Today is the only day I have seen anyone complain about VRoptician, which is where I ordered mine from.

These do keep glasses off my Quest, but they are overpriced and it's still really uncomfortable so I've just been playing blurry for now: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089FB5W1N

Glasses in the HMD can be a little challenging. I suggest purchasing some bumpers and upgrading the headstrap.

These are the bumpers I got AMVR Lens Anti-Scratch Ring... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089FB5W1N?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Would these work? I have a $20 gift card so I can afford these and I want them to come by the 13th, so that's why I'm leaning towards these

I bought these off Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/AMVR-Anti-Scratch-Protecting-Scratching-Compatible/dp/B089FB5W1N

Inexpensive and they work well. I like that they have a silicone cover over the spacers that protects your glasses from scratches.

Use these (the thickest ones). They’re silicone so they won’t damage your glasses either.

These are what I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089FB5W1N/

They're silicon protectors. Come in 3 different sizes and 2 different colors for a total of 6 sets. The largest is size 1 at 7mm, size 2 at 5mm and size 3 at 4mm. Keep in mind this is in addition to the plastic base they attach to. Size 3 was too shallow for me, the Quest lenses stuck out slightly above the silicon meaning I could still touch them with my glasses. Size 1 was too big, when I tightened the straps they shoved my glasses into my face uncomfortably. Size 2 fit well. High enough to protect the lenses and doesn't touch my glasses until I really really tighten it. Since they're silicon they don't scratch my glasses.

Also, are you sure of the prescription? Typically far sighted people don't need glasses on VR and some VR lenses makers don't even offer far sighted lenses. If he has trouble seeing things when they're up close he's nearsighted and his prescription should be measured in negative numbers.

i got these amvr lens bumper things. I wear my glasses all the time in them and I haven't scratched the lens yet. I bought them because I had scuffed the lens that i was thankfully able to buff out. I would suggest these because it doesn't matter if you are wearing glasses or contacts, the vr lens will be protected. If you get the prescription lens inserts and you are wearing contacts in that moment, you'll have to go take them out to play vr.

Love it! Just try to make sure theres a tiny gap between the glasses and headset lenses because if they're rubbing they could scratch.

Might consider a set of these just in case: AMVR Lens protectors $15 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089FB5W1N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_U.UeFbBG8RM5P

I wear glasses and find using contacts to be a far more enjoyable experience, however now that I have these guys I rarely bother to put in contacts and just use my glasses. All my family wear glasses so these SHOULD keep my Oculus from getting scratched.

Even if you're far sighted you should use glasses for better visibility.

100% get these while you wait on your prescription lenses from whoever you choose.

I'm using VROptitian lenses. I'm using same prescription no problems here.. although I am near sighted.

You can see if Oculus can send you a replacement. Alternately, you can purchase some lens protectors via Amazon that take the place of the rings (the other one can simply be popped out). I bought these and they work well for me; they fit the Quest, Quest 2 and Rift S as all have the same lens shape.

Ya I wear glasses and I have a Rift S and a Quest 2.

Get these https://www.amazon.com/AMVR-Anti-Scratch-Protecting-Scratching-Compatible/dp/B089FB5W1N

and youll be fine. Make sure they have the silicon covers or the rings will protect the headset but scratch up your glasses.

I play both just fine with glasses just be careful taking the headset on and off because even with those protectors if you have pointy glasses you could still scratch the lenses and they scratch super easy. edit: (only if you take the headset off at weird angles or wiglle your glasses around a lot, non typical use basically)

I would just get the quest 2. You can still play pcvr games with virtual desktop if you have a decent computer.

Maybe just happened to sit the wrong way in your last session.

You can try removing it with polywatch as described here.

And I would pick up some lens protectors like these. There's a free design to 3D print them yourself too, if that's an option.

Just saying I wear glasses and was worried about this so I picked up some AMVR glasses protector which fits right on the lens and it makes it so you don't need to use a glasses spacer. I love it and you might want to consider checking it out(It doesn't ruin FOV at all and helps with blocking light

It can scratch the Oculus lenses or your glasses. However, there are some solutions that work better than a spacer. I am getting this one for my Quest 2: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089FB5W1N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use a Rift S. I wear glasses 100% of the time. I bought cheap 3d printed lens protectors on amazon. I believe they were $17? You pop off the lens covers, and pop on the new ones. This keeps your glasses from hitting the lenses of the VR headset. I can't speak for other headsets, however.

I haven't seen any silicon covers for the Quest 2 facial interface yet, but the Q1 covers fit ok.
