Here's a grip that's pretty nice. It's 30 bucks but it also comes with a knuckle strap which is super comfortable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X117LPR/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_tifMEbWEWQKC4

Before I bought these, the battery cover would slip open while I was playing Beat Saber. These have a rubber grip which prevents that from happening.
The product comes with 2 pairs of elastic rubber knuckle straps (2 white, 1 red, 1 blue), which can be adjusted to your desired tightness and come with an extra pair of clamps (I forgot what they were called) if you need the strap to be tighter.
During gameplay, they hold the controllers to my hands securely even when I’m waving my arms around like a maniac. Over time, I think the straps will eventually lose their elasticity, but I’d definitely recommend them.

You can just super glue it. Also you should get knuckle grips for you controllers just so you have a little more security, I have a pair on mine and they work great. Here’s the link to them: https://www.amazon.com/AMVR-Controller-Oculus-Anti-Throw-Protective/dp/B07X117LPR/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=oculus+quest+knuckle+grips&qid=1588815338&sprefix=oculus+quest+knuc&sr=8-3

I feel the current consensus on Reddit is, given the reputation VR Cover has for long shipping delays and the $35 price tag (including shipping), you're better off with the AMVR knuckle grips on Amazon. Those are $25 (fast & free shipping) and include lens covers and a nose light blocker. The caveat of course is that no one has tried the VR Cover ones yet but they look very similar to the AMVR grips

Thanks.
I have one other issue I have to contend with is that I have the AMVR Grips, which are awesome but prohibit the controllers from interlocking I believe.
I am also going to Plasti Dip the foam. Do I need 1 or 2 cans?

Buy beat saber and thank me later. I normally don't like rhythm games but I am addicted to beat saber.
Get a good set of rechargeable batteries.
Buy these grips.
I was going to mention the humble bundle but you are ahead of me there. Free games I recommend rec room. You should try echo VR also, its free and very popular but not my cup of tea.

I'm gonna wait until I got the G2 and see what comes out for the facial interface, never know, the one it comes with might feel good, Tyriel and MRTV both say its really comfortable...
I do hope some good controller grips come out (made for G2, MRTV or Tyriel used their mamut grips DX on it, but they were tight and not really made for it), I like the AMVR ones, I hope AMVR makes some for the G2, they have an elastic type band that I think feels softer and just better on my hand than the Mamut shoelace ones. I'm sure some good addons will come out after the release :)

knuckle straps are a must have for active games like Echo VR. Also the Elite Strap, or other strap replacement (there might be some smart people with 3D printers making interested things)

They look slightly different, but functionally look the same as the ones I got on Amazon. The site also says it should work for Quest 2, so I'd wager it should be fine. If you want to compare, this is is the grips I got.

That actually looks like it could still be functional. Down in that part sure just be a connection to the bottom of the battery. If you have have a soldering iron you could reattach the wire and you'd back up and running.
And if it does work, I'd recommend ordering the AMVR rift S grips. I find them more comfortable than the Mamut ones I had for the cv1.

It is fixable. Just slide the strap through the plastic piece while turning it in the direction it should be. It will straighten out. I have had it happen to me too, and even after fixing it it will revert occasionally just by putting the wrist straps on normally.
My final "fix" was to replace the included straps with these:

Keeps the battery door from slipping off and you can relax your hands without dropping the controllers.

I have bought one of your covers and love them! Since I have you on here, could you let me know if there are any grip straps that are compatible and can fit around the size of the ring covers? Like one of these, or similar? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X117LPR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_uwZYFbX0HYPJZ

Have you tried something like this? These turn the Quest controllers into something more like what the Index has.
1 points • ThMogget
The best protection for your Quest controllers is more aggressive Guardian settings.
I have the AMVR grips that strap your hand to the controller.

My must have list includes VR Cover face pad and AMVR Controller grips. Both are pretty much a necessity as far as I am concerned.
These are the AMVR grips I use and although they are for the Quest 1 they work great on Quest 2, but I'm sure there will be an updated model soon. https://www.amazon.com/AMVR-Controller-Oculus-Anti-Throw-Protective/dp/B07X117LPR

They're the AMVR Grips. Got them on Amazon and I really like them.

been using my Rift S for a couple months and it's been an absolute blast, my brain is currently unable to think about anything that isn't Half-Life: Alyx related.
I also picked up these grips for the controllers, they borrow the design of the Index controller knuckle straps and they are amazing, I definitely recommend if you are looking for a more immersive experience.

I would recommend the AMVR Touch Controller Grip Cover. Then you will have way better grip and alos an protective sleeve

Looks like a poorly designed product. I know lots of people use them and rave about them but I went with THESE and enjoy them a lot. If you're willing to spend more money on a similar product you might give them a try. Maybe you can sell the Mamut Grips on craigslist or ebay or something and recoup some cost.
1 points • Turtleshell64
Not first party, definitely third party. I think the other major third party brand for this was the marmot grip (forgot the name) but this is the one I bought. Not as robust as the index one but functionally similar

I’m also a PSVR guy. On The first day with my Quest was also pretty unsure. It’s been getting better very day, as I figure out comfort issues and get used to the controllers.
I think I’m going to try the knuckle controller straps, once they are released for Q2
Here are the knuckles made for Q1

Personally yes because they feel very immersive in games and they dont bother me on my hands. Especially because I absolutely hate the quest straps to the point I took them off. Plus if you have bigger hands the straps will be way better for you if you buy them online but but probably cheaper if you make them yourself. I have the AMVR straps and they work well for me.

I already threw a controller, luckily it didn't hit anything and the controller was fine, but I immediately bought these
