube recommendations.
What I ordered ($189 when I bought it)
A generally well accepted budget monitor ($154.97 at the time this was written)
A budget 144hz monitor but it’s frequently out of stock (last time I checked it was $144)
Always keep your eyes open for frequent restocks from Amazon. They tend to pop up multiple times. Don’t waste your money at Amazon buying stuff with “See all buying options”

This is definitely a bit overkill, but it's a hell of a machine. 1 tb NVME SSD, 2060 super just so you can play minecraft with that beautiful raytracing, great PSU, great looking case, ram, etc., awesome keyboard and mouse, list goes on. Its more than you need for modded minecraft, so what you do is up to you. If you look up budget builds on youtube for a gaming pc you can definitely find something for a lot cheaper than this, but if you have the budget you have the budget! Oh, and here's a beautiful 1440p monitor so you can witness that minecraft in all its glory.
Or, if you'd prefer a 1080p monitor that can display a higher fps, check this one out - https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C32G1-Frameless-1920x1080-DisplayPort/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=5M5C1GZ2E236&dchild=1&keywords=msi%2Bmag241c&qid=1588922510&sprefix=msi%2Bmag2%2Caps%2C240&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTkM4VE9OODZHQlQ5JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjYyNjEyQTgxWVFRQzUySlEyJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1ODAzNzkzNTJBSFlOWjIyUE85JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1
